Marvel 1919 : Rise of an Empire

Chapter 163: Superman's Bloodline

After George infused energy into the process, a brilliant red crystal materialized in his palm.

"Superman's Bloodline" was a one-time item. After fusion, it could grant ordinary people the same bloodline abilities as Superman himself.

However, Superman's Bloodline differed from a standard Kryptonian Bloodline. Kryptonians born from the Genesis Chamber's Creation Codex carried genetic defects. Their social roles were predetermined from birth.

Before they drew their first breath, they already bore a clear designation. They could only become a specific type of person in the future, rather than choosing their own path.

Superman's genes had never been modified by the Creation Codex. He remained a natural life form, which meant Superman possessed infinite potential and freedom.

The "Superman's Bloodline" George had obtained had undergone modifications after consuming enormous energy.

First, regarding energy absorption: previously, Superman's Bloodline could only absorb and store energy from yellow suns. Now, George's version could absorb all forms of external energy without limitation.

Second, the original weakness to Kryptonite had been completely eliminated.

George directly integrated this bloodline into himself. Instantly, overwhelming power flooded through his entire body.

George returned to the outside world and arrived on Ancient Star to test his abilities.

Whoosh!!!

He rubbed his eyes vigorously, feeling as though they were on fire. The invisible contact lenses that concealed his eyes instantly vaporized under the intense heat.

Is this the Superman version of heat vision?

George suddenly opened his eyes wide. Scorching crimson beams swept across the landscape, instantly slicing through a mountain several hundred meters away, cutting it diagonally into two perfect sections.

He eagerly jumped twice, then began experimenting freely in the area. He reveled in the power of his Steel Body, Bio-Electric Aura, Super Speed, Super Strength, Super Hearing, Telescopic Vision, and Freeze Breath.

Every cell in his body felt more active than ever before.

Emmmmm... he suddenly felt a pang of regret.

Supermen across different iterations and timelines possessed vastly different power levels.

Beings like Thought Robot Superman and Golden Superman could create life, alter reality at will, travel through time effortlessly, and manipulate entire universes like marbles. They operated at least at Multiverse-level strength.

The slightly less powerful Silver Age Superman could break the time barrier with his flight speed alone. He could extinguish entire stars with a single sneeze and drag planets the size of Jupiter through the cosmos using nothing but chains.

However, the Superman powers he had now obtained were merely those of a standard, modern Superman. If one only considered movie-level feats, a normal Superman was only marginally stronger than Captain Marvel.

Moreover, George had already acquired most of these abilities through other means.

Regarding energy absorption, George could already absorb various forms of energy. He had also obtained the Kree Empire's Quantum Bands, which were specialized equipment designed to absorb energy and convert it into personal enhancement.

However, Superman's Bloodline wasn't entirely redundant. At the very least, it had opened up new upper limits for his physical enhancement potential.

Unlike a normal Superman, he could still travel through worlds and break temporal barriers. These capabilities set him apart from standard Kryptonian abilities.

Considering that this DC timeline would soon usher in a major cosmic war, George knew he must be fully prepared. He needed both personal power and available manpower.

Ten thousand Qiongqi warriors, ten thousand Xingtian soldiers, five thousand advanced armed robots, and ten thousand NS-5 Robots comprised his army. George had also brought along the modified Flying Fox spacecraft, along with ammunition supplies and support equipment.

DC "Justice League" Timeline

Superman had departed from the world, and the entire planet was plunged into mourning. However, the world had not found peace in his absence.

Evil forces were stirring in the shadows, and crime rates were rising dramatically across all major cities. Even worse, a terrible threat from ancient times was gradually approaching Earth once more.

Long ago, the Atlanteans, Amazonians, and the Old Gods had united their forces against the evil conqueror Steppenwolf. After a hard-fought struggle that nearly destroyed all three civilizations, Steppenwolf was finally defeated and forced into exile across the cosmos.

The three Mother Boxes he had left behind on Earth were subsequently guarded by the Atlanteans, Amazonians, and ordinary humans respectively. Each civilization sworn to prevent their reunification.

Now Steppenwolf had returned with a vengeance, and Earth found itself shrouded beneath an evil shadow of impending doom.

At this critical juncture, Wonder Woman Diana Prince, Batman Bruce Wayne, Aquaman Arthur Curry, the Flash Barry Allen, and Cyborg Victor Stone had begun to come together.

They would form the Justice League and wage a desperate battle against Steppenwolf's advancing parademonic army...

