Garus realized that this event might not be entirely bad for him. Though it might spark opposition online, with certain groups or individuals rising against him, he didn't care. What truly mattered was that the mutant children would likely be even more grateful to him after this.

As Garus approached Wanda's room, he saw Xerion helping his mother walk out slowly.

Garus asked, "Is your mother's illness cured?"

Looking up and recognizing Garus, Xerion responded with gratitude, "Thank you, Principal Garus. My mother's illness… no, her curse has been lifted."

"Curse?" Garus frowned. "Who would place a curse on your mother?"

Xerion shook his head. "I don't know."

This perplexed him as well. His mother didn't seem to have any enemies.

Garus noticed Xerion's mother hesitating, as though hiding something, but he decided not to pry—it was a family matter, and he wasn't interested.

Before reaching his own room, Garus saw Logan rushing toward him from a distance, looking excited.

Logan said, "Garus, I might be leaving soon."

"Where to?" Garus asked curiously. In this world, where else could Logan possibly go?

Logan explained, "Charles reached out to me. I have to return. That world is heading toward destruction, and only I can go back in time to save it."

Garus understood. Logan referred to the world destroyed by Sentinel robots. If Logan had a way to return, Garus wouldn't stop him. While it was a pity, Garus could only nod. "Alright. When are you leaving?"

"As soon as Charles opens the space portal," Logan replied. Despite spending over a year in this world, Logan felt reluctant to leave the mutant students behind.

Garus recalled Xerion's earlier vision of Logan returning to his world. It seemed to be coming true. However, that world wasn't unfolding according to the events of Days of Future Past. What if something went wrong? With the overwhelming tide of Sentinels, survival seemed impossible.

[New System Task Released: Difficulty S. Objective: Lead your Death Knight forces and follow Logan to the Sentinel-destroyed world. Resolve their crisis. Reward: 100,000 Exchange Points.]

The system was urging Garus to go, but how could he return to this world afterward? He couldn't abandon the mutant academy and Azeroth Technology Company he had established here.

As if sensing his hesitation, the system added,

[The host's previous traversal through Exo-Space* destabilized the barrier between parallel universes. Now, the host can use the Death Gate to travel between worlds. However, the portal can only stay open for 10 seconds when the host is at full strength.]

If he could return, then there was no problem.

Watching Logan walk away, Garus called out, "Logan, wait! I'm coming with you."

Logan stopped, puzzled. "Can you leave everything behind here? If you go, you might not be able to return."

Logan hoped for Garus' help but understood the attachments Garus had in this world.

"Don't worry. I have a way to return. Give me a moment to prepare. Let's meet at the control center."

Garus opened a Death Gate. He planned to bring Kingpin and Abomination with him into the other parallel universe.

At that moment, another thought struck him. What about the time difference between the two universes? Logan had been in this world for over a year. By that measure, the other universe's Professor Charles and his team might have already perished without Logan.

"Forget it," he muttered. "No point dwelling on things I can't change."

Meanwhile, in the other universe, Professor Charles Xavier had left a psychic imprint on Logan before his consciousness returned to his original world.

Seeing everyone's eyes on him, Charles announced, "I've contacted Logan. He is indeed in another world. We need to open a portal to bring him back."

Blink spoke up, "Professor, my powers can only open portals within a few meters. Creating a gateway between universes is beyond me."

Charles nodded. "I've considered that. While searching for Logan, I discovered a fractured space. It's through that rift that I found him. If we go there, it might work."

Everyone agreed to try.

They boarded the Blackbird jet. Guided by Charles, Storm piloted the jet toward a temple on a mountain in the northwest.

When Kitty arrived at the familiar location, she spotted a helmet on the ground. It was the same Judgement Helm that had fallen from the spatial rift during their last encounter.

Charles picked up the helmet, lost in thought.

After examining the spatial rift Charles mentioned, Blink shook her head. "The space here is indeed fragile, but my powers still can't open it."

Charles turned to Bishop. "Lucas, can you channel everyone's energy and convert it into spatial energy to open a portal?"

Understanding Charles' suggestion, Lucas nodded. His ability allowed him to absorb any form of energy and convert it.

"I'll give it a try," Lucas said. He had previously absorbed Blink's spatial energy to open portals, though only short-range ones.

"Ready." Lucas steadied himself and raised his energy weapon, aiming at the rift.

Storm's lightning, Pyro's fire, Magneto's magnetic fields, Iceman's frost, and Blink's spatial energy poured into Lucas.

Bathed in a crimson glow, Lucas gritted his teeth as Kitty yelled, "Lucas, are you okay?"

"Just a little more!" Lucas endured the immense energy threatening to tear his body apart.

"It's enough!" Lucas shouted. The energy surged into his weapon, releasing a purple beam that tore open a portal in front of them.

On the other side stood Logan and Garus, ready and waiting.

"The portal is open! Move!" Logan exclaimed, relieved that Charles had found a way.

Garus, Kingpin, and Abomination followed closely behind.

"Garus!" A voice called out. Someone darted forward, rushing through the portal just before it closed.

[TL/N: It was previously translated as Zero Space, however, after researching a bit, I found out that it was Exo-Space also known as Null Space and is the space found between realities.]
