Marvel DxD: The New Sorcerer Supreme

Chapter 14: Ch. 14 - Learning new spells!

"W-What spell did you use? Was that a healing spell?" I couldn't help but gawk at her, asking her questions to sate my curiosity.

"Oh that? It's just a simple healing spell unique to our family. Though it requires high level talent in water magic to cast it though. Aside from my mother and me, no one else could use such spell." Proudly raising her already 'proud' chest, Serafall bore a smug grin on her face.

I resisted the urge to ask her to teach me the spell when I quickly realized that asking for such thing was very rude, not to mention, this is a new world with new cultures. In my previous world, such thing was impolite and I'm sure the same culture goes here.

However, fate seems to have plans for me as Serafall's next words took me by surprise.

"Wanna learn it?" She grinned as soon as our eyes met.

"Can I?" A hopeful look appeared on my face.

"There's a condition first." That's when I first saw Serafall's 'devil' face as the grin on her face widened.

"And that is?" I gulped my saliva and replied. Hopefully, it wouldn't be that bad, right?

"It's not that hard, I just wished you could've stayed in the Underworld longer. Previously, we just left as soon as we visited Ajuka."

'I knew it.' The twitch on my lips depicts my reaction.

"So?" Noticing the twitch on my lips, Serafall thought my answer would be refusal.

That would've been the case but suddenly, I realized that I could also gain something out of this aside from just learning the healing spell.

"Say, you wouldn't mind if I visit your home's library? Just the ordinary section, though." Fearing that their library might have a forbidden section similar to the one in Kamar-Taj, I quickly cleared it up before it could escalate.

"Library? Are you sure? The last time I was there, there's nothing but books. And its boring!" Sticking her tongue out was enough to express her hate towards the library.

'Well, obviously it's called Library for a reason and If the sorcerers were to hear her calling a library that was possibly made by various devil authors and such being called as boring, no doubt even the Ancient One herself would strangle you with her necklace.' Of course he didn't dare saying this aloud. It being inside his head is already enough as it is.

"Since it's boring to you, then how about letting me borrow it during my stay, hmm?" I mustered my most 'cutest' smile that I could muster and flashed it in front of her, hoping it would add the chances of her agreeing.

"Hmm. Just the regular section, right?" When she said that, I nodded my head profusely as if I was a chicken pecking its head.

"Sure thing! I'm sure as long as I ask, my mom would agree." After saying that, a realization hit her.

"But…I would have to introduce you to mom and dad, is that fine with you?" She hesitantly asked, her eyes meeting mine, seeking for my reaction.

'Now that's troublesome. I have no idea who her parents are and how would they react about me. Should I keep my identity hidden?' After an entire minute of contemplation in which we decided to leave the room to let Belle, who has been between the both of us, have her well-deserved rest.

"…Can you give me like, an overview of what your parents are like?" I nervously chuckled.

This feels like something that came out of a couple's fantasies. The girl introducing her boyfriend to her parents and the said boyfriend becoming nervous.

"What are they like? Hmm, I mean, they're not that bad if you're thinking they are. Although Dad is strict and a devout follower of the Four Satans, Mom is quite the opposite and we both kind of share the same energy. Did I also mention Mom's stronger than my Dad?"

After getting the introduction of her parents, I sighed in relief. At least during the introduction, I should watch out when it comes to her Dad as for the mom, It'll be like dealing with an older version of Serafall, no biggie.

"Give me a few minutes to prepare. I'll tell Grandpa Rad and Tam about this."

***

After getting some time and using my portal to fetch Tam who is at the usual stables taking his job seriously, I told him about the update about her sister and his reaction is definitely out of expectation.

"Thank you so much, Master Chamber! You don't know what this means to me! My entire life, I owe it to you forever!" Kneeling in front of me, Tam was about to got further and kowtow on the ground before I managed to stop him.

"Tam, Tam, get up. I appreciate the appreciation but this is not how you show one. Look, you already offered your personal services to me and that itself is enough."

Patting himself on the shoulder, I gave him a soft smile before shifting my attention to her sister, who now looks better than before, at least she doesn't have that sickly appearance anymore and now looks more like a normal person who didn't get sick for almost an entire month.

"Now, I'll be leaving for a few days or weeks. I want you both to behave and stay with Grandpa Rad for a while, okay?" Ruffling his hair, I crouched in front of Tam and gave him something that belonged to me.

A Sling Ring.

As for why I'm giving this to him? You see, its pretty normal for some sorcerers to defect from Kamar-Taj and most of the time, some of my missions with my former master, Kaecilius, included hunting down these sorcerers and placing them behind bars that were made for them.

As for my spoils of victory? Sling Rings.

I have at least 5 more Sling Rings so giving one to Tam won't hurt and if I have the knowledge and time, I might create similar rings in the future.

