Chapter 370: Rules for a Trio (Part 2)
Chen Cheng smiled, "Sounds like you know them well."
"I just observe closely," Wen Shulin replied, "Besides, I'm also a woman, there are some things I understand better than you."
Chen Cheng took a deep breath, "Last night was just the atmosphere, it won't happen again."
"You're great at everything, just sometimes too bold," Wen Shulin complained, "You didn't even consider what if Xiao Er really found out, what would you do?"
Chen Cheng's grip on the steering wheel tightened, but he said nothing.
Wen Shulin's tone softened, "Be careful in the future, don't make such mistakes again."
Wen Shulin sighed, "Actually, I also bear some responsibility. I shouldn't have let Xiao Er drink so much, let her sleep so soundly."
Chen Cheng smiled, "Are you blaming yourself?"
"Sort of," Wen Shulin said, "I always feel like I've done something wrong."
Chen Cheng held Wen Shulin's hand, "You didn't do anything wrong."
"I know. But I always feel like I've neglected something."
Wen Shulin looked out the car window, "I know the Xia family's sisters unlocked an extraordinary experience for you, if you find the usual way boring..."
Chen Cheng interrupted her, "Actually, last night, I felt quite awkward too."
"Not satisfied?"
"What do you think?" Chen Cheng retorted, "Both of them were so cautious, afraid of making any noise, it made me quite nervous."
Wen Shulin chuckled, "Nervous? I thought you were enjoying yourself."
"Don't you already know what kind of person I am?"
Wen Shulin stopped smiling, looking at him seriously, "So, what are you going to do about it?"
"Take it one step at a time," Chen Cheng replied.
"You should explain it clearly to them," Wen Shulin said slowly, "I played the bad cop, now it's your turn to play the good cop."
"Sometimes I really wish I could marry you," Chen Cheng sighed.
Wen Shulin snorted, "Don't say things like that. If you really married me, I wouldn't have this attitude."
"Oh, so how would you be?"
Wen Shulin leaned in, whispering in Chen Cheng's ear, "You'd have no chance to fool around outside."
"Then it's just you, you'd have a lot to put up with," Chen Cheng laughed, wrapping his arm around Wen Shulin's neck.
"Don't fool around, I'm driving!"
The car drove onto Bin Hai Avenue, and Chen Cheng unlocked a new experience apart from the Lamborghini.
...
...
Chen Cheng drove the car into the club's parking lot, just parked, and saw a middle-aged man in a white polo shirt quickly walking over.
"Chairman Wen." The middle-aged man greeted with a smile.
"Mr. Wang." Wen Shulin got out of the car, "Sorry to have you come so early."
"Not at all, it's an honor for us to have Chairman Wen visit our club." Mr. Wang smiled, leading the way, "Everything is ready, please follow me."
The two followed his steps into the club.
They first arrived at the cigar room, the room was filled with a faint smell of cigars.
As soon as they sat down, a waiter brought over samples, and Mr. Wang introduced:
"Chairman Wen, these are all top cigars our club has collected, from Cuba, Dominica, and other parts of the world, see if there's any you like."
Wen Shulin's long nails slid over the cigars on the tray, finally stopping, asking Chen Cheng, "How about trying a COHIBA Siglo VI today?"
"It's up to you." Chen Cheng smiled, "I'm not picky."
Wen Shulin picked up another slightly thinner cigar, "How about this one? Montecristo Edmundo, it's milder in taste."
"Either is fine, whatever you like."
Wen Shulin told Mr. Wang, "Put these two down for order, two boxes, and deliver them to the boat later. Also, get me two boxes each of Cohiba Behike 52 and 56 to take back."
"Alright, Chairman Wen."
"Let's go, let's check out the wine."
The two then went to the wine cellar, Wen Shulin walked to a wine rack, carefully looking at the labels. She occasionally picked up a bottle of red wine, observing the color and clarity under the light.
"How about this bottle of Lafite?"
Chen Cheng furrowed his brow slightly, not because he was reluctant to buy, but unclear about why Wen Shulin was going to such lengths, "Can they even drink that?"
