Marvel: The Journey

[The Last Days As Agent 13] – The Nuclear Heist – Peggy and Val’s Bold Plan

The next day, Peggy made her way to the Isodyne Energy Warehouse. She entered the bustling hallway of the facility, filled with janitors, scientists, and workers of all kinds. As she walked, she greeted those she passed with a warm smile and a cheerful disposition, disguised by the name tag on her coat that read "Wanda".

Peggy entered an office and quickly got to work, tidying up the scattered files and straightening the desk. Suddenly, the door creaked open, and an old man shuffled into the room.

The old man's surprise at seeing Peggy was palpable, but it was the way he looked at her that sent a shiver down her spine. His lustful gaze made Peggy's skin crawl, and she braced herself for what might come next.

"Are you a new secretary?" he asked, a lecherous grin spreading across his face.

Peggy forced a smile and replied, "Yes, I'm new here."

The old man's eyes roamed over her body, and Peggy could feel his gaze lingering on her curves. "I didn't know we had such a new beautiful face here," he said, his voice thick with desire.

Peggy forced a laugh and replied, "Stop! I'm not that beautiful!" But inside, she seethed with disgust. She quietly took out the syringe from her inner coat pocket.

With a steady hand and a resolute expression, Peggy walked toward the old man. Without a moment's hesitation, she plunged the syringe into his neck, watching as his eyes rolled back in their sockets.

"Give me your access key," she said firmly, her voice betraying none of the turmoil she felt inside. "And, if someone asks about your access key, tell them that you misplaced it and haven't seen it since."

The man's breathing became shallow and ragged, and Peggy knew that she had to act fast. With a deft movement, she released the syringe and grabbed the access key from him. She shoved the old man into a chair and walked out of the office.

As Peggy stepped out of the old man's office, she scanned the hallway, looking for any sign of danger. Her eyes fell upon Val, disguised as a janitor, and she walked past him without a word. The janitor looked up from mopping the floor and watched as Peggy strode confidently down the hall. He waited until she was out of sight before entering the janitor's room.

A few moments later, Val emerged from the room, dressed in a scientist's lab coat. He followed Peggy, keeping a safe distance as she made her way toward the elevator.

Peggy pressed the button for the restricted section of the warehouse and waited as the doors opened. Val stepped into the elevator behind her, his eyes never leaving her back. She pressed the button for the basement level, and the doors closed as they descended deeper into the bowels of the Isodyne Energy Warehouse.

The elevator doors opened to reveal four guards standing in front of Peggy and Val.

With lightning-fast reflexes, Peggy and Val leaped into action. They moved as one, striking the guards with precision blows that rendered them unconscious.

Peggy and Val moved stealthily through the restricted section of the warehouse, their senses on high alert for any signs of danger. They approached the massive metal door at the end of the hallway. The warning sign on the door meant that they had reached their destination.

Peggy and Val quickly donned the protective suits that were designed to shield them from the nuclear radiation that was present outside the door. Peggy inserted the access key into the lock on the metal door.

The metal door opened with a hiss, and Peggy and Val stepped inside to find themselves face-to-face with two massive atomic bombs.

Without hesitation, Val sprang into action. He retrieved the metal containers that were placed in a corner of the vault and carefully extracted the uranium rods from the bombs.

As soon as the last rod was secured in its container, Peggy let out a sigh of relief. "Good work, Val," she said, patting him on the shoulder.

Val grinned. "You're not so bad yourself."

Peggy and Val made their way back to the elevator. As the doors slid shut behind them, Peggy let out a deep breath. "That was intense," she said.

Val nodded. "Yeah, but we got what we came for."

In a sprawling mansion, Calvin and Whitney lounged on a plush sofa while the servants presented them with refreshments. As they sipped their tea, Whitney couldn't help but notice Joseph Manfredi, the powerful head of the Italian Manfredi Crime Family, who was engaged in conversation with Calvin.

Whitney watched as Joseph's eyes lingered on her, even as he spoke to her husband. She made a show of crossing her legs seductively, hoping to capture his attention even more.

As she watched Joseph's eyes shine when she crossed her legs, Whitney knew that the meeting would be as smooth as she hoped. She knew that dealing with a man like Joseph was always risky, but she was determined to make the most of the opportunity presented to her.

"We just need some men to transport the bombs," Whitney said smoothly.

Joseph's response was immediate. "Of course, of course! We have guns, too. Do you need guns?"

Whitney shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "No, no. That would be unnecessary. We only need some strong men to transport the bombs."

Joseph was quick to reassure her. "It will be easily done."
