Mariel: The Goddess of War

Suddenly, Mariel touched the brooch on her collar, and the clothes she was wearing slowly began to disappear. Dark magic radiating from her body covered the area, making this place almost pitch black. Mariel's friends, including her parents, tried to use magic to block the black smoke from getting too close to them. Kehal stood there, looking at his disciple so proudly with a calm expression.

Suddenly, the black smoke that covered the area was sucked back into Mariel who was standing there with an arrogant grin. This dark figure was her ultimate skill that she used for important battles or life-or-death situations. However, this time, she wanted to use this ultimate skill to prove to everyone that she was superior to her master who had taught her swordsman class.

Mariel in her illusionary form stared at Kehal like serpent eyes, a smile that reached her ears, sharp fangs ready to tear her prey into pieces, claws longer than a normal person's were preparing for this battle.

The sound of bones coming from Mariel's two hands gave off a terrifying sensation. A shiver down Kehal spine as if he was being stared at by a predator who was about to tear her prey into pieces like a delicious dinner.

Suddenly, Dark Mariel charged at Kehal at high-speed movement, spreading both of her sharp claws, ready to slash Kehal's body, causing severe wounds all over him.

Kehal immediately realized that his opponent had to attack quickly, so he quickly spread his shield with full force. Light magic power was all over the shield, reducing the damage from dark magic from Dark Mariel's sharp claws.

Clang!!!!! 

The loud impact between the claws and the metal shield created a deafening sound that almost hurt other ears. 

Mariel's eyes widened in shock as the light magic power covering the large metal shield reflected some of her dark magic power back to her body along with the light magic that came directly from the shield.

Ouch!!! Mariel quickly did a somersault and spat out a little blood. As soon as her body touched the ground, she immediately used her magic power to heal her internal injuries.

"I never thought that Master Kehal would be able to reflect back two different magical powers at the same time. Impressive!" Dark Mariel said.

"If I hadn't used my hidden skills, would I have dared to challenge you?" Kehal said, raising his sword above his head.

The light magic power in the large sword shone brightly in the area. Kehal knew that if he held back, he might lose to his disciple, so he fought with all his might. Even Deric couldn't believe his eyes that his daughter could make his team leader act seriously.

"Come in, my dear master!" Mariel shouted.

Kehal charged at Mariel, stabbing his sword filled with light magic. He aimed for the center of Mariel's chest, defeating her in one attack.

Scorching!!!!

 The two magic powers collided violently. Dark Mariel quickly clasped both her hands together in front of her chest and spread out a full shield of dark magic power to block the attack from the light sword by Kehal.

Clang! Clang!

Mariel gritted her teeth in pain because the light magic power was opposite to her dark magic power. Moreover, Kehal had more Qi energy, so she was clearly at a disadvantage in this fight.

Mariel accelerated her dark magic power and punched back at Kehal, causing him to quickly draw his sword back and use his shield to block the attack from Dark Mariel, causing Kehal's body to stagger back several steps too.

"Not bad. You can secretly use the same technique as me and reflect the power back to me, well done!" Kehal said as he used the magic in his turbulent body back to normal.

 "Good technique must be good enough to learn and use, my dear master. Let's continue!" Dark Mariel said in a good mood and used her sharp claws to attack Kehal non-stop.

Kehal did not want to be the only one on the defensive formation and he tried to find a weak point to strike back at his opponent side.

Clang! Clang!

The claws and swords clashed, causing serious wounds to each side. Blood flowed all over the ground, soaking everywhere. Kehal, in his berserk mode, felt satisfied and enjoyed this fight very much. How long had it been since he had encountered such a worthy opponent? Especially since the opponent was his favorite disciple, he felt surprisingly happy. 

As for Dark Mariel in her illusionary form, despite her body being covered in wounds, she enjoyed it too. Her serpent instincts and her own recklessness made this fight different from other situations.

"Take this!" Kehal shouted and threw the shield filled with light magic at Dark Mariel who was running towards him to fight him.

"Missed!" Mariel dodged the shield that was flying at high speed and quickly increased her power before charging at Kehal.

"WHAT???" Something unusual happened, causing Mariel to quickly turn around and see that Kehal's shield was spinning back towards her at an even faster speed than before.

