Chapter 112 Black Sky Demon God Qi (5k)_3

"Let's go, we'll first catch a Black Sky Devil."

Earlier, in the Sorrow Cave Heaven, among those shadowy Evil Devils that blotted out the sky and the sun, nearly all of them were Devils. They mostly appeared as various demons completely turning Devilic.

In the Cultivators' plans, these Devils were considered low-rank and weren't even classified as Devils; they were merely treated as Evil.

In Lou Huai's teachings, Devils held a low status, basically serving as cannon fodder. They were only counted as Devils because they were the most numerous, more than all other Devils combined, and were among the few that possessed physical bodies.

Having large numbers would naturally give rise to a few top-tier Devils.

According to the Devils' classification, Devils referred to these top-tier beings, while others were considered mere cannon fodder, not true Devils.

However, Yu Ziqing did not underestimate these Devils. Initially, with a lower start, there was more room for improvement.

It was like the human race. With the largest numbers, the weak enough to be weak—the weakest being infants that could not even support themselves—but the strongest would be considered the pinnacle.

In some ways, Devils were quite similar to the human race.

The Black Sky Devil, a name that sounded formidable, was actually a general term for a type of Devil, from those that Yu Ziqing could crush a cartful of with one hand, to those that could crush a cartful of Yu Ziqing with one hand—whatever you wanted, it was there.

And where were these goods most abundant?

The Abyssal Rift.

There, when the hungry ghosts weren't occupying it, Dali's West Desolate Army often engaged in battles with the Devils.

Since the hungry ghosts occupied and took over the Rift, after going deeper into the Abyssal Rift, nothing else but the hungry ghosts could be seen.

They all stayed far away. Those Devils didn't want to mess with the unreasonable, tear-you-apart-on-sight, and overwhelmingly numerous Mad Hungry Ghosts.

When they arrived near the Abyssal Rift, Yu Ziqing took a glance downwards and remembered how No. 4 had been to the Abyss before.

Inexplicably, he felt quite similar to No. 4, always running around...

He shook his head to dispel such terrifying thoughts, leapt down, and jumped into the Abyss.

As he fell, reaching a certain stage, Yu Ziqing felt his speed slow down more and more, and descending became increasingly difficult.

He flew down actively, and when he saw light emerging below, he dashed out, only to find the outside barren, the sky dim with no sun in sight.

He realized he hadn't dived down, but had surged up through a massive crack in the ground.

Surrounding cliffs teemed with countless hungry ghosts. The entire rift was overrun by those ghosts.

Upon bursting out, within the limits of his vision, not a single Devil could be seen.

Following that, a gaunt hungry ghost hurried over from afar and performed a grand gesture.

"Seen you, sir, not knowing of your esteemed visit. What orders might you have?"

"Where's the nearest Devil gathering place? Preferably somewhere with water."

"Just head north. Those Devils that like water fled there before; I heard there's a large river there," the hungry ghost quickly replied.

No one knew where this guy heard that from...

"What's your name?"

"Sir, my name is Wang Fugui. Last time I made a deal with someone for a sweet rain, it was me who sent a message to Miss Cece."

Yu Ziqing nodded. So he was that Deceitful Ghost.

Pretty nice, the name fits. Remembering his own name, he was already quite something among hungry ghosts.

He made a mental note to consider later whether to take him along or let him stay.

Heading north, Yu Ziqing restrained his power, only bringing Lou Huai without Cece.

He could turn Devilic himself, and Lou Huai, not pretending, was a natural Devil. Their going was less conspicuous.

Soon, they heard deafening rumbling from ahead, and amidst the desolation, a little moisture appeared.

Yet the moisture carried a chilling aggressiveness, unlike the rivers outside.

Crossing a hill, a murky yellow river surged relentlessly ahead, with waves tossing despite the relatively flat terrain and no major bends. The river couldn't calm down, constantly venting its Fire Qi.

In the distance, some water Devils were seen entering and exiting the river, and others resting on the banks.

Some were fighting, some cursing, while others lay still from a distance. Even seeing scattered limbs, there was no reaction.

Yu Ziqing glanced at Lou Huai.

"Which Black Sky Devil has purer power? It's up to you now."

Lou Huai chuckled, rubbed his hands.

"Brother, just watch, you just wait here, I'll be back soon."

Lou Huai's form suddenly turned into a wisp of black mist, disappearing along the ground.

He sneaked into the water, and in no time, came back with a black-gray, semi-transparent egg.

He eagerly handed the fist-sized egg to Yu Ziqing.

"Brother, let's hurry and leave. It won't be easy to escape once we're discovered."

The two quietly descended the hill, Yu Ziqing carrying Lou Huai, running wildly.

Before long, they saw demonic energy steaming behind them as Devils soared into the sky.

But those Devils didn't pursue; instead, they began fighting among themselves.

Returning from the Abyssal Rift, Yu Ziqing looked at the egg in his hand.

"What is this?"

"A Great Devil in that river laid this Devil Egg. It hasn't hatched, fought, or tasted Blood Food, Brother. I assure you, among the Devils, there's nothing with purer power than this Black Sky Devil."

Yu Ziqing laughed heartily. Lou Huai, this guy, really was a talent.

True enough, there wasn't anything better.

He needed merely a catalyst, a seed, not something too powerful. Pure power was more fitting.

Seeing those Devils by the riverbank, with constant bloodshed and aggressive nature, there wasn't a one without pure power.

Only this Devil Egg was the sole suitable choice.

"Let's go, back we go."

First, he would cultivate Black Sky Devil God Qi, and when it came time to hunt Devils, he'd leave traces of Black Sky Devil God Qi, framing the Black Sky Devils.

After all, Black Sky Devils, chaotic, bloodthirsty, and aggressive, it was perfectly reasonable to blame them.

Plus, with their numbers, it was only too fitting.
