Magus Supremacy

Chapter 496: A Pissed off Rivock!

"Ahead of you!" Mada clapped back, his voice sharp and unyielding. Ki flared violently around his feet, and without a moment's hesitation, he burst forward with tremendous speed, hoping to reach the beast before it could even get close to Rivock.

"Do not get close to him!" Mada roared, his anger echoing through the battlefield as he swung his sword down in a vertical slash the very second he approached the beast.

The Lycan felt it!

An aura surged from the human's blade, unseen but deadly. In an instant, the beast leaped back, narrowly avoiding the strike.

What followed was an invisible arc of Ki that tore into the ground with devastating power, carving a deep trench that cracked and split the earth. The beast snarled, its expression twisting as it stared at Mada with a raised brow.

GROWL!

It howled, the sound rumbling like thunder as it pressed down with its feet. The ground shattered beneath its strength, and with a blur, it blitzed toward Mada. But the descendant was ready. He steadied himself in a stance, eyes locked on the charging figure.

The beast appeared right in front of him, swinging its claws with terrifying force. Mada countered instantly, his sword slicing upward to meet the blow.

But—shockingly there was no impact. No resistance. His blade cut through empty air. The beast had already disappeared from his view, moving faster than he anticipated.

And unfortunately for him, the instant it vanished, it reappeared in mid-air, right beside him.

"Crap!" Mada cursed under his breath, his senses flaring as he felt the murderous aura closing in. But his body, despite his readiness, could not react fast enough.

"I gotcha!" Noelle's voice rang out. She snapped her whip forward with deadly precision.

The Lycan, airborne and sensing the sharp whistle of the weapon, spun around mid-air. Its claws crossed in an X-shape, forming a hasty guard.

But it was a trap.

The whip shifted suddenly, curling and swirling like a living serpent. Its tip slipped around the beast's defenses and, before the Lycan could adjust, slammed viciously into its side. The impact hurled the creature out of the air, sending it crashing into the ground with thunderous force that cracked the soil.

"Let's go!" Mada shouted. His knees bent low, Ki swirling in violent gusts around his legs. With an explosive bang, he launched himself upward like a cannonball, sword raised high above his head.

In the blink of an eye, he came crashing down toward the beast's position.

The Lycan growled furiously, rolling to the side at the very last second. Mada's strike smashed into the earth instead, a deafening boom shaking the surroundings as a massive cloud of dust erupted.

The beast saw its chance. Its body blurred as it dashed into the billowing haze, vanishing into the smoke. A heartbeat later, it was right beside Mada.

Without hesitation, its massive foot shot forward in a brutal kick aimed directly at him.

"F*ck!" Mada spat. He spun around, bringing his sword across his body in defense, but the beast's sheer strength was overwhelming. The blow sent him flying like a cannonball.

Blood sprayed from his mouth as his trembling hands clutched his blade. Only the reinforcement of Ki across his limbs kept his bones from snapping like twigs.

His body tumbled and bounced violently across the ground, a ragdoll in the beast's merciless power.

With desperation, he slammed his sword into the earth, the weapon dragging a deep line into the dirt as it slowed him to a grinding halt. His chest heaved, blood dripping from his lips.

'Damn it!' Grey cursed inwardly, eyes glued to the fight, refusing to blink even for a second. 'I'm not imagining this. Rivock's strength should already be far above stage 5, yet he cannot finish the beast. Is it because it's corrupted? If that's the case, then how the hell are we supposed to deal with it? F*CK! This is turning into a nightmare…'

"Sh… shit!" Liam cursed, his teeth clattering against each other as he saw the direct descendants struggling immensely against the beast. His eyes widened in terror, his whole body trembling uncontrollably. "We are so dead. So dead, I say."

"Just shut up!" Ray scoffed angrily, his tone sharp as he kept his eyes locked on the fight. His fists were clenched tightly by his side, his jaw twitching with unease.

"You know," a voice suddenly spoke aloud, drawing everybody's attention back to the battle. Their eyes widened in disbelief when they saw Rivock standing tall, climbing out of the crater his body had been hurled into.

He looked almost perfectly fine, as if the savage blow he had taken had only brushed him aside. The only sign of damage was the faint smear of blood staining his lips.

"It's been a long time… a very long time since I got hit so hard that I actually coughed out blood." His voice was calm, yet carried a dangerous glint that made the atmosphere tighten.

"Even my immediate elder brother couldn't do such a thing." His eyes narrowed, glowing with menace, as the Lycan's attention locked fully onto him.

"So now," Rivock said as he leaned forward, his entire body brimming with raw intent. Ki compressed violently around the soles of his feet, and a blazing yellow aura began to flare, coating and encasing his fists like molten iron. Across from him, the beast waved its claws through the air, lips curling back into what could only be described as a sinister grin.

"I'm pissed." Rivock's calm words cut through the air like a blade.

Then, in the blink of an eye, he moved.

There was no sound, no warning. Like a blur, his speed almost rivaling the speed of sound itself, Rivock vanished and reappeared directly in front of the beast. His fist was already mid-swing, a deadly arc of power behind it, his face twisted into a deep frown of fury.

"So die." The words left his mouth like a cold verdict as he unleashed the strike.

His fist shot forward, tearing through the air with such force that a deafening bang exploded outward, the very sound barrier shattering under the sheer impact.

In less than a second, before the Lycan could even react, Rivock's punch connected squarely with its chest. Another thunderous bang echoed out as the beast's massive frame was lifted clean off the ground, its body sent flying violently through the air before crashing several dozen meters away.

The ground shattered beneath its weight as its body bounced and tumbled, leaving cracks spiderwebbing across the battlefield.

"Nah! I'm not done with you yet!" Rivock roared, his voice booming as he blitzed forward like a streak of yellow lightning. In a heartbeat, he was above the beast, descending with merciless intent. Without hesitation, he swung his fists into the air, punching rapidly.

Each strike unleashed colossal yellow fists of condensed Ki that shot down like meteors, slamming into the beast with unrelenting force. Every impact shook the entire area, each bang echoing like a barrage of gunshots, relentless and terrifying.

The ground beneath the Lycan convulsed as if caught in an earthquake, the earth itself quaking beneath the rain of attacks. Clouds of dust rose higher and higher with every impact, thick enough to blot out part of the battlefield from sight.

Rivock was about to punch again, drawing on every ounce of his fury to crush the beast once and for all, when suddenly…

A pair of pitch-black eyes pierced through the rising dust.

Before he could even register the danger, talon-like claws shot forward with immense speed, glinting dangerously as they tore through the air, aiming straight for his face.

'Damn!' Rivock thought, his heart lurching as death itself seemed to reach for him.
