Wang Feng read the description, focusing more on the grade of the tome. 'hmm, it seems justified. That Demon God Clone was only at the Saint King Realm before dying. Also it was shown in the novel that an Origin King was able to sense and force it out of Yang Kai, so it's grade was definitely lower than Origin King Grade.'

Wang Feng shook off the distracting thoughts before focusing on the tome. He bit his thumb and dropped a few drops of blood on it. Unfortunately, There was no reaction, causing Wang Feng's eyes to widen.

"What!? Why isn't it working!?.... Oh..", just as Wang Feng was about to go in panic mode, he suddenly remembered the description of the tome. "If it's a soul stone, then..."

Wang Feng raised the book to his forehead and closed his eyes, focusing on 'connecting' with the book.

After an unknown amount of time, the blood on the 'stone' was suddenly absorbed and the 'stone' released slight waves of golden light that entered Wang Feng's mind and the 'stone' in Wang Feng's hand suddenly shifted and disappeared from his hand. Wang Feng instantly opened his eyes with a grin on his face, he had succeeded.

He willed the Tome to appear in his hand. This time, what appeared in front of him wasn't the same rough black 'stone', but a completely black 'book' made of pieces of stone slates.

'Finally. The golden skeleton, that incense burner, the Myriad Drug Pond's key and most of all the 'Demon Eye of Annihilation' are all within grasp.', Wang Feng thought contently.

All the things he had mentioned were something that would be essential to his early growth and foundation, so he felt a bit at peace with all these things within his hands.

After that Wang Feng meditated for an hour, to prepare himself for what was about to come. After he believed he was fully ready, he opened the black book.

As he did, he found the 1st page blank, but suddenly Golden Words started to appear on the page, the words excluded a malevolent aura. 'well, here it comes.' Wang Feng thought as he read the words that stated:

Wang Feng gulped as he read the words, feeling the aura from the words making his soul shiver. The next second, the words glowed brightly, causing Wang Feng to grunt and let go of the book, causing it to land on the ground.

A few seconds later, the light died down. "Damn that was bright.", Wang Feng opened his eyes slowly and intending to look at the book. But he stopped midway because as soon as he opened his eyes, he saw a golden skeleton floating in front of him, just above the black book.

As soon as Wang Feng's eyes landed on the ominous looking golden skeleton, he started hearing strange voices in his mind that immediately started making his fear and anger rise, he felt as if the skeleton was berating and provoking him.

He tried to ignore the voices as he knew they were the skeleton's attempts to make his mind muddled. But, within a few seconds, his anger increased by a lot, even turning his fear into boiling anger. His mind started getting fuzzy as he shouted at the skeleton.

"What do you mean that I am pathetic huh!!!? Who do you think you are!!!? You're nothing but a skeleton of a clone!! Your pathetic!! Your ...!!!!", because of the anger and fuzzy feeling in his mind, Wang Feng lost his control and showed a moment of weakness in his mental state.

The skeleton took advantage of it and just as Wang Feng was speaking, the skeleton moved forward and collided into him, but it didn't really collide with him, it instead entered his body.

*Arggghhhhhhhhh*

Instantly, Wang Feng's eyes opened wide, his pupils dilated, his mouth opened, his back bended backwards as he fell to the ground, his fists clinched tightly, even drawing blood, his muscles contacted, his veins swelled and became visible.

"*Arghhghh* ....*arghhghh* ...*mmpphhhhh*...", Wang Feng twisted and turned on the floor, his body felt as if it was on fire. But in that state, the fuzziness from his brain got completely drained, making him try to endure the pain instead of shouting loudly which could attract the desciples in the nearby cabins.

Time stretched on and on, Wang Feng controlled himself for screaming for a few minutes before the pain increased, causing him to start screaming again, thought in much low tone than in the beginning.

As time passed, he started to feel a tearing pain from the inside, but it didn't came from his body, the feeling came from much deeper.

This tearing pain made him feel nauseous and he felt his vision darkening. This terrified him. He somehow knew that if his vision went completely blank ... He would die.

So he resisted, forcing himself to focus. He bit his lips, drawing blood, this time focused more on keeping himself conscious than on his screams. His eyes bloodshoted, color drained from his face as he endured the soul searing pain.

A few minutes passed and Wang Feng's consciousness was now hanging just by a thread. Just as he was about to fall completely unconscious, memories of the massacre of his village flashed through his eyes.

Faces of his mother and father, the moment of their deaths and the promise he made to them on their graves, all flashed through his mind.

'Noo!!! I WILL NOT FALL HERE!! I WILL SURVIVE AND BECOME THE STRONGEST!!!', remembering all those memories gave Wang Feng, who was just about to give in, feel an explosion go off in his mind, which gave him a renewed sense of vigour.

His mind suddenly became clear and he felt that changed but couldn't tell what, "*ghhh* *grinddd*", Wang Feng struggled to sit up, grinding his teeth. "*Haah* *haah* you shitty skeleton, come on! Do your worse!", Wang Feng taunted the skeleton, his determination burning brighter than the sun.

As if in response to his provocative, a loud screech echoed in his mind. But just as Wang Feng was preparing himself for an increase in pain, the previous pain in his body and the dulling feeling in his mind all just suddenly disappeared.

Wang Feng blinked, then blinked again. "The heck? .... *Haah* I should just be glad that it's finished.", Wang Feng talked to himself after thinking about it for a second.

"*Uhmmmm* well, at least all that pain was worth it.", Wang Feng stretched his sore and weak body, feeling satisfied with the rewards. He then stood up and cooked some food for himself, nothing too fancy, just a few bowls of rice with cooked marinated meat.

His already big appetite, curtsy of his cultivation, was enhanced because of the energy his body had consumed during the absorption of the golden skeleton.

"*Burp* that hit the spot.", Wang Feng exhaled a satisfied burp after he finished eating. He then sat down on his bed and summoned the Demon Mystic Tome.

"Now, let's see the other things you hold.", Wang Feng spoke as he opened the book again. The first page that held the skeleton was now empty, so Wang Feng turned to the second page.

When he opened the second page, a light shot out of it and entered his mind, causing a stream of information to be poured into his mind. For a minute, Wang Feng closed his eyes to analyze the information that was about a body tempering technique, the 'Tempered Body Record'.

"Hmm... It's the same as I had thought.", Wang Feng spoke to himself after analyzing the technique. During his enlightenment state, his perception had somehow mixed with the very essence of the 3000 worlds and so he had glimpsed on many secrets and techniques.

Now although he had lost most of those secrets and techniques, he had still incorporated many of them in his own techniques or cultivation system, which included this very technique the tome had transmitted to him.

This 'Tempered Body Record' contains the methods to cultivate a Tempered Body with the Golden Skeleton as a base.

On the other hand, the Wang Feng's 'Basic Body Forging Technique' used a similar but different method. Although it was named 'Basic', it was not literally that.The technique would strengthen it's user's body and unearth all of his talent for smoother cultivation in the future.
