Marvel: Transmigrated with Travelling Frog?!

Chapter 292: Chapter 292: Drax, The Destroyer

In the prison sector of Xandar, Quill and Gamora regrouped with Rocket and Groot. The four quickly decided to join forces to neutralize the guards.

Quill donned his mask, blue flames igniting beneath his boots as he hovered in midair. His gunfire struck the guards, instantly drawing their attention.

"Watch your backs! There are four intruders!" one guard shouted.

As the guards turned toward Quill, Rocket continued searching through the cells. Gamora tossed something at Groot, which hit him squarely, causing both Rocket and Groot to glance her way.

Gamora pointed toward a specific cell, signaling them to move there. Quill, catching on, lured the guards away toward the exit while Gamora, Rocket, and Groot converged at the cell holding Drax.

Amid the noise and chaos from the other cells, this particular cell stood out for its eerie silence. The darkness within exuded a foreboding and unsettling aura.

"He's in here," Gamora said, pressing her hand against the glass door. Suddenly, a hand shot out from the shadows and slammed against the glass, startling Gamora enough to make her stumble backward.

"Open the door. Let's see what kind of monster is locked in here," Rocket said, raising his gun. With a single shot, the entire door shattered.

Silence.

The three of them exchanged confused glances.

"Is it empty?"

"Did we get the wrong cell?"

Without warning, a hand shot out from the darkness, grabbing Gamora by the throat and yanking her inside. She struggled, gasping for air as if suffocating. Rocket yelled and immediately fired his gun, forcing the hand to release her.

Gamora collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. The strength of the grip she had just experienced left no doubt—had they been a moment too late, she might have been choked to death.

"You carry the stench of Thanos," a deep, rumbling voice echoed from within the cell.

Groot extended his hand, pulling Gamora back to safety. The three stood back-to-back, bracing for any further threats. Footsteps echoed through the cell as a towering figure emerged from the shadows—a hulking man with a bare, dark red torso. Every inch of his skin was etched with intricate, ancient tattoos.

His piercing eyes scanned the trio.

"You reek of Thanos!"

Drax unsheathed two gleaming silver daggers from his waist, ready to strike. Rocket turned to Gamora, demanding, "Why is he saying that? Who are you, really?"

Gamora's gaze flickered with hesitation, but there was no time to hide the truth any longer. She spread her hands, signaling for calm.

"Let me explain," she said.

"Yes, I was part of Thanos's army. Not just that—I'm his daughter."

"I knew it!" Drax roared, lunging at Gamora. He pinned her against the wall, one blade pressed to her throat.

Gamora raised her hands in a gesture of surrender, showing no intent to fight back. Meanwhile, Quill, having dealt with the guards, rushed in and froze at the sight of Gamora being threatened. He quickly stepped forward.

"Hey, take it easy, buddy! I think there's been a misunderstanding. We're here to help you."

Drax glanced at Quill, momentarily holding off his attack.

Gamora seized the opportunity to speak.

"When I was a child, Thanos destroyed my home planet. He took me as his adoptive daughter and raised me. Ever since then, I've been planning to kill him."

Hearing this, Quill's expression softened with sympathy. He turned to Drax.

"You see? We're here to break you out. And she's here to stop Thanos. She can lead you to him."
