The first battle concluded exactly as it had in the anime. Midoriya had been taken to the infirmary, his injuries severe yet expected. Meanwhile, Bakugo returned to the monitoring room in silence, his hands clenched into fists and his teeth gritted in frustration. Uraraka and Iida followed close behind, their expressions somber as they lined up for All Might's debrief.

All Might began explaining their faults, his tone a blend of encouragement and critique. Yaoyorozu interjected occasionally, offering her own sharp insights on their strategies and execution.

Clearing his throat, All Might turned to the next pair. His booming voice filled the room as he announced, "Up next are Team B and Team I. This battle will take place in another building. Make your way there!"

At that moment, a notification appeared in Shiro's vision.

[New Quest: Win the Battle. Reward: 20,000 XP.]

Shiro's fists clenched upon reading it. '20,000 points... I really hope to win, but it's not guaranteed. I need to make sure I don't succumb to Todoroki's ice, and that Ojiro stays in the fight long enough to be useful.'

As Shiro prepared to leave, Uraraka forced a smile despite her lingering disappointment and gave him a thumbs-up. "Good luck, Shiro!"

"Go get 'em!" Iida added, his voice loud and resolute.

Mineta shrugged dismissively. "He's got that monster form. He'll be fine. I don't think anyone can beat him."

Jirou chimed in with a raised eyebrow. "But it's indoors. I doubt he'd use that unless he wants to lose the battle instantly by crushing the building on himself."

"I second that," Yaoyorozu added, her tone thoughtful.

Kirishima hardened his arms, clashing them together with excitement. "Still, it'll be a manly battle. Shiro and Todoroki were among the highest scorers in the Quirk Apprehension Test. There's no way this will be boring!"

While the others speculated, Bakugo remained silent, his eyes fixed on the screen. His mind was still replaying his earlier loss.

Shiro waved at his friends before leaving the room, heading to the building designated for their match.

Standing at the top floor where the weapon was located, Shiro turned to Ojiro. "Keep off the ground. From what we've seen, Todoroki can use ice, but we don't know the full extent of his abilities."

Ojiro chuckled nervously, scratching his cheek. "I don't think his ice can reach all the way up here—"

"Don't underestimate them!" Shiro snapped, his tone sharp. "I need you. I can't face them alone."

Ojiro blinked, then nodded, his expression growing serious. "So, do you have a plan?"

Shiro nodded. "I do. After Todoroki's first attack, I'll head to the lower floors and rush him to prevent a second attempt. You stay behind and keep Shoji occupied. Once I take care of Todoroki, I'll come back up. Can you hold him off?"

Ojiro clenched his fists, determination flashing in his eyes. "It's a tall order, but I can handle it."

Shiro smirked. "Then can you stand on your tail?"

Ojiro raised an eyebrow but balanced himself on his tail, the appendage acting like a sturdy base.

Shiro's smirk widened. "Good. This might sound awkward, but mind giving me a piggyback? Oh, and you're probably going to lose some hair from your tail."

Though baffled, Ojiro crouched slightly and gestured for Shiro to hop on. "Alright... Hop on. I'll trust you."

In the monitoring room, the students stared at the screen, watching as Ojiro gave Shiro a piggyback while balancing on his tail.

"Uh... Anyone know what's going on?" Kaminari asked, pointing at the display.

"I have no clue," Yaoyorozu replied, her brow furrowed in confusion.

"Shiro…" Uraraka muttered under her breath, her eyes fixed on the screen.

As expected, Todoroki initiated his attack by freezing the building. Ice rapidly spread from the ground floor, climbing the walls and even reaching the ceiling, until it arrived at the top floor where Shiro and Ojiro stood.

'Shoji's hearing and sensory abilities are insane,' Shiro thought as he watched the ice creep up Ojiro's tail.

"It's just as you said!" Ojiro exclaimed, looking down at the ice encapsulating the hairs of his tail.

The ice stopped spreading, giving Shiro the chance to jump off Ojiro's back. He crouched down and grabbed the hairs trapped in the ice. Bundling them to avoid pulling at the roots, he tugged gently, freeing Ojiro's tail.

Climbing back onto his feet, Ojiro patted Shiro on the back. "Go get 'em."

Shiro smirked and sprinted down the stairs, careful not to slip on the frozen surface.

In the monitoring room, the students were abuzz with speculation.

"I see now!" Kaminari exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "But how could they have predicted something like that?"

"They must've been observing Todoroki's abilities during the Quirk Test," Yaoyorozu reasoned. "But even so, predicting he'd be able to freeze an entire building is impressive…"

"What?! How can he even do that?" Mineta yelled, eyes wide in disbelief.

"And he's only freezing in thin layers, keeping his teammate unharmed," All Might observed, his voice tinged with admiration. "Exceptional control of his quirk… Both teams are showing remarkable planning."

As Shiro descended, he thought, 'I'm rushing Todoroki to prevent another large-scale freeze, but I need to be careful. He'll go to extreme lengths to avoid using his flames.'

He tapped his wrist where his tattoo was, summoning a glowing light that floated to his head and solidified into Mahoraga's wheel.

'Shoji's probably noticed my movement by now. I have to be quick.'

Descending to the second floor, Shiro felt a sudden tingle from his Spider-Sense. He paused, glancing around but saw nothing. Unused to the sensation, he dismissed it and continued down, only to be ambushed by Shoji, who was hiding on the lower floor.

Shoji's punch connected, sending Shiro flying back up the stairs and crashing into the ceiling.

"Ugh…" Shiro groaned, the impact rattling his body. 'He's strong… I should've listened to my senses.'

Todoroki and Shoji ascended to the second floor, their footsteps steady and deliberate. Shiro climbed back to his feet, his eyes narrowing as he faced the duo.

'If I can't deal with Shoji quickly, Todoroki will move ahead and take out Ojiro. I can't let that happen,' Shiro thought, his body tense.

Shoji rushed in for another attack, but this time Shiro was ready. He ducked low, using the icy floor to spin and sweep Shoji's legs out from under him. Grabbing Shoji's wrist, Shiro twisted it into a wrist lock.

His Spider-Sense tingled again, but too late to act. Shoji sprouted a mouth from his wrist and bit Shiro's fingers, forcing him to let go.

"Argh!" Shiro hissed, stepping back. 'This won't be easy.'

Shoji returned to his feet, assuming a fighting stance as Todoroki watched intently from the sidelines.

'Todoroki's waiting to see if I'm a threat worth engaging,' Shiro thought. 'I need to show Todoroki that I'm a bigger threat than he expected… Fast.'
