Chapter ninety eight:

The fight for the multiverse raged on as the heroes were slowly getting the upper hand. Doctor Doom slipped into his older body like (Loki in season 2) and looked around, seeing the destruction everywhere. It this was the Canon event, and Wanda broke it by saving the multiverse, what if Doctor Doom saved it instead?

The paragons were still pre- occupied with Prime Kang the Conquer as he made his way towards Wanda Maximoff. At this time Wanda Maximoff was completely drained of energy after the heroes nearly ended her life due to a misunderstanding.

Doctor Doom recalled this vividly as he remembered what he was going to do at the moment. Fighting two versions of the Fantastic Four at the same time. By now, this was different. He is far more powerful now. And he knew what he had to do.

"Give it up. Tony! You're outnumbered!" Said Mr. Fantastic.

Doctor Doom stared at Reed, and for a moment he became side tracked. This was his ex- friend after all. He wanted to show off his power for his own amusement. And he wanted to see Reed's reaction.

"You seem pretty confident, Reed. And I will say exactly what I said the first time... You never learn." Replied Doctor Doom.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Said Mr. Fantastic.

"I don't care what it means! He hurt Johnny and Susan!" Replied the Thing.

The Thing ran towards Doctor Doom and tried to punch him in the face, but Doctor Doom stopped him in his tracks with a flick of his fingers, lifted the Thing up miles into the air and threw him out of orbit.

"What did you do?" Said Susan Storm.

"Doom! What did you mean by the first time?" Replied Reed Richards.

"Oh Reed... Have you still not figured it out?" Said Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom showed them a red orb of power in his hand. Showing that a part of Wanda Maximoff's red chaos magic flowed in him.

"How... how do you have?" Replied Johnny Storm.

"Impossible!" Said Reed Richards.

"You have no idea what's possible." Replied Doctor Doom.

With a flick of a wrist, Doctor Doom decimated the rest of the Fantastic Four members, leaving Reed Richards the last one standing.

"No... What did you do to them?" Said Reed Richards.

Reed Richards stretched out his arms to Doctor Doom, but Doctor Doom snapped his fingers and Reed Richards powers were gone.

"What have you done?" Replied Reed Richards.

"I would love to do this dance a little while longer, but I've got more important things to deal with." Said Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom looked towards Wanda Maximoff far in the middle of the battlefield as she was being protected from Prime Kang the Conquer.

"I can't mess this up. Not again." Replied Doctor Doom.

Reed Richards then started to think. "Oh no." Said Reed Richards.

"Finally figured it out?" Replied Doctor Doom.

"You went back in time... But that means if you went back in time that means... We lost... We couldn't beat you." Said Reed Richards.

"You could see that. But be glad you didn't, unless you want everything to perish." Replied Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom then blasted Reed Richards and he fell to the floor unconscious. He then flew towards the paragons protecting Wanda Maximoff from Prime Kang the Conquer.

As the destruction and devastation of war along with the incursion, tore through New York, Wanda Maximoff was stunned at what she was witnessing. Wanda Maximoff looked around and saw everyone giving it their all, but to no avail. Wanda Maximoff saw the X-Men nearly defeated, Wanda Maximoff saw the Fantastic Four defeated by Doctor Doom.

Wanda Maximoff saw the Avengers exhausted, the paragons struggling to keep up, and Wanda saw the Externals being down to two. Wanda Maximoff saw death and destruction everywhere she looked all the while the incursion was still taking place.

Wanda Maximoff felt a great sense of sadness and guilt for everything going on around her and she closed her eyes in tears.

Wanda Maximoff stood inside Susan Storm's forcefield along with White Vision and Professor X, while Prime Kang the Conquer was being attacked by the remaining paragons as he made his way towards Wanda Maximoff. Prime Kang the Conquer managed to kill Susan Storm and the forcefield went down.

"No! Susan!" Said Wanda Maximoff.

Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) jumped in front of him but then Kang the Conquer just used his telekinesis to smack him up and down against the floor until he was unconscious. He then flew away like a rag doll.

Doctor Doom interfered as the heroes fought Prime Kang the Conquer. Without even trying to, he instantly gave off a aura that stunned them completely, since he already seemed to have a fraction of Wanda Maximoff's red chaos magic. Doctor Doom walked towards Wanda Maximoff with determination in his eyes.

It was now or never. To save existence, Doctor Doom had to take all of Wanda Maximoff's red chaos magic this time, which would kill Wanda in the process, but the fate of existence was far more important.

"Doom! He's trying to get to Wanda! We need back up!" Replied Sam Wilson.

Sam Wilson threw his shield while Thor blasted Doctor Doom with lightning. Hulk grabbed his foot and slapped him to the ground that it cracked beneath him. As Doctor Doom stood up, Wolverine jumped on top of Doctor Doom and sliced his armor. Spiderman (Tobey Maguire) was behind Wolverine and kicked Doctor Doom in the head.

Prime Kang the Conquer was stunned as he saw Doctor Doom handling the paragons on his own, and made his way towards Wanda Maximoff.

"This was not the deal! Tony!" Said Prime Kang the Conquer.

"Oh I wish that thing's could be different, Nathaniel, and I do not have time to explain myself to your primitive mind." Replied Doctor Doom.

"Primitive? Who do you think you are?" Said Prime Kang the Conquer.

"I am Tony Stark aka Doctor Doom!" Replied Doctor Doom.

Prime Kang the Conquer braced himself, gathering his cosmic energy in a powerful blast. Doctor Doom raised a hand, and the energy disappeared as if nothing happened. Doctor Doom flicked his wrist, and in a single gesture, Prime Kang the Conquer was lifted off the ground, his armor crumbling, his entire body unraveling like threads in the wind.

Wanda Maximoff seemed shocked beyond belief.

"He... he's even more powerful than Kang the Conquer! And he has my red chaos magic!" Said Wanda Maximoff.

Professor X looked stunned, feeling Doctor Doom's presence in his head.

"It can't be... He lived this before... He's from a time before the war... After he stole Wanda's powers." Replied Professor X.

"Then you know that this is futile. I cannot be stopped." Said Doctor Doom.

He then used his powers to make Professor X get out of his wheelchair.

"Impossible!" Replied Professor X.

"Impossible? There is no such thing." Said Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom waved his hand and Professor X vanished into thin air. The Avengers, X-Men and the remaining heroes could only stare. Doctor Doom then gazed at Wanda Maximoff. She felt herself grow small under his stare.

"Wanda. The multiverse is on the brink of extinction. And you... you will give me the power I need to save it." Said Doctor Doom.

"Over my dead body!" I replied.

"As you wish." Said Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom then erased me from existence with a thought.

"Travis!!! No!!! What did you do?" Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"I'm sorry it has to be this way. But none of this will have happened after I reshape reality." Said Doctor Doom.

"Monster!!" Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"I remorsefully concur. Don't worry. I'll give you a fulfilling life in the new world. What if... you were married to Vision? Would be nice growing old with Vision instead of Scarlet WarIock wouldn't you agree?" Said Doctor Doom.

"What?" Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"But in order to give you that life, I'll have to take your red chaos magic first." Said Doctor Doom.

"No!" Replied Wanda Maximoff.

Wanda Maximoff poured every remaining ounce of red chaos magic into her body, her red chaos magic weaving through the heroes, they formed a unbreakable line against Doctor Doom.
