After years of cultivating magic, Nian Bing's spiritual power had become quite strong. He coughed to mask his embarrassment and said, "Miss, hello, I'm here to see Ancestor Hua Tian, is he here?"

The young girl sized up Nian Bing suspiciously and asked, "Who are you? What do you want with him?"

Recalling his own mentor at the girl's question, Nian Bing sighed lightly and replied, "I'm here to honor the last wishes of my master, specifically to pay a visit to Ancestor Hua Tian."

The young girl still didn't trust Nian Bing, and asked further, "Who is your master?"

Nian Bing frowned slightly and replied, "A disciple shouldn't speak the name of his master, my master had a nickname, he was called Ghost Chef."

Upon hearing the name Ghost Chef, the girl gave a surprised exclamation, opened the door, and came out, letting Nian Bing have a full view of her. She was wearing blue clothes that covered her body except her head. Her high collar protected her neck, and her exquisite figure had a striking charm. Her beautiful, large, blue eyes stared right at him. However, the blue in her eyes was different from his, while his was the deep blue of the sea, hers was the pure blue of a clear sky, completely untainted. To his surprise, she was quite tall, nearly as tall as him who was taller than average, her slim, long legs concealed in her pants, gave off a breathtakingly beautiful impression.

The girl noticed Nian Bing studying her. With increasing shyness showing on her pretty face, she asked hesitantly, "Are you... are you, Predecessor Zha's disciple? You just said 'the last wish', could it be... could it be that Predecessor Zha...?"

Nian Bing nodded solemnly, and said, "My master just passed away. Miss, is Ancestor Hua Tian here?"

With a slightly bewildered look, the girl stared at Nian Bing and asked, "The Ancestor Hua Tian you mentioned is my master. But, my master told me that Predecessor Zha only had one disciple, and he's a fatty. And you, you're not fat at all! Besides, my master once said, Predecessor Zha had excellent health. How could he have passed away so easily?"

Nian Bing gave off a little laughter and said, "Nobody can be sure if they will live happily ever after, who knows how long they shall live? Don't you think I'm a liar, do you? The last time Ancestor Hua Tian saw me, I was only eleven years old, that was seven years ago. I was chubby back then, that doesn't mean I'd stay chubby growing up. I am the 'fatty' you are speaking of."

A flash of cold light blinked in the girl's eyes, she insisted, "Unless you can show something that proves your identity, I won't let you see my master."

Nian Bing sighed, "I remember the last time I came, Ancestor Hua Tian didn't yet have any disciples. Since you want proof, look at this." As he spoke, he reached into his bosom and pulled out the Morning Dew Knife that was crafted by Hua Tian.

Seeing the Morning Dew Knife, her eyes lit up. She quickly took it from Nian Bing, gently stroked the sheath which seemed to be covered with rust, felt the continuous chill emanating from it, and murmured, "Yes, yes, it's it. It's the Morning Dew Knife." She touched the icy, rhombus gem on the handle, then her doubts were partly cleared.

Nian Bing looked at the precious blade in the young girl's hand and said, "I call it, the Sigh of the Ice-Snow Goddess."

The girl blinked and said, "Such a beautiful name, though it sounds a bit melancholy. Why did you name it that way?"

Nian Bing grinned slightly, "That, I can't tell you. Consider it my secret. Beautiful miss, can you take me to see Ancestor Hua Tian now?"

The girl nodded, tightly clutching the Morning Dew Knife, and motioned for him to follow her inside, saying, "Come with me."

Nian Bing followed the young girl into the courtyard of the Second-Hand Ironware Shop. The scene was as desolate as the last time he visited, with a furnace standing alone in the center of the courtyard, surrounded by what appeared to be fuel materials.

The girl led Nian Bing towards the rooms. It was daytime, and Nian Bing could see more clearly the dilapidated state of the two parallel rooms, as if they were on the verge of collapsing. When they reached the doorway, the girl stopped, turned to Nian Bing and said, "Please come in." She then pushed the door open and gestured for Nian Bing to enter.

