MCU Spider-Woman: The Wandering Way Home

Chapter 9: New Time based Ability

Chapter 10: New Time based Ability*

Peter kept thinking about the events at Kamar-Taj. His memories of his energy moving on its own and touching the Time Stone haunted him. He felt there was something deeper and more complex behind this mysterious energy.

Every time he recalled the incident, his heart was filled with deep curiosity. The energy felt incredibly strong and mysterious, as if it held secrets yet to be uncovered.

At night, when Peter lay in his room, his mind kept racing. "What really happened? What's the meaning of the energy tendrils? How does it relate to the Time Stone?" These questions always popped into his mind.

Peter felt disturbed and couldn't sleep well. He knew that to find the answers, he had to understand this energy and how it worked. The events at Kamar-Taj kept haunting his thoughts, making him more obsessed with uncovering the truth.

The next morning, Peter woke up feeling exhausted. At school, his mind drifted, thinking about the events at Kamar-Taj. Even while listening to the teacher, he found it hard to focus. His friends tried to talk to him, but Peter only responded with nods or brief smiles.

The day felt incredibly long for him. After school, Peter went straight to his room to reflect more deeply. He felt that the answers to his questions were within reach, but still hard to grasp.

After several days of contemplation and searching for clues in various books and notes he had, an idea struck him. Could the Infinity Stones have a specific influence on his mysterious energy? Did the energy want to absorb the power of the Time Stone or simply analyze its concept?

This thought made Peter even more curious. "Maybe," he thought, "the Time Stone provided clues about the concept of time." He felt that this concept could be the key to understanding the energy.

That night, after dinner with May, Peter returned to his room. He opened the window, letting the night breeze in, hoping it would calm his mind. His thoughts returned to the idea of the Infinity Stones.

With renewed excitement, he decided to test his theory. The next day, Peter approached Master Wong with a request that might sound strange, but he knew it was a necessary step to understand the energy more deeply.

In the training room at Kamar-Taj, Peter stood in front of Wong. "Master Wong, I have a theory about this mysterious energy," Peter said enthusiastically, explaining his thoughts to Wong with excitement. "Maybe the Time Stone provided clues about the concept of time to my energy. Can I try a spell from the Book of Cagliostro?"

Wong gave Peter a sharp look. He could see the strong determination in Peter, but he also sensed a great risk behind the request.

Wong let out a long sigh before answering. "Peter, just like before, this theory is still immature. Besides, attempting spells from the Book of Cagliostro can be dangerous. Those spells are not just about time; they're also tied to Dormammu's dimension."

Hearing Wong's explanation, Peter felt a bit intimidated, but he remained resolute. "I understand, Master Wong. But I believe this is a step I need to take to understand this energy."

After a moment of contemplation, Wong finally relented. "Alright, Peter. But you must be extremely careful. We'll try this spell under my strict supervision." Peter felt relieved and excited at the same time.

However, unlike what he had hoped, despite numerous attempts, he couldn't perform the spell from the Book of Cagliostro. Every time he tried, he felt something blocking him. The spells seemed too complex and tied to Dormammu's dimension.

Almost in despair, Peter felt frustrated. "Why isn't this working?" he muttered. He sat in the corner of the room, trying to reflect again. "What am I missing?"

With a sense of desperation, Peter tried to feel his energy once more. He closed his eyes and focused intently, feeling the flow of energy within his body.

He regulated his breathing, trying to calm himself. After a few moments, he imagined a time-based ability, visualizing how he could manipulate his speed.

First, Peter felt his heart pounding faster, as if the energy was affecting his blood flow. "Is this just my imagination, or is the energy actually starting to work?" he thought. He focused on this sensation, trying to understand what was happening.

Next, Peter felt his muscles tense and relax alternately. The sensation was so intense and quick, as if his body was preparing to move at incredible speed. "My muscles seem to be responding to the energy," he murmured inwardly. He recalled the exercises he had done with Wong, trying to delve deeper into his self-control.

Then, Peter felt a change in his wrist. He clenched his eyes tighter, trying to feel every tiny movement happening. His hand felt like it was vibrating subtly but very rapidly, almost like the flutter of a bee's wings. "Is this a sign that the energy is spreading throughout my body?" he thought. Gradually, the vibrations spread to his arms and shoulders, giving the same sensation.

