Chapter 312: Number One vs Number One
When everything ended, they were all returned to Endeavor's Hero Agency.
'As expected of the top hero, his office is different.'
Unlike other heroes, who had a modest size of Hero Agency, or some of them might not even have a building, to begin with, Endeavor's Hero Agency was humongous, or rather his building was a skyscraper.
When they arrived, Endeavor didn't talk much and told them to do whatever they wanted to make themselves comfortable, leaving the rest to his sidekicks since he had something more important to do.
Holding the book, which was given by Hawk, Endeavor entered his office.
Yet, Mineta didn't expect that someone could really trigger his system.
"Ah, um, nice to meet you! I-I am Burning! I am your fan!"
The rest was also the same since they were all excited.
"Thank you. Nice to meet you, Burning."
They were talking to each other, ignoring Bakugou and Todoroki.
"Hey, do you think your father will forgive me if I blast all of them?" Bakugou asked.
"...it should be," Todoroki answered after a hesitation.
However, they shared the same feeling since right now, they felt like a side character, an extra, which was extremely annoying!
While they talked, Mineta glanced at Endevor's office and thought that something big was about to happen soon.
Meta Liberation War.
It was an extremely famous book about autobiographical books with strong political content written by Chikara Yotsubashi, also known as the villain Destro. In this work, Destro exposes his idea of fighting against the government's control over Quirks, believing that the free use of these is a basic human right. After completing his writing, Destro committed suicide.
The book has been reprinted several times, although, with the last edition, much of the original text has had to be modified to adapt it to the new times.
Mineta also bought one, yet it made him strange when he thought Hawk would give this book to Endeavor.
Why was he thinking about this so much?
It was because the Meta Liberation Army was also part of Hokusai's pocket.
Last time, when Shigaraki and everyone were challenged by the Meta Liberation Army, they picked this fight, and they fought.
Hokusai might not have participated in this fight because of his situation, but he gave them support by creating a copy of Aizawa.
Aizawa might not be the strongest hero, but without a doubt, he was the most troublesome one. More importantly, as it was painting, it didn't have Aizawa's weakness, which was dry eyes. Even if he opened his eyes all the time, nothing would happen. In the worst case, it would just disappear since it was nothing but a creation.
However, in this fight, its role was huge.
Many of the executives of the Meta Liberation Army couldn't do anything against Aizawa, and it gave the change of the League of Villains the to go massacre all of them.
There was no mercy, and all of them were going for the kill.
It was an intense battle, but in the end, the League of Villains won when Shigaraki was awoken.
Shigaraki had always limited his Quirk. He had always thought it could just affect anything he touched, but it was more dangerous and destructive than he imagined.
The destruction of his Quirk was enough to destroy Denka City, which was until now on the news since many people died, and it had become one of the big tragedies this year except for the Kamina Ward accident.
With the awakening of Shigaraki, the leader of the Meta Liberation Army gave up since he knew that he didn't have a chance to fight. In the end, he pledged his alliance and loyalty to Shigaraki, and the two organizations merged and became The Paranormal Liberation Front.
In the original, there were nine executives with Shigaraki as the leader, but currently, there are ten executives who were, without a doubt, Hokusai.
To be honest, having a follower was a good thing since, as a god, he should step out with every problem.
Why should he?
He should be thinking about the big picture and leaving those on a small scale to his devotees.
As of now, Shigaraki might be the leader, but Mineta knew that once All-For-One returned, everything would be taken, and All-For-One would become the leader.
Still, it didn't matter.
Nothing has mattered since the matter of the Paranormal Liberation Front was under his control, but it was different with Hawk.
What was that guy planning?
Was the government about to react?
The Paranormal Liberation Front would grow sooner or later as long as no one interrupted it, but what if someone interrupted it?
He almost clicked his tongue.
Even if something inside him might change, his goal to become a god had never changed.
He had prepared this from the beginning, ever since he stepped on this path.
Soon, Endeavor walked out of his office, telling them to gather since he was going to instruct all of them. Naturally, this surprised everyone since all of his sidekicks thought that he only thought to instruct Todoroki. Well, Mineta too, but it seemed Bakugou was also included.
However, it had nothing to do with them, and it was the decision of their leader, so they could only follow it.
With everyone gathered in the training room, Endeavor talked with one from Bakugou, Todoroki, and Mineta, asking them what they wanted to achieve in this internship. He didn't know much about them, so he needed to talk with them, so he knew what he should do with them individually.
Starting with Bakugou, who told Endeavor that he wanted to find out what he couldn't do since his goal was clear, which was to become the number one hero. Unlike his childhood, in Yuuei, he had hit many setbacks, and he didn't want to feel those regrets anymore. He glanced at Mineta with a complicated mood and made sure that he wouldn't do something similar.
As for Todoroki, he told his father that he wanted to use Endeavor and that he wanted to become a hero. He wouldn't follow Endeavor's path but find his own path by using him since, even now, it was still impossible for him to forgive his father.
Endeavor was in silence for a moment. "I see..." He nodded, then looked at Mineta with a more solemn attitude. "What about you?" While Todoroki's words made him feel conflicted, he didn't forget his job.
"Do you want to hear my real reason?" Mineta asked.
"Why not?" Endeavor nodded.
"Isn't it because your position as the number one hero is shaky that the Hero Public Safety Commission begged me to come here?"
"........" Everyone.
If Bakugou was rude, Mineta's words were like trying to anger Endeavor.
Still, no one dared to interrupt their conversation since they could feel the easygoing attitude of Mineta had long gone. All that was left was the intensity that made all of them tremble.
"I might refrain myself in front of All-Might, but in front of you, I will be honest since I am afraid that you won't understand my polite remarks before." Mineta didn't care about Endeavor's expression. "I don't know what you can teach me, especially when you could do nothing, but don't make my trip here meaningless here, Endeavor."
Was he angry at being forced to go to Endeavor?
Of course!
After all, he wanted to fuck his women instead of staying in the fucking place.
As for Burning? To be honest, after he ate various exquisite foods, he might long for something that tasted plain or the lower type of food to change to vary his palate.
Endeavor cracked his fists as he stared at Mineta gloomily. After all, did he have a good personality? No. He was being looked down on, and it would be amazing if he could stay calm, yet he also knew how incompetent he was, so at this moment, it was time for a showdown between the two.
"It's good that you are being honest since I know what you do not need to worry about; your internship here won't be meaningless since I will personally teach you."
Mineta only smiled as if asking what you could teach me.
Endeavor also smiled, thinking many things in his head to tortu— he meant to teach him.
"......" Todoroki, Bakugou, and Burning.
They thought that they were really the extras here.
