Mage Legend

The Snake-men have not officially declared war on other countries of the Anriel World, but everyone knows they are merely gathering the power needed for certain victory; a full-scale conflict is practically unavoidable. In fact, those beasts that have suddenly increased along the border are deliberately let through Pate Plain by the Snake-men, released onto other lands for harassment.

Unlike the Paladins and Priests who have the aid of Divine Arts, ordinary soldiers practically have no ability to resist those beasts. Besides weapons enhanced by Magic, only siege weapons can inflict harm. But relying on the giant crossbow cart to hit the agile Petrified Lizard or Medusa is in itself a fantasy.

Norton said that there was a time when the Mage Association sold a lot of Magic Weapons, alleviating urgent needs. Although the association amassed a lot of wealth as a result, at least it was a positive action. However, six months ago, such activities suddenly ceased completely. The Mages no longer had anything to do with trading Magic Items; they counted their Gold Coins and retreated back into their towers.

The only ones left with a large number of Magic Weapons are the southern Elf Kingdom. They are naturally capable of crafting equipment with magical abilities. In fact, the equipment crafted by elves can only exhibit power when used by elves; ordinary people simply cannot use them. Yet, rumors have arisen at this time, saying that the elves intentionally watch as other creatures on the continent face death and won't take out a single piece from the mountains of weapons in their warehouses. Phrases like "the elves are trying to reconquer the continent" seem to be heard in every alley.

"The elves have never ruled the continent before, where does this talk of reconquest come from?" Lynch snorted, expressing scorn for such lies while venting dissatisfaction at the inexplicable arrogance of the Mage Association. "Is this also why the Elf Queen called for a continent summit? In today's world where teleportation magic is ineffective, such a meeting isn't simple."

"Nonetheless, the situation is quite severe at present. Norton believes that even if the leaders themselves can't go, they will send a representative of influence." The Demon Statue analyzed earnestly, "After all, the legendary treasure of the elves holds infinite allure."

"What about Haisas? Is my mother okay?" Lynch suddenly asked.

"According to the information Norton received from Paladin Vislin, Deluo went to speak with him. He said the master's mother is very safe, no one dares to disturb her."

"That's good." Lynch nodded, "Do you know about the situation elsewhere?"

"Oh, that I'm not too sure about." Norton shook his body, "What I just said was also told to Norton by Knight Vislin."

The Mage gently sat on the back of the white tiger, its soft and warm fur more comfortable than any chair. The "cushion" grunted dissatisfiedly but could only accept this reality. Lynch thought for a moment, resting his chin on his Powerful Wand.

"When will the Elf Queen's meeting be held?"

"In about twenty days." Norton immediately responded, "With the All-Knowing Tower flying at full speed, it should be able to get there."

"Yes indeed," Lynch sighed, "This castle is fine, but it's a bit cumbersome. The Snake-men have already started preparing for war, should I also be doing something?"

"Norton says, Master must not pull out the plants and flowers here."

"Of course." The Mage left the white tiger's body, and this time the tiger, having suffered a loss, did not follow. Once they left the area of the Anti-Magic Field, Lynch's spiritual power easily drifted into the tower's control room, and the entire city began to slowly ascend, accelerating towards the south.

Zilvra looked out from between the pillows, the scene outside the window spinning rapidly. "Off on the road again," she softly said, then turned her gaze to the suit of armor on the wall.