The next phase was when Peter felt his legs start moving quickly. It felt as if his legs were swinging at an unusual speed. The sensation was so strong that he had to open his eyes to see what was actually happening. However, when he looked at his legs, the movements seemed normal. "Why does it feel different from what it looks like?" Peter wondered. He realized that the change was happening at the energy level within his body.

At its peak, Peter felt his entire body enveloped in energy, making him feel incredibly light. It felt as though his body weight had decreased, allowing each of his movements to become more efficient. "Is this what it means to move too fast?" he pondered. In an instant, he decided to test his theory.

Peter stood up and got into a ready position to run. He focused his mind on the desire to move quickly, imagining himself running at incredible speed. Instantly, his body moved at a speed he had never experienced before, though Peter didn't fully realize it.

He started running around the room, and surprisingly, all the objects around him seemed to move incredibly slowly. The clock on the wall, books on the shelf, and even dust floating in the air seemed trapped in slow motion.

Peter felt as if time had stopped, while he could move freely. Every step he took felt like gliding through the air, and he saw everything in amazing detail. "Did I just slow down time?" he wondered. Everything around him seemed so slow, as if the world was moving in slow motion while he dashed at an unimaginable speed.

After finishing his run, Peter paused to reflect on what had just happened. "Was that real? Did I really slow down time?" he thought. He felt his breath quicken, and his body was slightly fatigued, as if he had indeed used a tremendous amount of energy.

However, the more he thought about it, the more he realized that what actually happened was that he himself moved at an extraordinary speed, not the world around him slowing down.

Peter pondered again the sensations he felt while running. He realized that the mysterious energy within him allowed him to speed up his own time. When he moved at high speed, his perception of the world seemed to slow down.

"So, it's not time that's slowing down, but I'm speeding myself up," he murmured. This thought made him even more curious and eager to understand his ability further.

He recognized that this ability had great potential. By speeding up his own time, he could move more efficiently and avoid danger more easily. Peter felt that this ability would be incredibly useful in protecting those he cared about.

However, he also realized that this ability required very high control. He had to ensure that every movement was well-controlled and didn't endanger himself or others.

As quickly as they came, they vanished just as fast. A tremendous pressure suddenly pulled him out of that state, as if his body was being gripped by an overwhelming force. Peter felt a very painful sensation, like thousands of needles piercing from within his body. His breath came in gasps, and his chest felt tight. "What's happening?" he thought, panic rising.

Peter fell to his knees, feeling his body unable to withstand the immense pressure. It felt as though he was being torn apart from the inside, as if something was trying to break free from within him. Cold sweat poured down his face, and he felt incredibly weak. The muscles that had been tense and strong now felt weak and trembling. "It seems I've reached the limits of my ability," he muttered hoarsely.

Peter tried to stand, but the excruciating pain made it difficult to move. Each joint and muscle in his body felt like it was on fire. Every attempt to move intensified the pain. Peter realized that he might have pushed his energy beyond its natural limits. "Is this what happens when I push myself too hard?" he thought, gritting his teeth against the pain.

Despite the agony, Peter was determined to train his abilities further and understand his limits. He knew that mastering this ability required wisdom and caution. This painful experience served as a valuable lesson. He understood that every power had its limits, and it was crucial for him to comprehend and respect those boundaries.

With a strong resolve, Peter slowly rose. His breath was still labored, but he felt more prepared to face the challenges ahead. "I must be more careful," he thought. "I have to control my energy better and ensure I don't exceed my limits."

Each step forward brought him closer to a deeper understanding of this mysterious energy and how to control it effectively. Peter knew the journey ahead was long, but this bitter experience had given him new insights into the importance of self-control and boundaries.

Peter realized he had created something unique. Without delay, he reported his discovery to Wong. Wong looked a bit surprised upon hearing Peter's explanation, his eyes carefully observing Peter's every movement and expression. "This is very intriguing, Peter," Wong said. "This is a significant step in our understanding of this mysterious energy. However, we must ensure that we thoroughly understand the fundamentals of this ability and its implications."

