Marvel : Godly Lottery System

Chapter 407: Maximum off

Searching for an ancient magic capable of maintaining a Universal Omnipotence while keeping the original body unique.

At that time, for the first and only time, Zane intervened, skirting the rules to help King Arthur. He bestowed upon him the Sword in the Stone, which was eventually used by Arthur's descendants to rediscover the Starry Castle.

Later, after curing Roma's terminal illness, Zane found himself endlessly pestered by her.

After hearing this story, Zane secretly resolved to ensure that Lorna and others could also achieve a unique status in the Universal Omnipotence.

As the plane prepared for takeoff amidst the bustling crowd, Zane's companions now resembled ordinary humans.

Among them, Bastis had transformed into a sultry, dark-skinned young woman, exuding confidence and allure. Sitting beside her was Little Bone, who had taken on the appearance of a delicate, blonde young lady with flowing hair.

This transformation had a side effect—Jaspers' soul form, invisible to ordinary humans, floated around the cabin. It wandered persistently through the aisles, casting lustful glances at women of various skin tones who caught its eye.

Although some of the group felt awkward about the situation, they used their abilities to blend in as much as possible, disguising themselves as ordinary humans—a trivial feat for beings who had reached the seventh dimension.

The oddest among them, Rocket and Groot, adopted the most contrasting disguises. Rocket became a towering, muscular man dressed in black, wearing sunglasses, which unintentionally cleared out the nearby seats. Groot, on the other hand, transformed into an adorable young boy with large, innocent eyes, though a flash of malice in his gaze hinted at mischievous intentions.

Lorna, leaning on Zane's shoulder and gazing out of the window, asked softly, "Darling, how did you know that the one called Venom took Jaspers' body to faraway Egypt?"

"Was it the Phoenix Force on you?" she continued, recalling how Zane had revealed Venom's location right after the fiery, phoenix-like aura emerged from him.

"To be precise," Zane explained, holding Lorna's hand gently, "it was an upgraded skill from the Phoenix Force: Mind Spear."

"Much like Professor X, one of the leaders of the mutants on Earth in our universe" Zane elaborated, "this Mind Spear allows me to delve into the consciousness of humans on a planetary scale."

"With this ability, I scanned the entire planet, hoping to locate Jaspers, corrupted by Venom. But surprisingly, Mind Spear failed to pinpoint him."

"Instead, I stumbled upon something unexpected. For some reason, in just one day, nearly a hundred women had gone missing in Mediterranean coastal countries."

"By combining this with the areas not covered by Mind Spear, it was easy to deduce that Venom was in…"

"Faraway in Africa, Egypt," Zane said, "that's where Venom took Jaspers' body."

"But why did Venom run so far after corrupting Jaspers' body?" Lorna asked in confusion. "And why did he kidnap so many girls?"

Roma, who had been listening to their conversation, interjected, "Perhaps this universe's version of Venom already knew the Celestials were coming to wipe out Earth before it corrupted Jaspers."

"To avoid the extinction energy, it must have hidden in the ancient Egyptian pyramids, which are protected by the most mysterious forces on Earth," she continued. "As for why he took so many girls... I think it's simply because the host Venom attached itself to was—"

"—A degenerate beyond redemption," Zane finished for her, nodding.

Roma had explained before how Venom amplified the negative traits of its host, and Lorna agreed with a subtle nod. Her gaze followed Roma's disdainful glare to Jaspers' translucent soul form, which had once again begun its familiar antics.

This time, Jaspers extended both hands, inviting Bastis, who looked annoyed, and Little Bone, who appeared flustered, to dance.

Just as the plane was seconds from takeoff, a sudden whirlwind swept through the cabin. The group seated near Zane could feel the wind shift abruptly as it neared a flight attendant standing close to him.

In the farthest, most inconspicuous corner of the cabin, a previously empty seat was now occupied by a young man with silver hair, dressed in a FedEx uniform.

"Heh, as expected," Zane murmured under his breath, his Mangekyō Sharingan faintly glowing with red triangular patterns. "The ultimate truth in combat is speed."

'Speed really is the greatest weapon,' he mused, 'even someone approaching the speed of light forces me to use these eyes to track them.'

In truth, Zane understood that the man, nicknamed "Quicksilver," wasn't literally moving at or near the speed of light. Instead, his perception of time was significantly faster than everyone else's, making the world around him seem agonizingly slow. Conversely, to others, he appeared to move at the speed of light.

Having barely caught the flight in time, Quicksilver casually sat down, not even out of breath. He slowly pulled out his phone to check a message that read:

{Pietro Maximoff, come to Egypt immediately. Your sister, Wanda Maximoff, has mysteriously gone missing while studying here.}

Meanwhile, Bastis was still fuming after scolding Jaspers' soul form for its antics. The sudden whirlwind had messed up her neatly arranged bangs, adding to her irritation.