Looking into the girl's lucid blue eyes, Nian Bing, for some unknown reason, felt a surge of profound trust. Without any hesitation, he walked boldly into the room.

"Ah!" Nian Bing exclaimed, halting abruptly as he crossed the threshold. Inside the room, there was only one window, allowing a trace of daylight to bring some brightness into the dim interior. What caught Nian Bing's attention was a plaque displayed on the counter. It was clearly a spirit tablet, inscribed with the words: "Spiritual Place of the Esteemed Master Hua Tian."

Whirling around, Nian Bing fixed his gaze on the young girl, "Has Ancestor Hua Tian passed away?"

The girl's eyes misted over as she replied, "Yes, he passed away two years ago, leaving me behind."

Nian Bing closed his eyes, the sorrow welling up in his heart once more. He moved up to the tablet and bowed respectfully three times next to it, "Master, I had not imagined that our last meeting would be our final goodbye. May you rest in peace. My own master has also gone to Heaven. Perhaps, should you meet him there, you could ask him to prepare some delicacies for you."

The girl observed Nian Bing's respectful demeanor towards her master, her affinity for him growing. She approached him and said, "Although my master is no longer with us, his spirit endures. His teachings remain in my heart, a debt I can never forget. Unfortunately, he did not give me the chance to serve him any longer."

Nian Bing heaved a deep sigh, "Everyone has to face death, we can't control our own lifespans. It was the same for Ancestor Hua Tian, my own master, and who knows when it will be my turn."

The young girl looked into Nian Bing's eyes, her gaze deep and far beyond his years, a faint red light flashed across her blue eyes, "I still don't know your name."

Nian Bing was drawn from his thoughts, "Ah! I apologize for the oversight. I am Nian Bing. And you, Miss?"

The girl murmured his name, "Nian Bing, Nian Bing, this name has a deep undertone. I am Feng Nu."

Nian Bing complimented her, "Just as a real-life colorful Phoenix, your name matches you well. I'd never have thought that when I first came here seven years ago, my master and Ancestor Hua Tian were joking with each other. But now, everything has changed. They both are gone, only leaving you and me. It's improper for a man and woman to stay in the same room. Since Ancestor Hua Tian is gone, it's time for me to leave too. Lady Feng, may we meet again if fate allows."

As Feng Nu watched Nian Bing taking the Morning Dew Knife from her hand and leaving, she suddenly called out, "Wait a minute."

Nian Bing turned back to look at her, "Lady Feng, is there anything else?"

A faint blush crept onto Feng Nu's face, barely visible due to the dim light in the room, "I...I just wanted to ask you, did you want to see my master for something specific?"

Nian Bing thought about it, given that Feng Nu was Hua Tian's disciple, maybe she could help him. With this in mind, he pulled the Righteous Sun Knife from his chest and handed it over, "You have probably heard about this knife from Ancestor Hua Tian. This was once his proudest creation."

Feng Nu didn't need to look, the moment her hand touched the knife handle, her eyes burst into light. Its glow was even brighter than when she had the Morning Dew Knife, "Righteous sun! Is this the Righteous Sun Knife?"

Nian Bing nodded, "Yes, it's the Righteous Sun Knife. Before my master's death, he entrusted me with his beloved partner, which I have always carried with me. Besides wanting to visit Ancestor Hua Tian, my other reason for coming here was for this knife. While the Righteous Sun Knife is exceptional, it still falls short when compared to the Morning Dew Knife. This difference lies in the fact that it doesn't have a true spirit of its own. Although the Fire Dragon's Horn is a rare treasure, it doesn't contain the spirit of the Fire Dragon. Therefore, I want to infuse this Righteous Sun Knife with a soul. If I could do that, it will undoubtedly become a precious knife on par with the Morning Dew Knife."

Feng Nu was staring intently at Nian Bing, "You mean to say that you possess a fire attribute gemstone comparable to the Ice Stone?"

Nian Bing gave a faint smile, reached into his chest and pulled out the Fire God Stone. The gemstone, shaped like a flame, emitted a faint red light. As soon as it appeared, even the air in the room seemed to become somewhat restless.
