Chapter 28: Lord Entropy's Commission (Part 3)
'Say what you will, but humans are different from other creatures. We can stand here and talk to you as equals. Other creatures cannot do this.'
'I don't like your arrogance, but considering your excellence, I won't pursue any faults.'
Lord Entropy said:
'First, congratulations, David Lyn. You have vanquished me.'
'The particle accelerator succeeded?'
'Yes, you opened channels at both ends of Earth and created a black hole at the center. Although its mass is not large, it's enough to eliminate my essence from this world. This is a monumental achievement, defeating the Primordial Species, especially the "Lord Entropy," is a rare occurrence.'
'But you seem perfectly fine,' David Lyn teased, 'Perhaps for you, there's no such thing as "extinction?"'
'Primordial Species won't die, but in this world, there are things more terrifying than death, enough to unsettle us.'
'Unsettle?' David Lyn pondered, 'Is there anything more dreadful than being forgotten, apart from death?'
'For us Longevity Breed, love, hatred, sorrow, and joy are meaningless things. Even if you destroy my existence, I won't hate you for it. After all, I am still immortal, while you are about to have your soul return to the Nether Abyss.'
Lord Entropy's words were ruthless, yet David Lyn didn't mind, continuing to listen:
'In this world, death is not the end. Even if one's soul is scattered, they can at least leave behind a vestige. If luck is favorable and not shattered by the flood of the Nether Abyss, one can say the "reincarnation" is completed, living anew.'
'However, there are exceptions. If devoured and becoming part of an enemy, even if consciousness cannot be extinguished, the spirit eternally suffers, becoming an everlasting prison. Or if used as fuel to be burned, leaving no remnants, thoroughly annihilated.'
'Yet what I must say is more frightening than these. Their arrival will utterly destroy everything. Whether it's Starry Abyss or us Longevity Breed, we will be swept into an endless cage, unable to live, unable to die, unable to move, unable to be still. Becoming eternity in a moment, it is a far more dreadful conclusion than decay and destruction.'
'You may not be aware of their existence, but I see in you the potential to oppose them.'
'Are you suggesting that I, a human who destroyed you, should save you?'
David Lyn adjusted his logic, saying:
'Even for a Longevity Breed, isn't this thinking a bit too bold?'
'You will do it because you cannot refuse the conclusion I have prepared for you all.'
'Did you just say… you all?'
'Yes, you all.'
The Ersha rapidly surged forward, slowly presenting a light image:
'In this conclusion, Frost Plated will save the entire Starry Abyss.'
'Go seek this object. I will grant you a chance for life, allowing you to reincarnate in the lower Starry Abyss. As long as you can find this object, you can lead your country, people, and civilization to its most glorious era.'
'Are you willing to accept?'
David Lyn was silent for a moment, staring at the material appearing on the light image and said:
'What are you truly after?'
'I have seen the worst conclusion. Now that I have been destroyed by you, only a portion of my mandate and Ersha organization remains on Azure Star. Soon, I will depart the material realm and head to the entropy world.'
Lord Entropy stated:
'I am after nothing. Do not use mortal thoughts to fathom an immortal Primordial Species—but if I must say, I am indeed yearning for something.'
'What is it?'
'Witnessing.'
Lord Entropy continued:
'I rarely express my intentions. You are the first mortal fortunate enough to garner my attention. I look forward to witnessing the myth that belongs to you unfold.'
'…It seems I have no choice.'
David Lyn mimicked a smoking gesture, lightly flicking nonexistent ash, and said:
'I promise you, Lord Entropy. You may witness the era belonging to Frost Plated.'
'Happy collaboration, Delverine.'
Ersha formed a large hand, gently grasping David Lyn:
'You will become a multitude of beasts, hunting all prey.'
Ersha surrounded and gradually dragged David Lyn into the Abyss, as he turned his head, looking at a corner of the image, reading out the words:
"Primordial Soil."
The next moment, the abyss of Ersha completely engulfed him.

Ether Blood surged and flowed, Li Aozi's body fluctuated, muscles knotted, and blood vessels were momentarily dyed Ether's silver-white. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his eyes were filled with sixteen eerie vertical pupils.
Simultaneously, Li Aozi's body temperature sharply increased. He held his heart, where a built-in furnace roared and exploded. The power of Ether submitted to his command, even the rules of this world were under his control.
"Is this the power of Secrets... unlike the Pathway of training and ascending step-by-step, one can obtain this power which directly intervenes in natural laws, altering the worldview by pledging allegiance to Secrets."
Li Aozi curiously looked at his fingertips: Iron sand extracted from beneath seeped through capillaries, without any pain, the metal acted like his blood, consistently extending his spirit and will outward.
Primitive iron sand entered the furnace from the blood vessels, defying physical laws. In an instant, Li Aozi had refined 200 tons of metal equivalent to Beach Spring quality, swiftly spreading from him. In an instant, it could solidify from molten state, rapidly forming black iron sheets, spreading across at his feet.
