Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 227: Chapter 227

"I changed my look. Let's not talk about that anymore."

Bruce dismissed the topic, unwilling to delve further into it.

"Let me out!"

The Snow King's furious roars continued to echo from within the cage.

"Don't even think about it," Bruce replied coldly.

"What is this creature anyway? Do you know? It seems like it can hypnotize its prey and make them follow it. Those who are taken… no one knows what happens to them in the end," Arthur asked, glancing at Bruce.

"Honestly, I don't know much about it. All I know is that it's a dangerous being," Bruce admitted.

"Dangerous? All it can do is fight a little. If I hadn't let my guard down, I would've taken it down already."

Arthur frowned, clearly displeased as he recalled being overpowered earlier. If not for something unexpected falling, he might not have made it.

Bruce said nothing, uninterested in exposing Arthur's fragile ego.

"So, are you planning to just keep it trapped and not eliminate it?"

Arthur tapped on the cage as he spoke.

"You can't kill me! If you dare to kill me, you'll face unimaginable consequences!"

The Snow King roared in anger, shaking the cage slightly.

Seeing this, Bruce immediately used the Yellow Lantern ring to reinforce the cage's constraints.

"What exactly is that thing?" Arthur asked curiously, eyeing the Yellow Lantern ring on Bruce's hand.

"My secret weapon," Bruce said with a slight smirk, turning his hand to deflect Arthur's attention from the ring.

"Congratulations, Bruce and Arthur, on successfully containing the Snow King!"

A cold, mechanical voice suddenly echoed in their ears.

"Who is that? Who's there?"

Startled, Arthur tensed up, glancing around nervously.

"Relax. I'll explain in a moment," Bruce said, placing a calming hand on Arthur's shoulder.

"As a reward, Bruce will receive a batch of Mental Shield Alloy, and Arthur will receive the Digimon Neptunemon."

Following the announcement, a pile of silver metal appeared before Bruce, resembling ordinary steel.

Meanwhile, Arthur found himself holding a strange device resembling a Digivice.

"The Mental Shield Alloy appears indistinguishable from standard metals but possesses a unique function: blocking mental energy. It prevents hypnosis, mind control, memory probing, and even soul attacks. After discovering this material, the Foundation developed it into various protective devices to combat SCPs capable of manipulating the mind."

"Neptunemon is one of the Olympus Twelve Digimon, a sea god Digimon that rules over all aquatic Digimon in the Digital World. Its body is covered in 'Blue Digi Alloy,' a highly mobile and speedy material. In the water, it moves with terrifying speed and its strength increases exponentially. Its power grows alongside its partner's abilities."

The mechanical voice provided a detailed explanation of the rewards.

Bruce's expression lit up with delight.

A metal that could block mental intrusion, hypnosis, and brainwashing? This was incredibly useful! Over the years, he had encountered numerous enemies capable of controlling minds. With this metal, he could effectively neutralize such threats.

"Neptunemon? What's so special about this thing?"

Arthur stared at the Digivice in confusion, unfamiliar with its function. He began randomly pressing buttons and examining it from every angle.

When he pressed a certain button, the Digivice emitted a dazzling light.

Moments later, a glowing orb emerged, transforming into a ten-meter-tall figure!

The figure's upper body resembled a human, while the lower half was a fish tail.

Its purple and white-scaled body was adorned with blue armor reminiscent of ancient generals, and it wielded a trident with shark-like blades.

Its helmet also resembled a shark, leaving it unclear whether it was part of the armor or its body.

"Are you my partner? Neptunemon is at your service," the figure said, addressing Arthur.

"You're Neptunemon? What are you? How did you come out of this tiny device?"

Arthur was dumbfounded, his gaze shifting between the Digivice and Neptunemon.

"I am data, naturally capable of residing within the Digivice," Neptunemon replied.

"Data? Wait, you're just data, but you look like a living being!"

Bruce exclaimed in shock.

"This form is the result of my data's evolution. Digimon are creatures of the Digital World, living as data in network systems. If I were to explain it in human terms, I'm akin to an advanced program. When we grow strong enough, we can enter the physical world through network terminals, with the Digivice serving as my portal," Neptunemon explained.

"What? A program that's alive? A network world? This… is unbelievable!"

Bruce felt as though his years of studying networking had been completely overturned.

He suddenly remembered Daigo, who had acquired a Digimon named Gallantmon.

"Daigo! I remember you have a Digimon too. Did Gallantmon tell you the same thing?"

"Yeah, Gallantmon explained it to me. Digimon are the result of humanity's growing digital networks. In their universe, network data can evolve into various Digimon," Daigo replied.

"They live like natural organisms and can think like humans!"

Doraemon: "Data becoming living beings? Even in the 22nd century, we couldn't achieve that!"

Tony Stark: "Wait! Isn't this basically artificial intelligence?"

Hearing this, Tony's interest was piqued. As someone who had created J.A.R.V.I.S., an advanced AI, the concept of Digimon intrigued him.

"Perhaps Digimon are the next step in AI evolution!"

Tony's inner scientist was ignited, and he couldn't help but ask questions.

"Are Digimon capable of infiltrating any connected device?"