---

The following days were filled with intense training with Wong. They tested Peter's energy reactions when the spell was active, trying to understand how it worked and its limits. Each training session was filled with focus and hard work. Peter realized that this spell required very high mental focus and energy control. Wong supervised every movement, providing constructive feedback to ensure Peter understood every essential detail in using the spell.

Wong trained Peter to delve deeper into the concept of this new spell and the reactions of his energy when it was active. They spent hours each day, with hundreds of trials, making Peter realize that the spell didn't require hand movements or incantations. Simply by channeling the energy within him to envelop his entire body and thinking about becoming fast, the spell or skill could activate.

Peter began to realize that the activation speed was almost instantaneous, and the duration of its use was always the same, four seconds with speed increasing fourfold. In his perception, these four seconds felt like 16 seconds, as if time slowed down for him. He felt he could observe everything around him more clearly and in more detail, while he moved at extraordinary speed.

This experience was so mesmerizing and strange for Peter. In those four seconds, he could feel his heartbeat slow down, as if each beat became longer. He could see small details that usually went unnoticed, like the gentle movement of leaves in the wind or the tiniest movements of objects around him.

Peter reflected on what he had learned. He understood that his new ability required great precision and control. "I must ensure that every thought and movement is well-focused," Peter thought. "If I lose focus, this ability could become unstable."

The training was not just about mastering the spell, but also understanding how his energy interacted with his body at a deeper level. Peter felt how his body changed when the spell was activated, observing every small change in sensation and physical reaction.

Wong continued to provide valuable guidance and knowledge throughout the training. He explained how mystic principles could be applied to enhance the effectiveness of Peter's ability. "Understanding balance and harmony is key in the mystic arts," Wong explained. "You must learn to align the energy within you with the goal you wish to achieve."

Wong added, "The activation speed is almost instantaneous, and the usage duration is always the same. However, you must be careful. Using this energy for extended periods can put a significant strain on your body." Peter realized the importance of understanding his body's limits.

He kept training himself, trying various spells or skills by focusing his thoughts. However, he often felt disappointed because no other spell worked as effectively as this one. That week was spent testing his new spell and getting accustomed to its speed.

Even though he couldn't create any new spells, Peter felt pleased with his progress. He started to understand more about how this energy worked and how he could control it.

During his training, Peter reflected a lot on his life's journey. He thought about how he had always tried to protect those he loved, despite his limitations. This mysterious energy might be his chance to become stronger and more effective in protecting them.

He began analyzing the events at Kamar-Taj and how the Time Stone seemed to influence his energy. He realized that his new ability to manipulate speed might have come from his contact with the Time Stone.

In his mind, Peter began to weave new possibilities. "If the Time Stone gave me access to the concept of time within my energy, then each Infinity Stone must have properties that my energy could mimic," he thought. This idea made Peter even more curious and excited.

He started to consider the potential of each Infinity Stone. "If I can manipulate speed because of the Time Stone, could I teleport if I gain properties from the Space Stone?" he murmured. Even though he could already create portals, he thought that a bit of additional teleportation ability might be very helpful.

Peter decided that if he had the chance in the future, he would approach the other Infinity Stones to see what else his energy could do. He felt that this was an opportunity to develop new spells that utilized the properties of all the Infinity Stones.

In his reflections, he imagined the various abilities he could have if he managed to mimic the properties of the Infinity Stones. The ability to control reality, soul, mind, and physical power could be an incredible force in protecting those he loved.

However, in the midst of his musings, Wong, who understood Peter's thoughts, immediately scolded him. "Peter, I can see what you're thinking. Don't even think about doing something reckless with your knowledge of the future to seek out those Stones," Wong said firmly. "This is not a game, and any careless actions could have fatal consequences."

Peter was startled by Wong's reprimand. He realized that his intentions might be too dangerous and unwise. Wong continued, "If you try to do that, I will punish you severely. Considering what we've learned so far, pursuing other Infinity Stones is a highly risky move."

Peter reflected again after hearing Wong's warning. He knew Wong was right. Although the idea of using the properties of the Infinity Stones to develop new abilities was tempting, he needed to be more prudent and cautious. "I must focus on what I already have and fully understand this energy," he thought. He promised himself not to rush and to take more measured steps on his journey.