Scorching!!!!

Mariel could only use both hands to absorb the impact of the shield, causing her entire body to tremble.

"I got you!" Kehal saw the opportunity when Dark Mariel was attacking with his shield and immediately thrust his light magic sword into Dark Mariel's back.

 "I will not lose!"

Dark Mariel immediately showed a furious expression when she realized that she had been tricked by her master, and then she used the technique that shocked everyone.

Dark Mariel's left hand blocked Kehal's light magic shield, then her right hand, which had been accelerating her dark magic power, immediately blocked Kehal's light magic sword.

Dark Mariel spat out blood all over the ground. Her body was now being attacked by light magic from both sides, causing her body to suffer serious internal injuries.

"W-what the hell! You are crazy kid!!!" Kehal didn't expect his disciple to do something like this.

Scorching!!!!

Mariel fired dark magic power from both of her arms to push Kehal away, including his shield.

Ouch!!! Kehal coughed up blood because he didn't expect to be shot with dark magic power back at him like this. His blood and magic power began to churn no differently from the opponent. 

Dark Mariel kneels on the ground in exhaustion because the defense and counterattack in this move had drained her energy greatly.

Her breathing and the sweat pouring down her body clearly indicated that Dark Mariel could no longer fight at her full potential from now on.

Kehal slowly stood up after recovering some of his energy back, while Dark Mariel was still trying to regain her strength.

Kehal re-energized his large sword with light magic and prepared to use powerful attacks at his opponent. Dark Mariel, although she had not yet regained her strength as she had hoped, she quickly prepared to deal with the continuous attacks.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Kehal and Mariel madly charged at each other, leaving countless wounds on their bodies. The others watching the fight were terrified and shocked by what was happening.

 "Dear…" Claudia hugged Deric's arm tightly with a scared expression, while Deric was also worried.

"I didn't think our daughter would be able to fight Kehal in his Berserk mode this well. If it was me, I didn't know if I would be able to fight and survive." Deric said.

 "Mariel is really advanced in another level." Beatrix said with admiration but still fear from this battle.

"Mania never expected to see such a fierce battle like this." Mania said.

"She is even better than me now." Segal praised his sister too.

"My friend is quite good. I respect you." Yujin said with great joy. Meanwhile, Raven stared while thinking.

"This won't easy now. If they fought this out any longer, Mariel would lose." Raven said with a worried look on her face.

"Her Magic Energy is almost gone." Beatrix said.

"That's right. Mariel has been using her power continuously without resting, comparing to Kehal's who had even more superior energy, there's no way she can win." Raven said.

Scorching!!!!

"I am nearly out of magic energy. If I keep fighting like this, I'm going to lose." Mariel thought.

Suddenly, Dark Mariel blasted a bolt of dark magic to knock Kehal back, then soared above Kehal, accelerating all the remaining dark magic to her right hand.

"Let's finish this! Master." Dark Mariel shouted in defiance.

"If you begged for it, then I will finish you, my beloved disciple!" Kehal responded and expended all his remaining light magic power and directed it towards his large sword, causing it to glow brilliantly.

 "Dark Magic of Destruction!!!!!!" Dark Mariel shouted and immediately launched a powerful attack at Kehal.

"Heavenly Punishment Sword!" Kehal thrust his magic light sword at Dark Mariel who attacked him from above with full force.

Scorching!!!!

The two dark and light magic energies violently canceled each other out, causing tremors to spread throughout the area, creating a dazzling glow that made it almost impossible to see the situation in front of them. Everyone was shocked by the destructive power that spread throughout the area. Claudia had to quickly cast a barrier of magic shield to protect Deric and Midaran from these attacks. On the other side, Segal and Yujin had to quickly spread their shields to block the attacks that were hitting their side as well.

"It's so dangerous, shields can barely protect us." Segal said.

"It really made my hands hurt too." Yujin said.

The smoke that had filled the area gradually faded, and everyone began to see the movements from inside more clearly.

In front of everyone, Kehal stood there, he still holding a large sword in his hand.

But Dark Mariel, she was lying unconscious in front of Kehal. Her body was no longer responding. Her magic power was gone because it had been used all in the last attack a moment ago.

"M-Mariel… lose?" Yujin said with concern.
