Meddling The Omniverse

"That was less… painful than I thought." Kazuma stared in bewilderment. From all the manga and anime he knew, "Wait… Isn't this supposed to hurt like hell?"

"Of course, did you think I'd make you suffer?"

"Honestly? Yes…?"

"I'm not an amateur. I'm skilled enough to make it painless."

Kazuma's face scrunched up in suspicion, yet the finger only added, "Don't worry, you're an amazing asset."

"Asset?!" Kazuma his expression turned worse." What do you mean by that?"

"Now, from those memories—any more questions?"

"Don't change the topic!"

"Okay, here's the short and clear answer for you! I definitely foresaw your great future—by my side." The finger replied.

"Lady Eris! Lady Ristarte! THIS FINGER IS HELLA SUSPICIOUS! This finger doesn't feel like SETH!!!" Kazuma signaled frantically to the two goddesses in the background.

"It does feel weird, but that is truly him." Ristarte laughed dryly.

"You can OBVIOUSLY tell he's TOO DIFFERENT! I HAVE LIVED WITH HIM FAR LONGER THAN ANY OF YOU, AND I DEFINITELY KNOW HE'S A WORKAHOLIC SAMARITAN WHO BARELY HAS ANY FUN! THIS FINGER IS NOT LIKE HIM! INTERROGATE HIM OR SOMETHING!" Kazuma backed himself into a corner, panic rising.

Seth's voice came from the second screen, "Calm down, Kazuma. You know I'm still here."

"SETH! Shouldn't you be suspicious of that weird finger of yours!?"

"That finger is just me that speaks differently. Why? I have a clue, but I'm not sure of its legitimacy yet."

Kazuma massaged his head, feeling his scalp cry from stress. This was just adding more to it.

"Now, from those memories—any more questions?"

"DID YOU JUST COPY AND PASTE!?"

"Don't change the topic, hehe." the finger joked.

Kazuma pressed on the bridge of his nose, You know what? I'll deal with this insanity later. First, handle what's in front of us… He focused on the new information flooding his mind. 

Seth upgraded his realm, isekaied Buggy, turned to mush, meddled with Orochimaru and Yajima, amputated his finger, met Ristarte for the first time, chose Seiya as his hero, isekaid Zenitsu, then finally now.

Kazuma shook his head, "Holy… You uploaded everything. Too much actually."

"The too-much-information dilemma." The finger added.

"It's called information overload." Seth on the screen corrected.

Are they really the same person?

"We are," Both read his mind and answered simultaneously.

Finally, he got something shocking, "BUGGY?!! OROCHIMARU?! AND ZENITSU!?"

Seth immediately squinted, "Do you know them?"

"Seth, they are some of the most famous characters in anime, as an enjoyer, I DEFINITELY know!"

"Interesting…"

"Don't tell me you do not know?" Kazuma questioned.

"Kazuma, let me remind you that the multiverse has infinite variants of said manga and animes, meaning that the fact the animes in your world have matched these real people right here and right now, is really just a miracle." Seth on the screen said first.

"It is a lottery of grand proportions!" The finger concluded.

"And as a reminder, I heavily remind you that all those people are real. Don't view these as characters coming to life, but view them as if the story of said world existed in your old world as a fiction or tale."

"Oh… uh… hehe… Sure, Seth." Kazuma wondered "Why are you saying it like that Seth?".

"It is so you don't treat them trivially like characters from your beloved anime, they are living and breathing people that could die."

Kazuma felt slightly cold from that statement, but with this weight, his curiosity peaked, "Wait… Can I contact them? Or even be in the same room with them."

"Just get to the point," The finger demanded, he already sensed Kazuma's roundabout motive.

Kazuma took a deep breath, he couldn't just say he wanted to meet the waifus of those worlds, he had to make a convincing reason.

"I want to learn their power system," he stated matter of factly

Both Seth and his finger fell silent, They both called out, "Jif! Get us the multiversal rule book. Oh, and don't forget the contract." Their voices were synchronized.

"Which one?"

"The one with the code 'P' on it." The finger said.

"AH! That one! Got it, Sir!" A cute skittering sound was heard off-screen

Kazuma couldn't help but wonder who Jif was, the finger had mentioned him previously, but Kazuma had never taken this to mind, until now.

Seconds later, his curiosity was answered. A small, fluffy creature floated over to the finger's side, looking like one of the cuddliest critters he had ever seen.

"Seth, is that Jif?" Kazuma asked, realizing there was no mention of a Jif in his newly acquired memories.

"Yup." The finger confirmed. 

Kazuma raised an eyebrow, and the finger continued. "Think of me as a CEO now. Didn't you see how I built my empire?"

Kazuma clutched his head, and indeed, he noticed the world or city-building aspects from said memory. However, due to this, jealousy started to boil inside him.

Hold up! (There's a pause) While I… suffer through the shenanigans of that braindead goddess gotten on my bollocks… Seth's living the dream boss life, becoming the top dog without lifting a finger! He has hundreds of employees and two hot babes always at his beck and call!

He cracked his knuckles in rage. I feel like I'm the nanny of Aqua, his abandoned concubine…

Then it clicked. Dang it! I really am THAT NANNY! The realization hit him like a truck.

As Seth and his finger scanned through the rules, they casually remarked, "I get it, Kazuma. Aqua's been making your life miserable for a while, and since I'm partially responsible for this mess, you're gonna want to beg me for help." the finger added rudely.

Kazuma flinched at the insinuation, but they paid him no mind. "Don't worry, Kazuma. You're a good guy, and Aqua's a tough cookie. I'll send you more books to help you make money." Seth assured Kazuma, 

"And maybe some extra stuff for your convenience and sanity." The finger added matter-of-factly.

