Chapter 334: Departure, Begin the Annihilation of Thanos!

Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf were two of Thanos's most trusted confidants, pillars of his Black Order. Yet after being slain by Alex, the universe remained strangely quiet. No vengeance fleets, no counter-assault, not even the faintest ripple of reprisal.

Several days slipped by like this, the silence almost unnerving.

It was baffling. When Loki's invasion of Earth had failed, Thanos had immediately dispatched Ebony Maw to set things right. But now, with Ronan, Ebony Maw, and Black Dwarf all dead, the Mad Titan hadn't stirred.

Perhaps he was watching. Perhaps he was calculating. Or perhaps he simply thought Alex was beneath his notice.

For Alex, it didn't matter. He wasn't about to waste energy trying to untangle Thanos's twisted logic.

He had already made his decision. Thanos had dared to set his sights on Krakoa. That alone was reason enough. The rest was noise.

When preparations were complete, there was only one path forward—attack.

---

"Alex, we are ready!"

The voice came from behind him. Erik and Charles approached, both dressed for war, their bearing solemn and resolute. A handful of X-Men followed at their backs, every one of them armed and armored.

Alex ended his conversation with Captain Marvel and turned, eyes sweeping over them.

"In that case," he said, voice calm but ringing with finality, "let's depart."

"Danvers, see you soon."

"See you soon, everyone," Captain Marvel replied with her easy confidence. She even managed to wave at Charles, Erik, and the others before the connection winked out.

Alex wasted no time. Together with Charles and Erik, he strode to the great hall of Krakoa.

There, Raven, Hank, Cyclops, Storm, Liz, Vincent, and the rest of the X-Men stood assembled in disciplined ranks. The air was charged with expectation.

Though their foe was none other than Thanos, cosmic overlord and master of the universe's largest fleet, not one of them looked fearful. Determination blazed in their eyes.

Because Alex was here.

Because Captain Marvel was with them.

With those two, the impossible suddenly seemed achievable.

Of course, they weren't naive. Alex had made sure they understood what they faced. Thanos was no ordinary tyrant—his personal might was terrifying, a titan ranked among the apex predators of the cosmos. His fleet dwarfed most empires.

But Krakoa had not sat idle. They had prepared thoroughly these past few days, sharpening every blade, tuning every system, steeling every heart. Confidence pulsed through the room, steady as a war drum.

---

Whoosh. Whoosh. Whoosh.

The sound of Alex's arrival echoed across the hall. Instantly, every X-Man turned their gaze toward him.

Alex stopped before them, letting the silence stretch just long enough for their anticipation to crest. His eyes burned like twin torches as he spoke.

"If anyone dares set their sights on Krakoa," his voice rang out, firm and unyielding, "there is nothing more to say—annihilate them!"

A cheer almost broke out, but the soldiers restrained themselves.

"Alright. Let's move out."

The words were simple, but they cut like steel.

With a sweep of his arm, Alex led the way toward the starship waiting beyond the gates.

---

Yes, Krakoa had starships.

Their existence was owed to the brutal war with the Kree Empire years ago. In that battle, Alex had personally seized several warships as spoils. Hank, with his insatiable brilliance, had then spent nearly three decades unraveling their secrets.

Piece by piece, he had mastered their systems, not only learning to operate them but even building replicas. By now, Krakoa's hangars contained sleek vessels fully capable of interstellar travel.

So when outsiders called Krakoa "the most developed nation on Earth," it wasn't empty boasting.

It was fact.

---

"Alright, let's go!" Hank called out as the crew boarded. His fur bristled with both nerves and pride as he slid into the pilot's chair, fingers dancing over alien consoles that he now knew as well as his own handwriting.

The ship's engines roared to life.

Whoosh!

With a surge of raw power, the vessel shot into the sky, a comet tearing away from Earth's atmosphere. The planet dwindled to a blue marble behind them as they pierced the veil of space.

---

The journey was long and grueling. Four consecutive interstellar jumps. A full day of flight through cold starlit void.

Inside the ship, the X-Men kept to their stations, sharpening blades, whispering in pairs, or staring silently at the endless stars beyond the viewport. Every hum of the engine was a reminder that they were leaving the familiar behind and plunging into the heart of the unknown.

Finally, Hank's voice broke the tension.

"Alex, everyone—we've arrived!"

---

At once, the cabin stirred.

"Charles, it's your turn," Erik said at once, his voice steady but carrying an undercurrent of tension.

Charles unclipped his harness and rose. Raven immediately joined him, following as he moved into a chamber deep within the ship.

There, gleaming softly beneath dim lights, was Cerebro.

Not the grand structure that spanned continents, but a compact, battle-ready unit designed for missions such as this. For Charles, it was enough. His mind didn't need to cover all of Earth—only the enemy's armada.

Raven moved quickly, fingers flying over the console. The unit powered up with a low hum, lights chasing one another across its surface.

"All set," she said, nodding firmly.

Charles lowered the helmet onto his head. At once, his psychic power surged outward, vast and invisible, washing over the stars like a tide.

"How is it, Charles? Do I need to get Emma?" Raven asked, unable to hide the edge in her voice.

Everyone understood how crucial this was. If Charles couldn't encompass Thanos's army, their entire plan would falter. They had a backup unit prepared, and Emma Frost was waiting. But even she and Charles together had limits.

They had run the numbers. Based on Captain Marvel's intelligence, Charles should have been more than sufficient.

But battlefields rarely obeyed mathematics.

Charles's face darkened almost immediately. His brow furrowed, lips pressed thin, his entire body trembling faintly with the strain.

"The other side has a telepath," he said at last, his tone grim. "And she is very powerful. Quick—get Emma. I need her help!"

Raven's heart skipped. She wasted no time, sprinting back to relay the message.

Alex received it with narrowed eyes. For a moment, his mind raced, and then the answer surfaced.

Supergiant.

The missing member of the Black Order. The one who had never appeared in the films.

Her specialty? Telepathy, mental manipulation, the twisting of minds.

It could be no one else.

---

"I'll take a look," White Queen said sharply. Without hesitation, she entered the second Cerebro unit and slid on her helmet.

Her eyes widened almost at once. "What a powerful telepath…"

Together, Charles and Emma pushed back. Two titanic minds working in tandem, a united front of diamond and steel.

Supergiant resisted, her psychic barrier locking down Thanos's inner circle. But the rest of the army—the countless rank-and-file soldiers—began to bend beneath the combined pressure.

Not perfectly. Not completely. But enough.

They had seized control of the horde.

Supergiant might hold the heart of Thanos's command, but the ocean of soldiers beyond? They now moved to Krakoa's will.
