Marvel: Symbiote Spider-Man

Chapter 15: CH 14: The Kiss

"Whew, we're safe..." Peter sighed in relief as he closed the door behind him and Gwen. They had arrived pretty late, so the dinner was already prepared. And much to his happiness, May hadn't eaten yet. It warmed up his heart that she waited for him so they could eat together.

"For now." Gwen smiled teasingly "If that look of Aunt May had anything to say, she won't be letting you off that easily."

His face twitched "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. But for now, we have more important business to attend to."

He walked up to and opened his closet, where he had hid away the spiders. As he looked at them in wonder, Gwen came to his side "So, are you planning to let one bite you now, or will you wait for another time?"

"Definitely now. Believe me, I couldn't wait even if I wanted to."

"You're really impatient about all of this, you know?"

"You would understand if you were in my shoes. You can't believe how amazing it feels, Gwen. The feeling of power, the speed, the sense of freedom. It makes you feel like a new, improved version of yourself.

Just the fact that I've decided to take their venom one at a time is impressive, you know? You have no idea how tempted I am to take all of their venom at once. But well, safety comes first."

'To be honest, I COULD take all of their venom all at once without worrying about a single thing. But it wouldn't be safe for my identity as Peter Parker.'

"And that speech doesn't concern me at all." Gwen sighed worriedly. Peter chuckled and nudged her arm "Come on, Gwen. Don't be so worried. I'm not going to turn into some supervillain, alright? I've used my powers for good ever since I've got them, and I'm planning to keep it that way."

"...Alright, sure. I trust you." She smiled "I know just how kind you are. And even if your behavior changes a little," She tapped on his chest "I know your heart won't."

He smiled "Thanks for trusting me, Gwen. I won't let you down."

"I know you won't." She whispered quietly, staring into his brown eyes. He stared back at her blue eyes, and the world seemed to go silent. Gwen could only focus on his eyes and hard chest, while Peter could only focus on her beautiful face and soft hand.

It felt like the entire world was just the two of them for a moment, and they couldn't believe just how much they were drawn to each other at that instance. Without noticing, they stepped closer to one another, their eyes locked as Gwen gripped his shirt softly and Peter gently cupped her cheek.

His fingers felt her blonde hair as they pulled each other closer, and boom. As their lips crashed, it was like fireworks went off inside of them. It felt like they had found the missing puzzle they needed to complete each other.

A soft whimper escaped Gwen's soft, pillowy lips, but was quickly swallowed by Peter's firmer lips. Peter tilted her head, deepening the kiss and making Gwen moan gently. Her lips felt like heaven on his. So soft, so sweet, so delicious.

He couldn't help but want to continue kissing her forever. It explained why he let go of her only after kissing her for several minutes. But from the mesmerized look on her beautiful face and her dopey smile, she didn't seem to be complaining at all.

"Wow, Pete..." She panted softly "That was... amazing..." He returned her smile with one of his own "More than just amazing, spectacular." He gently pulled her in again, as did she, before they resumed their wonderful kiss.

"Peter!" But Aunt May's call jolted them awake "I took out a sleeping mattress and bedding for you to sleep on!"

Gwen blushed brightly and tried to pull away, only now really realizing what had happened. But she felt the hand that she nor Peter had realized had circled around her waist during the kiss kept her at bay.

"Peter, let go! Your Aunt May will see-" She tried to reason, but he gently cupped her chin with a hungry smirk "Oh, no no no, sweetheart. I'm not letting some generic ass cockblock ruin our sweet time."

And he crashed his lips into her again. Gwen tried to fight back, but it wasn't so easy when her heart and body, unlike her brain, refused to listen to reason. She melted in his arms again and finally returned the kiss, much to Peter's delight.

*Knock knock*

"Peter, Gwen? Why aren't you answering?" But they truly had to stop, much to both of their dismay. He finally pulled back with a deep frown and a sigh "I'm coming, Aunt May!"

Peter wanted to let go after a teasing remark, but when he saw the shy but dopey smile on Gwen's pretty face, his heart skipped a beat. She looked so beautiful. Drunk on his kiss, with her lips red and swollen somewhat.

Her soft panting shook his heart with each breath, and it took all of his willpower to let go of her after a fond peck to her lips, his voice quiet and loving as he pulled back "We'll continue that later?"

"Definitely." She answered absentmindedly, but without hesitation. Neither of them wanted to let go, but alas, Peter luck had to cockblock him somehow. He opened the door for Aunt May with a smile "Hey, Aunt May. What's up?"

"As I yelled just now, I took out a mattress and blanket for you to-" She froze, before smirking mischievously "Ooh, I'm so sorry for interrupting, Peter. I really should have been more mindful."

"H-huh? What? W-what are you talking about?" His smile faltered, turning nervous as she laughed softly, knowingly "It's okay, Peter, I understand. You are young, after all. It's completely normal, especially with how beautiful Gwen looks and how handsome you are. I won't bother you anymore. Here, just take these."

She shoved the mattress and blanket into the panicking Peter's arms "W-wait, it's not like that!" Even if he was a confident guy, getting caught like that was still awkward. But May just smiled "Sweetie, next time you want to hide it," And wiped the corner of his lip "At least wipe the lipstick stain off, okay?"

His heart dropped as she showed him her thumb, now red with the lipstick stain that she wiped off of his lips. He smiled shyly, face heating up and making her laugh as she walked down the stairs "Be sure to use protection~!"

When she disappeared, Peter rubbed his hot cheeks, embarrassed beyond belief. With a sigh, he walked back inside, and if the way Gwen was covering her face had anything to say, she must have heard everything. He didn't even need to see her face to know she was blushing, her blush had traveled up to her ear and down to neck.