With this mindset, Peter continued his training with greater diligence. He understood that the journey ahead was long, but he felt more prepared to face the challenges. Every day, he trained to harness his mysterious energy with full concentration, strengthening his bond with it and enhancing its effectiveness.

Wong kept providing support and advice, ensuring that Peter stayed on the right path. They both knew this journey wouldn't be easy, but with hard work and perseverance, they hoped to achieve their desired goals.

---

That night, Peter, still amazed by his new ability, had to join them for dinner. As usual, May cooked for George, and the four of them sat down to enjoy the evening meal together. This dinner felt more special than usual because they were celebrating the end of the school year and the upcoming summer vacation in a few days.

The table was filled with the delicious aroma of the dishes May had prepared. A warm and cozy atmosphere enveloped the dining area. Peter felt the familial warmth he always longed for. Despite his mind being filled with questions about his abilities, he tried to focus on the company of the people he loved.

Gwen, who sat next to him, occasionally smiled at him, offering unspoken support. Peter felt grateful to have family and friends who always supported him, even though they didn't know what he was actually going through.

In the midst of the evening's conversation, George began to complain about the new vigilante, Ghost-Spider.

"This vigilante is really interfering with police work," George said irritably. "Even though she's helping to catch criminals, she's still breaking the law."

May responded with a different perspective. "I think Ghost-Spider is brave and her actions should be praised. She's taking risks to protect others."

Gwen, still a bit uncomfortable with her father's complaints, could only blush at May's words. Peter, knowing Gwen's secret as Ghost-Spider, decided to tease Gwen indirectly. "I agree with May. Ghost-Spider is cool. Maybe we need more people like her," Peter said, smiling at Gwen.

Despite George's ongoing complaints, May continued to maintain a good mood that evening, trying to enjoy the night together. Peter could see how hard Gwen was trying to hide her feelings, but he also knew that May and his support meant a lot to her.

May actually didn't want to bring this up, but her concern led her to finally ask, "Peter, you've been spending a lot of time outside lately. What exactly are you doing out there?"

Peter was momentarily taken aback, then searched for a plausible excuse to cover his activities at Kamar-Taj. "I'm trying something new, May. I'm interested in researching Ghost-Spider's activities and trying to create a comic based on that hero theme," Peter replied enthusiastically.

May frowned, still looking worried. "Researching Ghost-Spider's activities? What do you mean? And why do you need to be out so often for that?"

Peter sighed, trying to appear convincing. "I go to places where Ghost-Spider has been active, gathering information and data about what happened there. With all that data, I'm creating a comic about a hero inspired by Ghost-Spider. I think it will be an interesting story and can provide a positive message about heroism."

May nodded slowly, though the worry still showed on her face. "I'm glad you have a creative hobby, Peter. But don't forget to maintain a balance between school and other activities. You must make sure your grades stay good."

George nodded in agreement with May's words. "Your aunt is right, Peter. School should remain your top priority. How have your grades been lately?" he asked with a firm but caring tone.

Peter nodded slowly, trying to reassure them. "Don't worry, everything's fine. I'm still keeping my grades up," Peter said, showing his latest test results that showed good grades. It was remarkable to maintain good grades while his focus was on his mysterious energy training at Kamar-Taj.

Gwen, sitting next to Peter, could feel the tension in the air. She decided to help shift the focus to a lighter topic. "By the way, I'm really looking forward to this summer vacation. Do you guys have any plans for the holidays?" she said with a big smile, trying to lighten the mood.

May smiled, pleased to see Gwen trying to cheer everyone up. "I want to try some new recipes, and maybe we can go to the beach someday."

Peter chuckled softly, feeling slightly relieved by the change in topic. "That sounds fun. I'd like to take a break and enjoy some time with you all."

George, listening to their conversation, also smiled. "Yes, we should enjoy this vacation."

Their conversation continued with light topics and laughter filling the room. May talked about new recipes she wanted to try, while George shared funny stories about his colleagues at the police station. Gwen and Peter occasionally exchanged glances, sharing meaningful smiles. Despite the initial tension, the evening ended with a warm sense of togetherness.

As the night grew late, they all got up from the dining table feeling satisfied. May cleared the dishes, while George helped clean up the table. Gwen and Peter sat on the sofa, still enjoying the rest of the evening with light conversation.
