"You should know that the energy within you is a very peculiar force," Odin began. "It possesses great adaptability. It can evolve into any kind of energy while also being capable of consuming all forms of power, including that of the Power Stone."
Arthur looked at Odin and asked, "So?"
"So, I temporarily enhanced this characteristic of yours and let it absorb the Power Stone's energy. Not only will this turn the Power Stone into your 'nourishment,' but the dissipated energy will also further strengthen your physical structure. Ideally, it will endow you with subtle traits that you can explore gradually."
Odin smiled lightly. "Although the process was somewhat dangerous, the result is just as I anticipated."
Arthur's lips twitched. "What did you anticipate?"
"Your transformation from danger to safety," Odin replied. "Remember, I mentioned that you are favored by fate."
"Does that mean I can recklessly endanger myself without dying?" Arthur looked at Odin in confusion. "So, was what just happened actually very dangerous?"
"It was dangerous, but I was here," Odin said. "Of course, that doesn't negate the inherent danger. But for you, any danger can ultimately be overcome easily."
"Great, so I'm like a protagonist in a TV show, free to flirt with any girl without worrying about being beaten to death by her father or husband."
Arthur nodded with satisfaction.
Odin pondered for a moment and said, "Well, you might actually be beaten to death."
"So, the halo effect is still limited, right?" Arthur shrugged. "If I were to try swimming in lava, I'd probably... still have a hard time surviving."
"Why not give it a try?" Odin suggested. "I'm curious to see if your body's resilience can handle it. I don't think it would be a problem."
"..." Arthur stared in disbelief. "Let's not do that!"
"Alright then, perhaps you should go and see Thor now," Odin said. "Thor has returned with Loki while you were integrating the Power Stone's energy."
"That's good news," Arthur said. "I've really missed him."
…
…
The two of them left the room and appeared directly in the grand hall of the palace.
Thor, holding his hammer, was lounging idly. Upon seeing them, he quickly got up to salute Odin and then immediately embraced Arthur, giving him a hearty couple of thumps on the back.
Arthur could genuinely feel the immense boost to his physicality. Otherwise, Thor's blunt punches would have surely left him bleeding, but now, he felt perfectly fine!
"It's great to see you alive my friend, despite the projections my father showed confirming your survival. There's nothing more exciting than seeing you with my own eyes."
Thor looked at Arthur with enthusiasm. "In fact, if it weren't for those projections, the strongest superhero alliance on Earth might have become the most terrifying killers and assassins. After the portal was closed and you were left in the universe, they almost went after those damned… Congressmen? I think that's what they're called…"
"Impulsive, indeed," Arthur nodded. "How are they doing now?"
"After learning that you are safe in the realm of Asgard, their emotions have been temporarily calmed," Thor said. "But they still seem not to fully believe that you're alive, so if possible, they hope you can return soon, at least to show your face and prove that you're still alive."
Hearing this, Arthur looked at Odin.
Odin said, "You still have many lessons to follow with Frigga. Don't consider going back anytime soon."
Arthur helplessly told Thor, "It seems I'm stuck here for now, focusing on studying and improving every day."
Thor's expression was somewhat stunned. "You are studying with Mother? Believe me, it's an incredible opportunity. In fact, if I weren't so uninterested in magic, I'd also love to study with her."
"You can always come to me for related knowledge," Frigga said, appearing behind Thor without Arthur noticing.
Thor, upon hearing this, immediately recoiled and hurriedly shook his head. "Father, I think I should go and rest for a bit…"
Before Odin could respond, Thor had already dashed off.
Seeing Thor's behavior, Arthur remarked, "He's as mischievous as a thousand-year-old child…"
"Every time he's asked to study magic, he always reacts this way," Frigga said, turning to Arthur. "Congratulations. You seem to be in good shape now. Starting tomorrow, we should reorganize the application of the spatial energy within you. This is a significant topic, so you need to be mentally prepared."
Arthur's expression became serious. "Of course!"
In fact, despite only having been two days, Arthur had developed a deep respect for the queen's extensive knowledge of magic.
She had unique insights into magic and energy that often enlightened Arthur in unexpected ways.
Her teaching style, however, was different from the Ancient One's.
The Ancient One's approach was more free-form, providing a main line of guidance and leaving the rest to the student to discover, pointing out directions but ultimately allowing freedom.
Frigga's approach, on the other hand, was more structured and precise. Everything had to follow her prescribed steps. When to take which step and what achievements to reach had to align with her method.
It's hard to differentiate the superiority of these two methods. To Arthur, all knowledge naturally took on different forms and combinations in his mind.
Learning is always beneficial.
The Ancient One's method might offer endless possibilities and a vast future but could also lead to endless wandering and confusion.
Frigga's method, with its step-by-step approach, provided a clear path, and whether one could reach the pinnacle or step beyond that path depended on the student's own efforts.
As Arthur was contemplating these things, Odin had already taken an object from Frigga and said to Arthur, "Aren't you going to come and take a look at this?"
Arthur turned around, his lips twitching.
The Tesseract!
Looking at the blue cube in Odin's hand, Arthur sighed softly. "It feels like I've been entangled with this thing for a long time."