Bruh, I know my life's quite shit but do you have to say it like that? Kazuma felt both thankful and offended by their words. 

A clap was heard from the books, and Seth has found his verdict. "After a thorough check with this rule book, learning the power system of other world is fortunately NOT forbidden."

"YESH!" Kazuma pumped his fist in happiness.

"But due to the contract and grand intertwining future plan that has been set, you cannot interact with them for the time being. So too bad, no cool power for you at the present." Kazuma felt a bit disappointed by that notion, but he was still quite happy with it.

Both have specifically mentioned 'for the time being' and 'the present', meaning he is guaranteed to be able to learn the cool ninjutsu, multifunctional Haki, and so many more, it's just that he couldn't get them now.

With this answer, it was Seth's turn to ask questions. "Now that I think about it, where's love?"

The finger enthusiastically responded, "Oh yes! WIFEY!"

"Wait you're stuck with Wifey?" Seth on the screen questioned his finger with intrigue.

"Yes, I am!" The finger spoke proudly.

Kazuma widened his eyes, "Oh my…just like Aqua… Her version was 'hubby'."

"Really!?" both synced like twins, revealing that their forced feelings were deeper than the other's expected.

Suddenly, the finger bonked itself against the jar it was in. "Bah! Back to the point! Where's wifey!?"

Kazuma nervously explained, "Actually… Aqua was with me when you called, but because of it she went haywire and ran to the city in delirium." 

Seth and his finger nodded, urging him to continue.

Kazuma scratched his cheeks, "As for why… I think she found it unacceptable that the gang was not with us when you called, so she ran out just to gather them up. Since she's gone, I took the chance to call you now, Seth."

"Because you want to rant all your toxic s*** at me?" referencing that super long rant previously.

"Yes–Hey!!!" Kazuma blurted out. 

Suddenly he remembered something significant, "Guys, we have a problem. We never revealed to the others that you're gods and goddesses. Aqua's been preaching her godhood for weeks, but fortunately (or not) no one believed her. Now are you sure you want to meet them again like that?" He pointed at the finger.

Seth and his finger caught on the matter. "I see, they still believe I am human, if I show myself like this…" Seth on the screen pointed at his living finger, "It would turn their view upside down. Right, Kazuma?" 

"Sort of." Kazuma scratched his head.

Both finger and screen look at each other. "No, we don't want Love/Wifey to see us like this." they synched again.

"You know what this means…"

"Sure buddy." Seth snapped his finger, and an illusion manifested on the finger.

The finger transformed into a second Seth with a hoodie that distorted his face–making him more menacing and mysterious.

The second Seth put his left leg on top of his right, giving a playful but aggressive attitude. With this pose, the second Seth informed them of what he planned to do.

"Seth! May I see this one out!" Eris getting the clue showed panic

"Why? All I said is to leave them in the dark for now, letting them believe we're not gods."

Eris blushed but still said her point. "Because you know… It's quite likely that Darkness is coming, and she will recognize me as 'Chris', you know…" her cheeks reddened more, "she's a devoted believer of my religion, so it will be awkward if… you know… and I kind of don't want to… you know…" She was fidgeting in embarrassment.

"Is it really that of a big deal?" Second Seth asked.

The first Seth on the screen chided, "Not recommended. It will cause a huge misunderstanding for everyone, especially love… She'll believe that we went on a weird honeymoon with Chris."

"You sure?"

"Chris the thief has been missing ever since we left the city to cure our curse. Stupid rumors would arise if they knew Chris has been with us from the beginning."

The second Seth held his chin with his arm, "Those silly rumors intrigue me, but also could screw me more in the long run. So yes, Eris, you can go hide… over there next to Jif." Without a second to waste Eris strutted to Jif's place.

Ristarte on the sideline was still reading the note of Seth's fake biography on Kazuma's isekai world, after reading most of it, she asked, "Is it fine for me to still be here?"

"Totally fine, I assume" First Seth spoke.

"You'll just make things more fun and chaotic, but not troublesome" Second Seth smirked deviously.

"Just don't reveal that we are gods." First Seth added.

"Wait! If I can't introduce myself as the Goddess of Healing, Then what should I–" A solid thud was heard.

"HUBBY!!!" Aqua's desperate cry echoed through the room. 

The moment he heard that voice… something deep inside him snapped. 

Seth's starry eyes swirled in madness. Yet before more could happen…

BWAACK!!! 

Seth was snapped out of his stupor. everyone watched in stunned silence as the blue-haired goddess leaped at Seth out of desperation. 

Unfortunately, since the Seth before her was just a projection, she phased through it and stamped her face to the wall behind it. 

After that painful crash, she slid to the floor in a mess, planting her face on the floor with her butt up in the sky.

Finally, still on the floor, she picked herself up, allowing Seth to see her as a whole.

Aqua, the less intellectual woman he had spent a month together with, was on the floor, disheveled and breathless.

Tears streamed down her face, and Seth's heart clenched at the sight. Despite her state of a mess, he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked, even in her idiotic sorrow.

instantly, the two screens connecting the two places shattered to pieces, only to reform back to a tangible, humanoid form.

Before Aqua's eyes, that single screen has coalesced into a perfect replica of Seth, and just as on Seth's side, a mirror replica of Aqua materialized. 

Seth in silence walked closer, kneeled on one leg, and offered his hand to her. 

"!?!" 

Seth was stunned, Aqua embraced the replicated avatar as though it was the real him.

Seth felt the tactile feedback from the embrace and became flabbergasted. Not because she held him tightly in her arms, but because a certain emotion blossomed inside him.

Eventually, still with a face that couldn't accept it, he hugged her back.