Wen Shulin smiled, "How about this 1996 Margaux? Its taste is softer, better for pairing with seafood."
"Take what you like."
"We also need champagne," Wen Shulin continued, "Mr. Wang, pick six Krug."
"Alright, Chairman Wen."
Cigars and wine were all chosen, yet Chen Cheng only had more doubts.
Chen Cheng asked, "All these cigars and wines and champagnes, making it so grand."
"It's not just us getting on the boat," Wen Shulin didn't hide, saying, "Later you better give me enough face."
"Who?"
"You'll know when we get there."
The two got back in the car, and soon, the car arrived at the dock.
Xiao Meier and the others hadn't arrived yet, only an Alphard was parked in front of Chen Cheng's car.
She led Chen Cheng over, and the people in the Alphard got out too.
"Chairman Wen, long time no see."
"Hello, Chairman Jiang." Wen Shulin gave a slight smile, she introduced, "Mr. Chen, this is Jiang Wenlong from Shanghai's CGG."
"Chairman Jiang, this is..."
Before she could finish, Jiang Wenlong reached out to Chen Cheng, "Dili Private Equity, Chairman Chen, right? I've heard a lot about you."
Chen Cheng shook that hand back. Although he didn't know, he still said, "I've heard a lot about you too."
"Chairman Jiang, did you arrive last night?" Wen Shulin exchanged pleasantries.
"Yes, Chairman Wen arranged everything perfectly," Jiang Wenlong smiled, "The moment I got off the plane, I felt at home."
"Hey, my HCG turned out to be part of CGG! It's not our first time meeting, no need to be so polite!"
"It's not that I'm being polite to Chairman Wen, otherwise, could last night's villa party have been so enjoyable?"
"Hahaha..."
As they laughed and chatted, another Alphard pulled up.
After getting off, a tall girl quickly came over, "Sister Lin, the people have arrived."
Wen Shulin nodded slightly, Chen Cheng followed her gaze and saw four girls getting off the Alphard.
Each was wearing a sun-protective shirt and sunglasses, with quite good figures.
"Chairman Jiang, are you satisfied? If not, I'll have Xiao Liu switch them out."
Jiang Wenlong gave them a quick glance, "Not the same group as last night, right?"
"Definitely not."
"Then it's fine."
Wen Shulin told Xiao Liu, "Let them board the boat, prepare first."
She pointed to the Ferretti 960 at the dock, then said to Jiang Wenlong, "Chairman Jiang, you head up for some drinks first, we're waiting for a few friends, and will come shortly after."
"Alright," Jiang Wenlong nodded, looking at Chen Cheng, "See you later, Chairman Chen."
"See you later."
After the people left, Chen Cheng got even more puzzled, about to ask, Xiao Meier and the others arrived too.
"Xiao Cheng! Sister Lin!"
Wen Shulin waved, and Li Ya led them over.
"Xiao Er, you guys go aboard that ship first,"
Wen Shulin pointed to another Azimut 78 and said, "I've had champagne sent up, and there's food too."
"Go up and have fun for a bit, Mr. Chen and I have something to attend to, we'll join you shortly." she said.
The group looked in the direction she pointed, but their initial excitement was somewhat dampened by Wen Shulin's words.
"Ah? Aren't you coming aboard?"
Wen Shulin smiled, "Mr. Chen and I are going up on the Ferretti to discuss some business, once done, we'll join you."
Shaw Meier glanced at the other side of the dock, indeed, she saw there were people on that boat too.
"Okay, hurry up then!" Li Ya didn't think too much, at the moment she only wanted to get on the deck and sunbathe.
"Sure, won't take long."
The group split into two, boarding the two boats.
The Ferretti 960 and Azimut 78 slowly departed the dock, heading in two different directions one after the other.
Chen Cheng asked while following behind Wen Shulin aboard the boat, "What act are you pulling this time?"
Wen Shulin turned back and smiled, "Your Dili can't just be an empty shell, right?"
