Martial Arts Overlord

Chapter 245: A Catastrophe of Immense Proportions

WHOOSH!

In the pitch-black night, a figure glided through the mountains. Ten dragon-shaped air currents surged and rolled around him. From a distance, it looked as though he were treading on dragons as he flew. His speed was ghostly, covering hundreds of meters in the blink of an eye.

This figure was Luo Feng.

After leaving Giant Stone City, Luo Feng had rushed towards Yunlan Peak through the night and had now reached its outskirts.

Luo Feng slowed down, descending from mid-air to the ground.

HUFF.

Exhaling a breath of turbid air, Luo Feng took a pill from his storage ring to restore his Yuan Qi and looked ahead.

The sky was faintly lit; it was already dawn.

I should be near.

Calculating the distance in his mind, Luo Feng muttered to himself before striding quickly forward.

He was nearing Yunlan Peak. Continuing to use the Teng Dragon's Step would be too conspicuous. Having just experienced the incident at Green Wood Trading Co., Luo Feng did not want to attract any more attention.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH...

Not long after he started walking, as he passed through a mountain col, sharp whistling sounds suddenly erupted from the messy grass on both sides as over a dozen figures leaped out.

"Stop!"

More than ten men, wielding weapons, rushed before Luo Feng, blocking his path.

Luo Feng had already sensed their presence and wasn't surprised. He stopped and squinted at the newcomers.

These men were burly, their eyes glinting like a tiger's. Their temples bulged high—clear signs that they were Martial Artists. However, they weren't very strong. The one with the highest cultivation among them was only at the early stage of the Sixth Level of the God Bravery Realm. They were likely just some unorganized, roaming bandits.

"Hahaha... Second Brother was right! A fat sheep has wandered in this morning!"

The dozen or so men formed a semicircle, trapping Luo Feng in the middle. Their leader, an ugly, bare-chested man, had muscles bulging like black charcoal and exuded a potent Evil Qi.

Hearing the ugly man's words, a small-eyed Martial Artist beside him sized up Luo Feng and sneered, "Boss, this kid has delicate skin. He must be some young master from a wealthy family. He's definitely loaded!"

So, it isn't peaceful even around Yunlan Peak.

Luo Feng rubbed his nose, calmly observing the bandits before him, and smiled faintly.

Seeing Luo Feng's expression, the ugly man's thick eyebrows shot up. A fierce light glinted in his large eyes as he radiated a formidable murderous aura. "Kid, we brothers are a bit short on funds lately. You know what to do, right?"

"I don't," Luo Feng shook his head immediately.

"You don't know what's good for you!"

The ugly man's eyes turned cold, his face contorting into a ferocious snarl as he roared, "Bring me my weapon!"

"Yes, Boss!"

The surrounding bandits smirked at Luo Feng, their eyes glinting with schadenfreude.

The bandits parted, and from behind them, five or six Martial Artists emerged, carrying an iron pillar a foot in diameter.

This iron pillar, over a zhang in length, was entirely pitch-black. Forged from Mysterious Steel, it likely weighed no less than ten thousand jin.

The six bandits carrying the iron pillar strained, their faces flushed crimson. Each step they took made the ground tremble.

"Hehe..."

The ugly man walked over to the iron pillar, spat into his palms, glanced at Luo Feng, then gripped the pillar with both hands.

"Lift!"

With a deep roar, he effortlessly lifted the massive iron pillar, making the watching bandits' eyes burn with envy.

BOOM!

The pillar slammed heavily onto the ground, sending stone fragments flying. The ugly man looked at Luo Feng with a smug expression. "If you know what's good for you, hand over everything valuable! Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

Luo Feng smiled faintly. His gaze shifted, and he casually pulled out ten taels of silver, tossing them over. "Here, this is all you're worth."

Looking at the silver on the ground, the ugly man cursed, "Ten taels! Do you take us for beggars? It seems I'll have to show you a thing or two, or you won't know the might of Savage Tiger!"

"Quick, fall back! The Boss is about to use his special move!"

"This kid dared to mock the Boss; he's dead meat!"

Seeing that the ugly man was genuinely enraged, the other bandits' expressions changed. They hurriedly retreated, looking terrified. When they looked at Luo Feng, it was as if they were looking at a dead man.

VROOM!

Just as the others moved away, the ugly man suddenly exerted his strength. He yanked the iron pillar free and, holding it with both hands, began to spin it rapidly above his head.

VROOM, VROOM, VROOM, VROOM...

The iron pillar spun faster and faster, its powerful momentum whipping up a wind so strong it stung their eyes. This terrified the other bandits, who hastily retreated another ten meters, fearing they would be caught in its path.

Only Luo Feng remained standing firm, watching the ugly man with keen interest.

With his insight, he could naturally tell that his opponent wasn't using any Martial Arts, relying entirely on brute strength.

Interesting.

Luo Feng chuckled softly. With a light tap of his toes, his figure soared into the air. In an instant, he appeared above the ugly man. Executing the Thousand Pounds Drop, he stomped down fiercely.

"Ah! I'm not ready yet..."

The ugly man was still gathering his strength when he suddenly saw Luo Feng appear above him. He was so scared out of his wits that before he could react, Luo Feng's feet had already landed on the iron pillar.

BOOM!

The ugly man lost his balance. The iron pillar flew from his grasp, sending him crashing into the ground.

"I have urgent business, so I won't play with you any longer."

Luo Feng glanced at the ugly man, half-buried in the earth, clapped his hands, and with a flash of his figure, sped away.

CLANG!

Witnessing Luo Feng's ghost-like speed, the dozen or so bandits, who had been so ferocious moments before, were so terrified that their swords and sabers clattered to the ground.

