Chapter 46: Chapter 46: This Isn’t a Kindergarten Bus!

Haruto's mouth twitched.

He had definitely held back.

But it was for the great plan!

Seeing that Haruto remained silent, Ymir felt she had hit the mark.

"Heh, having an ice-cold beauty ride you must've felt amazing, huh? Tsk tsk, in broad daylight too. What an eyesore."

Haruto squinted at Ymir with a smile.

"Old woman, with those tiny eyes of yours, I doubt anything could even pollute them."

"Dark and gloomy guy, you wanna argue? Even if my eyes are small, they're still bigger than that thing of yours—silver-plated spearhead!"

"Oh? Old woman, you've never tried it, so how would you know? Or is this a provocation? Could it be that you're actually drooling over it?"

Historia covered her face.

Was this something she should be listening to?

Haruto and Ymir were arguing but the one who couldn't take it anymore first was Historia. She might be cute, but she wasn't some naive little flower.

She could pick up on the implications.

Haruto was a transmigrator with the experience of two lifetimes.

Ymir was a former Pure Titan turned human, with exaggerated age and a wealth of experience. When these two started talking, it was like slamming the accelerator and welding it in place.

Haruto sat there listening, her face turning red as a cooked shrimp, burning hot.

This wasn't a kindergarten bus!

So, in the end, Historia forcibly pulled the two apart.

"You can't say… those weird things!"

Her little face was completely flushed as she tried to scold them with a stern expression. Unfortunately, it had zero intimidation—if anything, it just made her look more adorable.

Ymir laughed and hugged Historia.

"Haha, Historia, you're too cute." Ymir said while glaring at Haruto.

"Historia, you should stay away from this scumbag. That guy can't even walk straight when he sees a beautiful woman."

Haruto rolled his eyes.

Historia sneakily glanced at Haruto, feeling guilty. Seeing that he wasn't paying attention to her, she let out a sigh of relief.

Then she suddenly thought of Annie.

A slight sense of crisis inexplicably arose in her heart.

Ymir noticed Historia's strange reaction.

Her heart skipped a beat.

Crap!

She shot a vicious glare at Haruto.

This was all his fault!

"Hey, I heard a loud noise. What's going on?"

Keith barged into the training ground with a scowl.

He just didn't understand.

How could a hand-to-hand combat exercise; something he usually ignored, produce screams like a pig being slaughtered?

By now, Annie had already stood up and distanced herself from Reiner, acting as if none of this had anything to do with her.

Reiner climbed up from the ground, looking absolutely miserable.

Bruised and swollen.

Clearly, Annie had gone all out.

It was obvious at a glance what had happened.

But Keith had no interest in dealing with minor spats between recruits.

If the instructor got involved, both parties would get punished, and no one would benefit.

At this stage, the 104th Training Corps wasn't a bunch of rookies anymore. They were on the verge of graduating as fully trained soldiers.

Keith was too lazy to punish people for minor mistakes.

In the silence, Mikasa suddenly said loudly,

"Sir, it was Sasha farting!"

Her voice was crisp, clear, and full of conviction.

Sasha: ?

Keith nodded.

"Sasha, again?! Focus on your training and stop fooling around!"

Sasha: ?!?

After Keith left, Sasha screamed and lunged at Mikasa.

"Mikasa!!!"

The whole scene had everyone laughing.

----------------------

The next day, during training.

Everyone was moving swiftly through the forest using their ODM gear.

Scattered throughout the forest were wooden Titan-shaped targets with soft pads at the nape, simulating the act of slaying Titans.

Haruto seemed uninterested, aimlessly zipping around.

Historia was the first to finish the exercise. Seeing Haruto slacking off, she sighed helplessly. When Haruto landed, the little angel walked over, looking worried.

"This training is part of your final evaluation. Why aren't you taking it seriously, Haru? I'll go talk to the instructor and ask him to let you retake it."

Christa knew just how strong Haruto was.

He was far more powerful than anyone in the Corps. Yet he was still slacking off in training, even in graded tests.

Haruto reached out and grabbed her hand.

"Grades don't mean much to me. Don't go looking for Keith—that bald head is just trouble."

Historia chuckled at his words but quickly put on a serious face again.

"Don't you want to join the Military Police? You could live in the interior."

He shook his head. "It's meaningless."

At this point, the 104th Training Corps wasn't even sure if they'd make it to graduation. Erwin was always decisive in his actions. There was a good chance that the coup in the interior was already quietly underway.

Historia sighed and gave up trying to convince him.

Just then, someone walked over.

When Christa saw who it was, she instinctively shrank back, her expression turning bitter.

It was Keith.

A few black lines appeared on his bald head.

Clearly, he had overheard Haruto's "bald head" comment.

Haruto turned around, saw Keith, and gave an awkward smile.

Keith didn't get angry.

He simply said, "Haruto, come with me. Someone wants to see you."

Haruto was momentarily stunned before nodding.

Historia watched him leave, a hint of worry in her eyes. But Haruto had already guessed what was happening.

It had to be someone from the Survey Corps.

Most likely, Erwin had made some progress.

-----------------------

They arrived at a storage room in a secluded corner of the training grounds. The place hadn't been used in a long time, and old supplies were stacked inside.

Keith motioned for him to enter on his own.

When Haruto opened the door, he saw several people inside.

Commander Erwin, Captain Levi, Squad Leader Hange—

All the Survey Corps big shots were present. In addition, there were two other figures.

One was an old man wearing the uniform of the Garrison Regiment, with a rose insignia on his chest.

Seated to the side, he looked at Haruto as he entered—not with sharp scrutiny, but with a kind expression.

The other figure was dressed in a luxurious long coat, a dazzling red gemstone at his collar. He was middle-aged but exuded an imposing presence.

His piercing gaze seemed to see through everything, sending chills down one's spine.

One was likely Commander Dot Pixis of the Garrison Regiment.

And the other… was President Darius Zackly.

Haruto walked into the small room calmly and casually closed the door behind him. Then, pulling up a chair, he sat right in front of the three of them.

Levi raised an eyebrow.

Even he was standing, yet this guy just plopped down without hesitation?
