Chapter 570: Untrained Death Apostle

"I can't control it."

Amen said, looking at the red flask in nervousness, and cold sweat ran down his back as if he lost this red flask; his hopes of a cure would be crushed.

"Can't control it? Everyone dies around you, huh? If so, why the hell did you come to a populated city?"

Kiernan asked angrily.

"I had to. Only way I can be cured is with that thing in your hands. I've been looking for that anywhere, but I finally found it here."

Amen said.

"If you get cured, will this death curse also be cured?"

Kiernan asked.

"…I don't know."

Amen said.

"Can you remove it now?"

Kiernan asked.

"…No."

Amen said.

"Why not?"

"I cannot control it. I never had anyone to teach me how to control it. If I don't drink that cure, I will unwillingly keep doing it, and many more will die."

Amen said.

"…You better learn to control it then and make a way to remove the death curse."

Kiernan said.

"I have been trying, and I can't do it!"

Amen screamed.

With a scoff, Kiernan tossed the red flask into the air, shocking Amen, and then it vanished into the safety of his inventory.

However, Amen had no idea where it disappeared.

"Where did it go? Give it to me!"

Amen screamed, jumped, and tackled Kiernan across the room and into the wall of the dungeon.

THWACK!

"Urgh!"

Kiernan elbowed Amen in the back and sent him crashing into the ground.

'I am confused about his martial arts rank right now. I can harm him, but with his death powers, he can kill anyone he wishes, but his physical prowess is lacking greatly.'

"Argh!"

Amen lifted his head and touched Kiernan in the leg with the death touch.

"You'll die in seconds unless I stop touching you. Give me the cure!"

He screamed.

"…I don't feel anything, though."

Kiernan whipped his feet across Amen's face and sent him flying to the ends of the boss room.

With a bloodied nose, Amen looked at the ceiling with a dazed look, looked at the red blood in his hand, and whispered.

"…How are you not dead? You should be coughing blood, bleating like a goat, or at least something, but nothing…"

He couldn't understand how nothing was happening. It was the first time that it was happening.

Everyone else had always died whenever he wanted to kill them, but most of the time, whenever he didn't want to.

At that moment, Kiernan came falling towards him, his fist swung way back, and then he brought his fist down.

"Iron Smash!"

The fist landed against Amen's chest, and as if something exploded, a bubble of impact burst outwards.

"Ah…"

Amen's chest splattered with blood, his eyes shook, and then, his eyes turned dark like death.

In his ribs, a few turned black, and they turned into long lances that shot through the air towards Kiernan.

Kiernan didn't expect that, and thus, one of the lances pierced through his waist, and the other went through his right shoulder.

"Argh…"

He got sent flying backwards and landed on the hard ground with a loud thud.

Amen pulled out a rib bone from his chest, turned it into a black sword, and stabbed it into the ground.

"Death Council."

The walls of the boss room turned black, and an outdoor-circled stone table appeared in the middle of the room.

In the stone thrones, about thirty of them, skeletons of death appeared with swords in hand, and they were stomping their feet as they chanted in unison.

"Death! Death! Death! Death!"

"Tight Binding…"

Kiernan rubbed his shoulders, tightened the wounds till they closed, and then jumped on top of the circular stone table.

The skeletons looked at him and kept chanting death, but they weren't making a move on him, and then Amen stood on top of the table across from him.

"…You've been touched by death before, haven't you? Perhaps that's why my abilities are not working on you."

Amen said coldly.

Kiernan pulled out the red flask from his inventory, tossed it on top of his hand, and saw Amen flinching at the sight of it.

The flask was a fragile thing. It was made of glass.

"I will make a call, and you will sit still and do nothing."

Kiernan said, stored the red flask back inside his inventory, and he quickly made a call to Old King.

It rang for a moment until it connected.

"…Hello?"

Pankratios' old voice came from the other side of the phone.

"I have a death apostle with me. Is it possible for him to remove the death curse?"

"…How do you… Never mind. In theory, yes, since they cursed the city in the first place. They just have to cleanse the city."

Kiernan put the phone on the speaker so Amen could hear, and he silently looked at the phone.

"…I don't know how to do that."

Amen said.

"…Untrained Death Apostle. A natural disaster in flesh. What was your family thinking to let you roam free without supervision?"

Pankratios asked.

"…I don't know who my family is."

Amen said.

"…You're of the Einhorn family, correct?"

"I don't know. My mother raised me alone."

"…Unbelievable. Your father is truly a foolish man to make a child for an outsider, who has no idea what a death apostle is. What was he thinking?"

Pankratios said in shock.

'By the sound of it, a member of the Einhorn family, who is also a death apostle, went and put a baby into the stomach of a woman and didn't stay behind to teach her about death apostles.

'I don't think the Einhorn family is inbreeding, but they get married to people close to their family who know of their situation.

'Whoever is this guy's father is truly a foolish man to create a weapon of mass destruction without any supervision. Unless he didn't know, but that's even worse.'

Kiernan thought.

"…You need to reverse the death energy and let it flow through Rodero. It should be enough to clean the city of the curse."

Pankratios said.
