* BOOOM *
The train was hurtling along the tracks at breakneck speed when suddenly, a deafening explosion rents the air, causing the entire compartment to shake violently. In the chaos that followed, Victor lost his footing and stumbled away. James realized that it was an opportunity to save his life and with steely determination, he swung himself inside the compartment, bringing himself to safety just in the nick of time.
As he burst into the room, a shocking scene unfolded before his eyes. A man stood before him, flames dancing and flickering on his open palms, locked in a fierce battle with none other than Captain America and Bucky. James' jaw clenched as he assessed the situation, knowing that he needed to act fast if he wanted to make a difference. Without a second thought, he sprang into action, charging forward to join the fray and lend his aid to his comrades.
While sprinting towards the mutant, he could feel the heat of the fireball building up in the mutant's hand. With a quick sidestep, he dodged the fiery projectile and closed the distance between them in a flash.
In one swift motion, James extended his claws and drove them straight through the mutant's outstretched hand, the sound of rending flesh and cracking bones filling the air.
The mutant let out an anguished cry as he recoiled from the attack, clutching his ruined hand in agony. James didn't hesitate for a moment, lunging forward once again with his claws bared. The sound of metal on metal filled the room as James struck the mutant in the chest, the force of the blow sending him reeling backward.
With a determined glint in his eye, James continued to attack the mutant, striking him again and again until he finally fell silent. As James caught his breath, he surveyed the scene before him, realizing that the mutant had breathed his last.
When he turned around, the scene that met his eyes was nothing short of incredible. Victor and Captain America were locked in a fierce battle, their fists flying as they exchanged blow after blow. Each one was determined to emerge victorious, their eyes burning with fierce intensity as they sparred.
The fight was brutal and unrelenting, each participant unwilling to give an inch. The sound of fists striking flesh and bone echoed through the room as they continued to clash, each one matching the other in terms of strength and ferocity.
As the fight wore on, the ruthlessness of the combatants only increased. They were both seasoned warriors, honed by years of training and experience, and neither was willing to back down. The tension in the room was palpable as they continued to battle, their movements becoming increasingly frenzied as they fought on.
Victor tasted the coppery tang of blood in his mouth as he wiped it away with the back of his hand. Despite his injuries, he remained undaunted, his gaze locked onto Captain America's unyielding form. The hero had his fist raised, a look of grim determination etched onto his features as he declared, "I can do this all day."
Victor knew that he was in for a fight unlike any he had experienced before. He was battered, bruised, and bloodied, but his spirit remained unbroken. He was a fighter to the core, and he wouldn't back down, no matter what the cost.
Victor gritted his teeth, his mind racing as he searched for a way out of the dire situation. Then, his attention turned to Bucky, who was still fighting valiantly against the enemy forces. A wicked grin spread across Victor's face as he formulated a daring plan.
Without hesitation, he sprang into action, racing towards Bucky with all the speed he could muster. With a powerful shove, he sent Bucky hurtling towards the door of the train, his body tumbling out into the open air. Victor followed him closely, his heart pounding in his chest as they both plummeted toward the ground far below.
Captain America's anguished cry filled the air as he saw Bucky fall, the shock and horror on his face clear for all to see. "Bucky!" he shouted, his voice filled with raw emotion and fear.
But as James watched his brother plummet down the valley, he remained stoic and unflinching. His face was a mask of calm determination, his eyes flickering with an inner fire that could not be quenched.
Arnim Zola had been furiously issuing orders to his troops, directing them to capture or kill Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. So consumed was he by his mission that he failed to notice the faint sounds of movement on the roof above.
And so, when Captain America and James came crashing through the ceiling window, guns at the ready, Zola was caught completely off guard. He stumbled backward in shock, his eyes wide with fear as he realized that his enemies had finally caught up with him.
For a moment, there was nothing but the sound of heavy breathing and the steady click of guns being cocked. Then, with a sudden burst of action, Captain America and James sprang forward, quickly disarming Zola and the HYDRA conductor.
Arnim Zola was taken into custody and brought to a top-secret Strategic Scientific Reserve prison. There, he was interrogated by the no-nonsense Chester Phillips, who was determined to uncover the truth about HYDRA's plans.
Despite his initial reluctance, Zola eventually began to talk. He revealed that Johann Schmidt had devised a diabolical scheme to launch a devastating attack on the United States using bombs powered by the Tesseract.
Phillips was shocked by the scale of the threat, but he was equally surprised to learn that Zola had not taken the easy way out by swallowing a cyanide pill like his fellow HYDRA agents. Phillips assumed that Zola was simply trying to save his skin, but the truth was far more insidious.
As it turned out, Zola had a much more sinister plan in mind. He intended to rebuild HYDRA from within the United States government, using his knowledge and expertise to infiltrate the highest levels of power.
