Marvel Shuttling the Heavens

Chapter 280: The First Giant Beast!

"What did you just say? Repeat that!"

Hearing Newton's words, Li Yue showed a rare expression of shock. He stared intensely at Newton, waiting for his response.

"Um, Jurassic Park. What about it?" Newton replied weakly, shrinking back under Li Yue's piercing gaze.

"Are you sure it's called Jurassic Park? What do they do? Tell me in detail!" Although deeply shocked, Li Yue tried to calm himself and asked Newton in a steady tone.

"Jurassic Park is an organization that appeared a few years ago, after the kaiju attacks began. Unlike others who focused on the kaiju, they were interested in dinosaurs that went extinct 65 million years ago. They aim to 'resurrect' these long-gone rulers of Earth."

"They succeeded and established a company, bought an island, and created a theme park full of various dinosaurs."

Newton looked at Li Yue, who had withdrawn his intense gaze and seemed lost in thought. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "They've got quite the commercial mind, turning these former rulers of Earth into exhibits for humans to visit. Imagine the thrill of people feeling they've conquered the Earth by viewing these creatures!"

"It even gave me the idea of creating a kaiju zoo after defeating them. Or better yet, an alien zoo!"

...

No longer listening to Newton's ramblings, Li Yue was lost in deep thought. He had a limited understanding of his world-hopping abilities, but after multiple traversals, he thought he grasped it. This new situation, however, threw him into confusion again.

"There must be a reason for this," Li Yue mused, recalling the Space Stone heating up when he arrived. He hadn't explored it then, being preoccupied with the kaiju attack. Now, he realized it might be connected to his current predicament.

Submerging his consciousness into the cosmic space within his mind, he observed, "So that's it…"

...

"Mr. Li Yue, Mr. Li Yue… What's wrong?" Newton's calls snapped Li Yue back to reality.

"Sorry, I was just thinking about something. What's up?" Li Yue responded casually to the puzzled looks from Newton and Hermann.

"Newton and I have decided. I have a close contact in Jurassic Park's research team, a biologist. We're planning to visit tomorrow to get some help. Do you want to come along? It's a rare chance to see the park before it opens to the public," Newton said with a bright smile, clearly excited about both implementing his plan and seeing the dinosaurs.

"Alright, since you've invited me, I'll join you to check out this Jurassic Park," Li Yue replied, masking his eagerness to see if it matched his memories of Jurassic Park.

"Okay then, let's call it a day. Tomorrow morning, before you leave, come to my room and call me. You should easily find it," Li Yue said, eager to let Little Dumb investigate further.

"Mr. Li Yue, whatever your reason for visiting us today, thank you for the reminder," Newton said solemnly as Li Yue prepared to leave.

"You're welcome. See you tomorrow," Li Yue said, waving as he exited quickly.

"See you tomorrow, Mr. Li Yue!" Newton called after him.

...

"Newton, do you think Mr. Li Yue had some hidden agenda for visiting us today?" Hermann asked once Li Yue was out of sight.

"Don't twist my words. I said he has a certain mysterious air… Okay, maybe he did have a hidden agenda. But it might be to ensure the success of the counterattack. After all, he's the one who'll pilot the mech carrying the nuke into the wormhole. It makes sense to prepare thoroughly for such a life-threatening mission," Newton speculated.

...

Li Yue locked the door in his room and called out to Little Dumb. "Little Dumb, search for any unusual occurrences in this world."

"Searching for anomalies as you requested, sir. Search time unknown..." Little Dumb responded, indicating it had begun the search.

"Sir, I've found an anomaly. Would you like to view it now or later?"

"Now," Li Yue answered immediately.

"Sir, all information is now displayed. Please review it," Little Dumb announced.

Li Yue focused intently on the holographic projection from his watch, engrossed in the information.

"In 1954, a massive beast suddenly appeared. Some say it was awakened by nuclear weapons; others claim it was an alien. Its destructiveness and vitality matched its enormous size. After taking a direct hit from the most powerful weapon at the time, an atomic bomb, it disappeared into the Pacific Ocean. Some believe it died; others think it merely went into hibernation. People searched the Pacific but found nothing until the undersea wormhole appeared, halting their efforts."

"No matter its current state, to commemorate this first giant beast that emerged into human view, it was given a name: Godzilla."

...

Sitting back, Li Yue absorbed the information. The existence of Godzilla alongside the kaiju indicated a more complex world than he initially thought.
