The Asgardian soldiers numbered a full 10,000. Despite what seemed like a long battle and the apparent defeat of many, in reality, fewer than a thousand had been taken down.

This left around 9,000 soldiers still circling outside, ready to charge. Loki figured that even the lightning couldn't possibly strike so many soldiers in time.

In addition, he had already devised a plan.

The lightning magic was clearly being cast by that human wizard. Once Loki distracted everyone with the charge of the Asgardian soldiers, he would use invisibility to sneak up behind the wizard and deliver a blow.

Once the human mage was dealt with, the lightning magic would be broken, and Loki could lead his forces to storm the control room and use the Eternal Spear to activate the Rainbow Bridge to destroy Jotunheim. That would be the end of everything.

So, while ensuring that the Asgardian soldiers charged fearlessly despite the lightning, Loki remained behind, creating an illusion of himself. His true self, holding the Eternal Spear in one hand and a dagger in the other, stealthily approached George from behind.

"You worthless mortal, die!" Loki aimed for George's kidneys, preparing to strike.

However, just as his dagger was about to pierce George, he felt an unknown force intercept the blade, causing it to pause midair.

"Truly, when there's a path to heaven, you refuse to walk it, yet you barge into hell!" George smirked and, in an instant, grew larger. While maintaining the ancient magic with his right hand, he grabbed Loki's ankle with his left and swiftly flipped him upside down.

"You...you damned mortal, you dare—ahh!" Loki raised the Eternal Spear, aiming at George, but before he could even react, his body was violently slammed into the Rainbow Bridge, causing the spear to slip from his grasp.

Before Loki could counterattack with magic, George picked him up again and slammed him down.

Once, twice, three times—until George finally stopped after seeing Loki had been pounded into near unconsciousness.

With his heightened sensory abilities, George easily detected Loki's malice before the attack. Initially, George had planned to apprehend Loki in a way that would neutralize him quickly, fearing that if things dragged on, they might be in for an even longer battle.

If Loki had the heart to use larger Asgardian weapons without concern for the Rainbow Bridge, they would be in serious trouble.

But it seemed that this universe's Loki was just like the one in the movies—fond of stabbing in the back. To George's surprise, Loki had willingly walked right into his trap.

This was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.

So, the moment Loki prepared to strike, George used magnetism to freeze the dagger in place. Then, before Loki could react, George used his giant form to overpower him in one swift move.

Many people make the mistake of thinking that a person who stands at the back casting long-range magic is likely weak in close combat.

The common assumption is that assassins counter mages, a reflexive thought for most.

In fact, this is true in many worlds, but there are exceptions, like in "Fairy Tail," where nearly everyone excels in close combat as well.

"Enough! Everyone, stop!"

After dealing with Loki, George halted the thunderstorm magic. He lifted Loki's body and shouted.

The Asgardian soldiers saw their acting king, Loki, captured and immediately ceased their attack. They had never wanted to attack Thor, who had led them to countless victories over the centuries. This was their chance.

"Hendel, go to the Celestial Palace and bring my mother here!"

At this moment, Thor emerged from the control room. Following George's instructions, he ordered one of the soldiers to relay the command.

With Odin in a deep sleep and Loki captured, Thor was still considered an outcast. The highest-ranking figure in Asgard now was the Queen, Frigga, who had always placed her trust in Thor.

So, after capturing Loki, George immediately sent a mental message to Thor, instructing him to find Frigga and ask her to take charge of the situation.

"Yes!"

The soldier saluted and ran toward the magnificent Celestial Palace.

Soon, Frigga arrived aboard Asgard's unique flying ship.

"Everyone, step back. We will wait until Odin wakes up before making any decisions."

Upon disembarking, Frigga immediately waved off the soldiers and civilians behind her, then embraced Thor.

"Thor, what happened here?"

She had been by Odin's side the entire time, never leaving his side, and had been unaware of the events unfolding outside the Celestial Palace.

"Mother, Loki..."

Thor immediately explained everything he knew to Frigga.

Frigga glanced at the unconscious Loki and couldn't help but sigh.

"I've always had a vague sense that something was wrong. Loki is far too stubborn."

As the Queen of Asgard and Loki's magic teacher, Frigga may not have been skilled in combat, but she was far from powerless.

She had sensed some of Loki's schemes, but she hadn't imagined he would go this far.

"Thor, I hope you won't hold a grudge against him. The reason he's like this is because of his origins. He is not your father Odin's son—he is the child of the Frost Giant King Laufey."

"What!"

Thor was immediately shocked by the explosive revelation his mother had just dropped.

"Mother, you and Laufey..."

"Watch your mouth, you little brat!"

Frigga raised her hand and gave Thor a light tap on the forehead.

"Loki is the son of the Frost Giant King. When he was born, he was much smaller than a typical Frost Giant, and was cruelly abandoned. Your father had just defeated Laufey and discovered Loki, so he brought him back to raise.

He hoped that you would one day become the king of Asgard, and Loki would return to Jotunheim and become the king of the Frost Giants. That way, our two races could live in peace, without further war."

"No wonder I always thought we didn't look alike, and Loki never grows a beard—he's always so clean-shaven. So, it turns out he's a Frost Giant,"

Thor said, his face lighting up as everything clicked into place. He then grinned and said, "Don't worry, Mother, I won't hold it against Loki. Although he's not my biological brother, I'll always consider him one.

Of course, he can't go on causing trouble like before."

"That's good to hear. But your father was right. Perhaps you do need to stay in Midgard a bit longer. It might help you gain some wisdom."

Frigga was pleased with Thor's attitude, though she couldn't help but worry a little about his intelligence.

"Indeed, Thor, hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy, in some ways, he's quite similar."

George, who had been listening to the conversation between Thor and Frigga, couldn't help but silently criticize. It reminded him of when he first saw Doctor Strange in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He immediately thought that Doctor Strange should join the Guardians—his smart, larger-than-life demeanor was quite similar to Thor's current attitude.

"Esteemed guests from Midgard, thank you for your help with Thor. Please join us in the Celestial Palace for some rest."

After understanding the situation from Thor, Frigga then invited George and the others, who had helped her son.
