Mercenaries of the Apocalypses [System Apocalypse Progression]

Hello mercs! I think you all deserve an update (and an explination).

Six months ago, I came to the realisation that Mercs had some glaring flaws which needed addressing. Namely, Andy. The original concept for this character was that this guy is EXCITED about apocalypses; he's a geek about them. However, I felt like that never came across in the tone quite right. Andy was too moody for my liking, and much too series 90% of the time.

Furthermore, I have come up with some big additions to his Augmentation, and a LitRPG-lite addition: Andy's 'Apocal-pendix.'

Currently, I am re-writing Mercs Book 1 with a brand new tone, with more levity and voice. I shall upload the re-write of Chapter 1 as a teaser of what's to come. I also have twelve chapters of Book 2 which I will release over the coming week. I am so passionite about this project, however, I was not able to lean on it financially upon release, and did not think it was ready for Amazon. (My biggest flaw: I'm a perfectionist).

And so, I have hunkered down and done my market research, and written an entirely different series: Primordial Unleashed. Book 1 is complete (all 210,000 words). I am releasing it now at a rate of 3 chapters/day. I am betting BIG on this series opening the door for me to make a measly living out of writing so that I can do it sustainable.

I'm going to get real with you, I'm on the edge of broke. I have been writing part/full-time for almost two years now, and am down to my last cup of oats for breakfast. I will always keep writing--success or not--until the day I die. But I may have to divide my time with a job which I have no passion for if things don't work out soon. That's alright, I've accepted that. But you know what, nothing's certain yet. I still have hope.