WHOOSH!

Luo Feng paid no mind to the small interlude, quickening his pace towards Yunlan Peak.

An hour later, Yunlan Peak, shrouded in clouds and mist, came into Luo Feng's view.

The early morning scenery of Yunlan Peak possessed a unique charm. From afar, the entire mountain seemed to glow with a jade-like luster; it looked like a mystical realm, detached from the mortal world.

Although he had seen it once before, seeing it again, Luo Feng still felt a tremor of awe in his heart.

Slowing his pace, Luo Feng headed towards the main gate of Yunlan Peak.

"Who goes there?"

"Halt! Or don't blame us for being impolite!"

"Ah, it's Luo Feng. The Principal said for you to go to her as soon as you arrived."

"Your mother, Yang Qing, is also here."

As Luo Feng approached the main gate, several Elders from Tianlan School flew over and intercepted him. They were about to question him when they recognized him as Luo Feng. They quickly changed their tone and greeted him with smiles.

These Elders had fought alongside Luo Feng during the New Talents Tournament, so they all recognized him.

Mother is here too...

Luo Feng was momentarily stunned, then quickly understood. With his elder brother, Luo Xiao, gravely injured, it was natural for his mother to be worried.

"Thank you, Elders. I will go find Principal Zhou Zhiyun now." Luo Feng cupped his fists in thanks, then turned and headed up Yunlan Peak.

Watching Luo Feng depart, a middle-aged Elder sighed with emotion. "Truly, heroes emerge young. When I was his age, I was still an Outer Court disciple, while he is already the Top New Talent."

"Indeed. I still vividly remember the day he fought against the expert at the Eighth Level of the Hell Realm from the Blood Demon Sect and ambushed the expert at the Ninth Level of the Heavenly Court Realm."

"Haha, he's a genius who has comprehended the Grand Momentum—one in a million. How could we possibly compare to him?" an Elder said with a laugh, shaking his head.

"Never mind that," the Elder who had spoken first mused. "Did any of you feel it? When he approached, I sensed an intent of wind and thunder!"

"An intent of wind and thunder? Could his Condensation Yuan Technique have broken through to the second layer?"

"Impossible. He is indeed an unparalleled genius, but we all know how difficult it is to cultivate the Condensation Yuan Technique. Without three to five months, even reaching the entry-level is a problem. You're overestimating him."

"That's true. Even the Principal, a genius herself, took two years to cultivate the Condensation Yuan Technique to the second layer. Luo Feng only obtained the Condensation Yuan Technique less than two months ago..."

Since the appearance of the Blood Demon Sect disciples, security on Yunlan Peak had been tightened, with academy Elders guarding the main gate. The Elders, having little to do, were discussing such interesting matters.

Luo Feng ascended Yunlan Peak and went straight to Tianlan School.

Several figures stood on the vast plaza of Tianlan School.

The woman in the center, dressed in a water-blue gown, possessed a graceful figure and unparalleled beauty; she was Zhou Zhiyun, the Principal of Tianlan School.

Beside her stood He Qin, dressed in white.

Another middle-aged Martial Artist, who had a profound aura and sharp eyes, was an expert at the mid-Eighth Level of the Hell Realm. He wore the uniform of a Tianlan School Elder, one whom Luo Feng had not met before.

Seeing Luo Feng, Zhou Zhiyun walked forward to greet him, evidently already aware of his arrival.

"Principal."

Luo Feng stepped forward and bowed to the three of them.

Zhou Zhiyun's beautiful eyes rested on Luo Feng as she pointed to the Elder beside her. "This is Elder Zhao Kun, Tianlan School's intelligence elder."

"Greetings, Elder Zhao Kun," Luo Feng said with a smile.

Zhao Kun smiled and nodded at Luo Feng.

Luo Feng found his gaze somewhat strange but couldn't pinpoint why.

Zhou Zhiyun winked at Luo Feng and said meaningfully, "I just heard the news Elder Zhao Kun brought back, so I guessed you would be coming."

Luo Feng's heart skipped a beat. The news Elder Zhao Kun brought back must be about what happened at Green Wood Trading Co. in Giant Stone City. No wonder he looked at me that way.

As expected of one of the Four Great Academies, news travels incredibly fast.

Luo Feng inwardly shook his head slightly.

He Qin, standing beside them, watched the three with a bewildered expression, completely lost.

Among them, only she did not know what had transpired.

After exchanging a few words, Zhao Kun excused himself and descended the mountain.

Luo Feng followed Zhou Zhiyun and He Qin into the academy grounds.

"Luo Feng, you've obtained the Golden Jade Heart Lotus, haven't you?" Zhou Zhiyun asked after Zhao Kun had left.

Luo Feng rubbed his nose and grinned. "You already know everything, so why ask?"

Zhou Zhiyun's rosy lips curved into an attractive smile. She looked at Luo Feng and blinked.

"I only know that someone attacked Green Wood Trading Co. and took the Golden Jade Heart Lotus. Although I suspected it was you, I wasn't entirely certain. Now it seems it really was you."

Zhou Zhiyun wasn't lying. She was well aware of the strength of the two individuals in charge of Green Wood Trading Co. When she first heard the news, she was initially skeptical that Luo Feng could have been the one to attack Green Wood Trading Co.

Taking a shallow breath, Zhou Zhiyun looked at Luo Feng, her gaze growing somewhat grave.

"Luo Feng, Green Wood Trading Co. holds a crucial position within the Duanmu Family. Now that it has been destroyed at your hands, you've stirred up a monumental disaster."