"So you put on lipstick, huh?" He gave a crooked, embarrassed smirk. Gwen uncovered her face and sighed "It was just a little bit... I didn't expect us to k-kiss, after all!"

"Well, the cat is out of the bag now." He smiled in defeat and set the stuff down. There was a moment of awkward silence between them. Both of them were blushing, the aftermath of getting caught while eating each other's face.

Gwen's fingers, while interlocked, danced around each other as her blush grew "S-so..." The words wouldn't come out, but she forced them out "W-what... what does this...."

But they just refused to come out. It wasn't just out of nervousness, it was out of fear. She had liked Peter for ages, but never had the guts to tell him. Not only did she fear rejection, but she also feared that she would ruin their friendship.

With her amazing looks, she would be dumb to fear rejection. But Peter had never shown any romantic interest in her, after all. She knew that not until a while ago, he was head over heels for Sally Avril. He wasn't one to hide it around her and Harry.

So the interest he suddenly showed for her had felt like a complete dream. She was still waiting to suddenly wake up and realize that today really was all a dream. But worse than that, she felt like the kiss just happened on a whim. Just the result of hormones that they couldn't keep in control. Just a mistake.

Gwen's heart sank more and more at every thought that wrecked her mind. Her heart beat rapidly. Her palms were sweaty, knees growing weak as her arms felt heavier and heavier on her shoulders.

Peter wanted to give a teasing remark, but after noticing her obvious nervousness, he simply couldn't. He was never one to make fun of someone who was feeling emotionally vulnerable. He was a monster now, sure. But he wasn't that evil.

"What does this make us?" He smiled fondly and gently grabbed her fidgeting hands, grabbing her attention. Her eyes that looked everywhere but him finally looked into his gentle eyes, and it instantly made her heart melt.

Going against all her nervousness, she nodded. He smiled, gently squeezing her hand as he answered "Then... can I give that answer tomorrow, after our date? I want that moment to be special, alright?"

Every bit of nervousness and fear that was eating away at her instantly vanished, as if complete darkness was suddenly exposed to the full power of the sun. Gwen's heart skipped a beat at his words, at his smile, at his loving eyes, and she couldn't stop the giant smile of happiness that made its way to her beautiful face "Y-yeah! Yeah, sure! Of course!"

He chuckled as she stammered with her words. Truth be told, he wanted to get right back to tasting those delicious lips. But he didn't want to make her any more impatient than she already was. It could wait till tomorrow. He had that much patience.

"Alright then, you have anything else in mind that we can do before we hit the bed?" He smiled "Any games you wanna play or shows you wanna watch? We can also just talk about stuff that happened during the summer break."

"Huh? Don't you want to take the spider venom yet? I-I mean, I'm happy that you want to spend time with me! But you've seemed really impatient for it the entire day."

"Yeah, I do want to get right to it. But still, I want to spend time and have fun with you just as much. So I'll do it after we decide to hit the bed. How does that sound?"

It was a small act, but it was the small things that mattered. She smiled happily and nodded "Alright, sure! Then... wanna tell me about the stuff that happened with Spider-Man's life? Who have you fought, what kind of crimes have you stopped, those kinds of things."

"Sure." He shrugged and began to tell her about everything that Peter had experienced before he showed up. Obviously, there weren't any supervillains to mention, but there were so many crimes in his memories that he didn't know which one to mention.

New York truly was the City That Never Sleeps. There were over a hundred crimes that Peter had stopped in just a few months. He wished he was exaggerating, but seriously, multiple crimes would happen each day. No wonder he never had a break.

After talking for quite a while, it was finally time to sleep, and time for him to get new powers. He stood in front of his open closet again, in front of the containers with the super spiders inside, and with Gwen on his side. But she had kept some distance. Not only was it dangerous, she also didn't like spiders that much.

"Peter, be careful, alright?" She chewed on her lip anxiously. Peter looked back and nodded with a reassuring smile "Don't worry, everything will be alright. Now, which one to choose?"

He didn't know what to expect. There was never a moment where a single Spider-Man had gotten bit by multiple spiders. He didn't know if he would gain new powers, like Miles Morales, who got bit by a different spider than Peter, or if his already existing powers would simply get stronger. But that simply made it even more fun. He couldn't wait to find out.

He didn't know what was different about each one, so he simply decided to take them in a normal order. He picked up the container on the top left "Hey~, little guy..."

Gwen looked concerned, but ready to take action in case anything went wrong. But Peter? His excitement simply grew as he slowly opened the container and put his hand inside. The next second, a sharp sting ran through him, making him jolt as he quickly pulled his hand back and closed the container, making sure that it was shut tight so the super spider wouldn't escape.

"Peter, you okay?!" Gwen quickly rushed to his side. He nodded with an excited smile "Y-yeah, yeah! I'm good! Look!" He showed her the back of his hand, where a nasty spider bite mark had appeared.

"Now, we just wait- w-whoa..." He turned dizzy and nearly lost his footing. But Gwen quickly helped him stand "P-Peter, you alright?!"

He nodded, sweat beginning to form on his face "Yeah, Gwen, don't worry. This is normal. It happened with the first spider too. Now, just help me lay down on my spot."

Gwen helped him walk to his spot on the ground. She had tried to reason with him to sleep on the bed before, and he had already refused. Saying that he couldn't let a girl sleep on the floor while he slept on the bed. So she knew better than to argue with him in his current state.

She laid him down and covered him with his blanket "You sure there's nothing to worry about, Peter?"

He nodded with a shaky but reassuring smile "Yeah, I promise. Now, let's just sleep, alright? Because I... really... need it..." And it was lights out for him. His slow pants and snores rang throughout the room, leaving Gwen speechless '...Geez, how am I going to sleep now...?' She wasn't sure if the worry would let her.