"This? What is this, Master Chamber?" Staring down at the Sling Ring on his palm, Tam raised his big and round curious eyes towards me.

"Tam, the moment we met, I could sense the immense magical potential you have. I believe that without me teaching you, you'd be able to draw a portal using this ring. It's called a Sling Ring and you can use this to make portals that will lead you to places you want to be." To show him an example, I wore my sling ring and instructed him the basics of it such as imagining the place and the gesture.

Seeing the circular portal in front of him not only shocked Belle on the side but also Serafall who has been watching our interaction.

"I-I can do that, Master Chamber?" Tam's shivering finger pointed at the portal and asked as if he couldn't believe it.

"Of course, you can! I believe in you!" Patting his head again, I then continued, explaining the reason why I gave him such thing.

"When you're in danger, I want you to use this and try to get to a safe place, okay?" After receiving a determined nod from him, I smiled and finally left the siblings alone.

As for me, I went outside with Serafall where we met with Rad, who just got back.

Rad's eyes widened in surprise upon seeing me and Serafall.

"Kid! You've been just here a month and you already got yourself a fine lady? Talk about having a bright youth!" Rad laughed out loud, making Serafall blush in embarrassment.

As for me, I simply shook my head at the old man, knowing what his intentions are.

"Old man, I'll be leaving for a while." I casually said, watching as Rad rolled his eyes and replied.

"So you're already bagging the lady? Isn't it a bit early."

Okay, that's it. My next reply was a simple goodbye before dragging Serafall into a secluded area to initiate the teleportation spell.

Once again, my entire being was baptized and bathed into the light of the teleportation spell, not ceasing to amaze me.

I should definitely ask her how to learn it. No way I'm passing on this convenient spell.

A few seconds later, I'm once again, in the atmosphere of the Underword.

Why does my body, for some reason, miss this? That's weird, is it because my body is entirely devil now? Or does Devil Energy have something to do with it? Food for thought.

"So we're back to your clan's territory?"

"Yes, more specifically, back at my house itself." Now that she said that, I took a look at my surroundings and noticed that we're actually in the library!

How awesome is that!

"So what's next?" I nervously asked, knowing what was about to come next.

"Time for you to meet my parents! Oh by the way, how should I introduce you?"

You're only asking that now?

"Just a normal devil you met on the way. I don't belong to any clans or something. An orphan devil perhaps? Do orphans as devils exist?" I asked and she thought about for a few moments before nodding her head.

"Since we're at war, many devils became orphaned when their parents died on the battle, we can use that excuse." With that, I sighed the relief that I've been holding back for way to long.

"Good. Thank Go-the devil." Correcting myself lest I expose that I just got God as my backer, I coughed.

"Anyways, whenever you're ready." Nodding my head, we both went outside the library, casting a longing and desiring look towards the books on each shelves.

Once we got out, we immediately met someone with a striking beauty, black hair that is tied to a bun, wearing regal robes fitting for a royal Queen.

"Sera? I sensed your arrival. Its good to have you back. I received the reports of your mission on Jerusalem, I can't believe they brought my baby to such vile place!" Hugging Serafall, I watched as her face fell onto her mother's bosoms that doesn't lose to Sera's

What's with this family? Don't tell me the dad also have big-

"And you are?" After giving her daughter a 'big' hug, Sera's mother finally turned her attention to me, a stranger.

"My name is Chamber, madam." Bowing my head in respect, I waited for Serafall to introduce who I am and how we met.

"She's Chamber, mama. We met during the mission and he was part of our team. He took a magic bullet on the chest for me, saving my life!"

Wait what? That's not part of what we talked about.

A look of realization and gratitude filled her Serafall's mom's face.

"Oh! What a hero we have here! You saved my daughter from such danger! Are you here for a reward?" She asked.

"No mom! He's here as my new friend!" Serafall interrupted and smiled.

"Oh! A new friend? So I assume Ajuka will no longer complain to me about you annoying him?" She smiled, making Serafall boys in embarrassment.

"I'm not that annoying mom!" She pouted.

However, the looks that both me and her mom gave her made Serafall blush again.

"Come on now, Sera. How about we invite this friend of yours to a dinner? The chefs just cooked your favorite. How coincidental, am I right?" Ignoring the strange glint that went past Sera's mom's eyes, I was now curious what kind of foods devils eat?

Human flesh maybe? Hopefully not so.

"Oh and by the way, my name is Emilea Sitri, the lady of this household, it's nice to meet you, Chamber." Finally, she introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you also, Ma'am Sitri." I bowed my head once again.

"Well, drop the formalities, you're Sera's friend, so his about calling me mom too?"

"Mom!"

After arguing between each other, the mother-daughter finally calmed down.

As for me? I could already imagine the spells I'll soon learn in this world!