George strolled casually through the bustling streets of London, taking in the sights and sounds of this version of Earth.

If someone were to ask what force was most powerful in the DC Universe, the answer would undoubtedly be timeline resets and reality alterations. Consequently, there were always differences between each timeline and iteration.

In the current timeline George now found himself within, the Flash who wielded the Speed Force was not the same individual as the Flash who had appeared in "Suicide Squad."

However, George had already prepared himself for such discrepancies.

Originally, upon arriving in this dimensional plane, George had planned to seek out Batman first. He was more familiar with the Dark Knight's methods and personality.

But after checking through the Orwell Group's network systems, he discovered that Wayne Enterprises' CEO Bruce Wayne was currently on an extended vacation. He was not present in Gotham City.

George correctly surmised that Bruce was likely busy scouring the world in search of individuals suitable for recruitment into his planned Justice League.

Fortunately, there was another person who would be easier to locate: Wonder Woman Diana Prince.

Extending his enhanced perception abilities across the city, George detected a distinctly powerful Bio-Electric Aura. It was emanating from the vicinity of a large public statue.

Just as George was preparing to teleport directly to that location, he detected signs of a terrorist attack unfolding on the second floor of a nearby building complex.

Wonder Woman quickly rushed to the active crime scene, her golden Lasso of Truth gleaming at her side.

After Diana burst through the building's entrance, she immediately seized the opportunity to capture one of the armed robbers with her enchanted Lasso of Truth. She intended to interrogate him for crucial information.

"Who are you? The Lasso of Truth compels you to speak only the truth. Who are you people, and what is your purpose here?" Diana demanded, holding the struggling criminal firmly with one hand.

"We are a cell of international terrorists whose ultimate goal is to set all of Europe back a thousand years technologically and socially," the terrorist confessed honestly. His will was completely overwhelmed by the lasso's mystical compulsion to speak truth.

"How tediously predictable. Why are you taking these innocent people hostage?" Diana continued her interrogation.

"We have no specific demands or negotiations planned. We are merely delaying the local police response before we execute our primary objective," the robber answered with complete honesty, unable to resist the lasso's power.

"Isn't it rather obvious? They intend to create a massive explosion," George interjected suddenly, materializing at that precise moment to answer on behalf of the captured terrorist.

Diana instantly shifted into a defensive stance, her warrior instincts flaring: "Who are you? How did you get in here?"

"We can discuss introductions later. It appears that time is rapidly running out," George replied calmly, pointing toward the main hall area nearby.

"Hehe, you're all far too late to stop us now. The countdown sequence has already begun its final phase. In just a few minutes, the four surrounding city blocks will go bang! The entire world will witness our message!" The terrorist, still bound helplessly by the Lasso of Truth, continued to answer Diana's questions with brutal honesty.

After delivering a swift knockout blow to silence the robber, Diana chose to ignore George's presence. She leaped directly through the corridor opening, rushing toward the main hall at maximum speed.

"Wait, you should—" George called out, intending to coordinate their efforts, but Diana had already disappeared around the corner.

George abandoned his playful mood entirely. He instantly teleported next to the terrified group of hostages and raised his hand to establish a protective defensive barrier around them.

Bang!

Diana burst directly through the main hall's entrance. Shattered glass and door fragments scattered in all directions throughout the space.

The remaining robbers were visibly startled by her dramatic entrance. At that moment, no one except a small girl standing close to George had noticed his quiet arrival.

The terrorists, realizing their situation had drastically changed, immediately raised their semi-automatic rifles and opened fire directly at Diana's position.

"Bang bang bang!"

Diana effortlessly dodged the incoming bullets with fluid grace. She then swiftly neutralized all the terrorists within the next five seconds using her superior combat skills.

George remained far from idle during this brief timeframe. He instantly teleported next to the planted explosives and grabbed hold of the terrorist cell's leader.

With another precise teleport, George materialized high above London's skyline. The terrorist leader, who had only just realized what was happening to him, never expected to find himself suspended in midair.

He screamed in absolute terror, his distinctive black top hat blown away by the fierce high-altitude winds.

George calmly attached the explosive device directly to the man's vest. He offered him a friendly smile and wave goodbye, then teleported safely back into the building's main hall.

BANG!

A tremendous explosion erupted high over London's cityscape, far from any civilian populations.

"Are you some type of magic user?" Diana asked, observing the shimmering defensive barrier that George had erected around the hostages.

"Something along those lines, yes," George replied casually as he dismissed the protective barrier with a gesture.
