After Danzo finished speaking, Kato Dan immediately activated the Spiritualization Technique, which he had now mastered. Once activated, his spirit body left his physical body in an instant and rushed toward Kain's location.

In the next second, Hyuga Shin hastily said, "Jōnin's Spiritualization Technique hit the target, and now the target has exploded? It's smoke—Jōnin's Spiritualization Technique hit a Shadow Clone!"

Shadow Clone?

The target's intelligence indicated they might learn ninjutsu, but it was clearly a sneak attack, and they were fooled by a Shadow Clone.

Danzo's face turned cold as he quickly realized a possibility. He immediately ordered, "Withdraw! Hurry up!"

Boom!

A loud bang erupted, and a fiery wave burst through the roof of the pharmaceutical factory. Along with the deafening roar, billowing smoke and flames swept through the area like a sandstorm.

The explosion's scale was immense—houses collapsed, and reinforced concrete rained down like hail.

The shockwave from the blast threw Kato Dan, Hyuga Shin, and the others tens of meters away. As they were sent flying, they collided with rubble and steel bars, losing limbs in the process.

"That's art, but not strong enough."

Kain, from a distance, felt a great sense of relief when he saw the soaring flames. A factory full of nothing and a Shadow Clone could create such a big result.

Fortunately, the residents of the pharmaceutical factory lived far away. Otherwise, under the impact of this explosion, half the people in the entire town would have been lucky if they survive.

The guards quickly emerged after hearing the explosion, rushing to comfort the terrified civilians. They had received prior warning a few days ago, so they were better prepared than the civilians.

If there were no survivors, he would call for someone to clean up the mess.

"Ahem, Danzo,-sama how are you?"

After recovering from the explosion's impact, the less-injured Root members immediately approached Danzo to check on his condition.

Danzo coughed up a few mouthfuls of blood, then supported himself on a Root ninja and asked, "Where are the others?"

"It's not looking good, Danzo-sama. Both of Jōnin's legs were blown off, and one of his arms was lost. As for the person who entered the factory..."

Hyuga weakly responded, his own arm broken. The explosion had been too powerful—there had been no time to dodge, and many people were seriously injured.

"Retreat immediately!"

Danzo was extremely angry, but he knew this was not the time to vent his frustration. Once again, he had been ambushed—just like last time. Now, he feared that the enemy might have another trick up their sleeve if he didn't retreat.

"It seems some interesting guests arrived today. This is... Konoha's assistant Hokage, Mr. Danzo?"

A voice sounded nearby. The Root ninjas quickly surrounded Danzo, on high alert, and then saw a cloud of black mist descending from the sky. A strange figure emerged.

"How could Mr. Danzo be in such a mess? And why did my factory explode? Could it be Mr. Danzo's fault?"

Kain said to Danzo with a hint of mockery, "Although the pharmaceutical factory is gone, I still have some wound medicine here. If Mr. Danzo is willing to kneel and beg me, I might consider giving it to you."

Boom!

Suddenly, a figure shot out from the ruined, flame-engulfed factory and charged toward Kain like a desperado.

"There are still survivors? obstacles! rise!"

While Kain was momentarily surprised, he quickly used his magic: one spell hindered the opponent's advance, and another used the Transformation Technique to create walls on the ground.

However, dazzling lightning erupted from the opponent, breaking through the transformed wall and crashing into Kain. It was blocked by the Iron Armor Curse, but the immense force still sent him flying.

It was Third Raikage—he was not dead, but his body was covered in wounds, and one of his eyes was blind.

"You all, buy us some time!" Danzo ordered, then turned to Third Raikage. "The plan failed."

After speaking, Danzo was the first to use ninjutsu to retreat. Some of his subordinates also quickly evacuated, and two of them grabbed Kato Dan and fled together.

The two he called to stop Kain were both injured but still capable of fighting. After hearing Danzo's order, hesitation flashed across their faces, but after being trained by Anbu, they carried out the order without question.

"Heart Turning Technique!"

"Shadow Binding!"

The two control-type secret techniques immediately struck Kain as he was flying through the air, binding him before he could get up.

"If you want to leave, go. The old man wants to avenge Adam."

Danzo's instincts were correct. Just as Third Raikage finished speaking, ten RPG rocket launchers from several other directions fired at him in an instant.

Rumbling explosions echoed one after another. While they didn't damage Third Raikage, they prevented him from advancing toward Kain.

"Third Raikage, go! We can't hold on much longer!"

A ninja from the Nara clan, his face covered with blue veins, shouted as his Chakra was depleted. As soon as he revealed his position, three rockets struck him.

With a loud rumble, the Nara clan ninja was instantly obliterated.

"Hateful!!"

Third Raikage shouted in fury upon seeing this, but he knew there was nothing more to be done. He then surged his Lightning Style Chakra to its peak and turned to flee.

Not long after he left, another hidden Yamanaka ninja collapsed to the ground, dead from Chakra exhaustion.
