Chapter 7: Fists first questions later
******
The Randell couple had immediately left for the woods after the giant explosion, knights were doing their best to follow the captain and vice-captain but were unable to catch up to them. On both their mounds was one common thought, 'I hope nothing happened to him.'
The one they both thought of was none other than Aldin who had headed to the woods and had headed out in the morning to practice magic but had not even come back for lunch, at first they thought he had gotten carried away and forgotten to come back home but after seeing the explosion all those thoughts went out the window and now they were headed to the point where the explosion had taken place. When they arrived, it was the clearing where Aldin would visit, the entire place was wrecked, and blood and a corpse could be seen. There was silence between them when an unknown person in black armour appeared, they noticed his arrival and without a second thought the grief-stricken couple attacked him, they needed answers to where their son was.
Brook
After running for a while I got to where the explosion had taken place, the place had been wrecked I noticed a duo far out on the other side of the clearing, next to them was the corpse of, Luke, the same one I had been in search of and his body was full of wounds together with a hole through his chest if they were the ones who did it then I had no chance and needed to escape but before I could even move a few feet away they were already halfway to me. And seconds later my feet were frozen in place.
"WHERE IS HE?" the duo asked simultaneously. Before I could even ask what, they were talking about my wrist had been sliced off.

A while before Lark and Silvia had arrived at the clearing in the dark space, both Aldin and the mysterious creature were staring at each other.
"I have waited to meet you, child," the creature said with a loud booming voice.
Out of fear, Aldin tried to run away but his body would not listen to him.
"Do not fear, I mean no harm." Although not fully calm Aldin stopped trying to move.
"What do you want?" Aldin said but it was not in his voice but the same as the creature.
"Straight to the point, alright." the creature said. "I might not tell you everything but what I can say is that you need to get stronger and fast, danger is on its way, and you are the only one who can stop it."
This hit Aldin hard, due to being tri attributed he had been considered strong but after his most recent battle, he was reluctant to believe that.
"No need to despair you might be weak right now, but you have all it takes to grow stronger and with time you will be able to, but right now time is the last thing we have."
"Then help me" Aldi said with confidence, 'honestly right now I don't have confidence in my ability to and I need help from him if I want to grow to what he says.'
"that's more like it." and that very moment a dark ring with a scale-like pattern appeared in front of him, "the next time we meet I hope you'll have grown stronger, and don't tell anyone of what has occurred in this space or anything about it or both our heads will roll together with those of everyone close to you."
The next moment Aldin was back in the forest, and it was nighttime although he was not back at the clearing.
Aldin Randell
After getting back to the woods I was confused about what had just happened, looking around he wasn't where he was before vanishing. To recognize where I was he lit up a small orb to light the way, after finding a stream I chose to follow it downstream, meanwhile, I aimlessly walked deep in thought about what had just happened I shuddered in fear of what had happened to me, tears were rolling down my eyes, it was too painful when all the memories came to me.'
'What if it happens again?' this specific question ran through my mind. I had to sit on the cold bare ground to get myself together, as if the world was making fun of me, I heard footsteps approaching me and I immediately activated my radar, two people were approaching me, and when I could finally see them, they wore black clothes and a mark on their clothes which seemed familiar.
"let's take him back, the captain might let us play with a pair of slaves.
'What do they mean?' I was confused at what they meant but the memory of the markings on their clothes came to mind, it was similar to those on the man who tried to kill me. My heart began racing and I got cold due to the accumulating fear.
'I have to do something, or they will hurt me.' I prepared to water arrows condensed them and fired them, While the two were talking my spells went through their skulls, and even though they had fallen I could feel safe, I ran deep into the woods running I didn't even care where I was headed, after running I was about to take a break when I noticed that I had arrived in the middle of a large caravan, I thought I could ask for help.
"Could you help..." Before I finished those words, I noticed that they all bore the same mark as my prior aggressors, a giant canine tooth, and people were trapped in cages, they were human traffickers.
All eyes were on me, with radar still on I tried escaping but there were a few In front of me and in all directions as well, I was now trapped and could do nothing else; fighting was the only option, I condensed water above the in the sky that fell like rain and all of them looked up to find a clear sky, before the confusion could wear out I struck.
For those close to me I raised earth spikes that killed them in the very second, they all died at that very moment. Arrows were fired at me but with the help of radar, I was able to avoid them. Narrowly escaping the attack, I fired water arrows at all the archers while they were busy, I raised the earth around me to shield me from their attacks, those who came close to me died of impalement.
There was silence all throughout the battlefield, using radar I killed all those that would move and were not in the cages, I was now left with a few of them still standing, I lowered the wall and began taking out all those that bore the mark. None of them were left alive and now I could finally rest, but before I sat down everything went black.
Lark Randell
After torturing the information out of him we found out that he was part of a mercenary group that was transporting slaves to one of their clients. I left him with Silvia who would hand them over to the knights who hunt down the mercenaries as we searched for our son.
'They better not have touched him, or I will make their deaths slow and painful.' I thought to myself as I ran out into the woods, some distance from where I had been running I found corpses laid on the ground, and the view was gory at the edge Aldin lay, I ran up to him when I got there I was afraid that he might have already died, wounds were all over his body and his clothes were ripped.
When I checked his pulse, he was still alive but extremely tired, I carried him back but before I could leave the cries from the carts nearby noticed me of the presence of others, their people in cages, I pitied their situation, they had done nothing but were being treated like animals. I laid Aldin to rest and went to free them, after freeing them we went back to the city, but I had to pass by where Silvia was.
Silvia Randell
When Lark came back he had Aldin in his arms, at first I thought the worst might have happened, but since he didn't seem angry it washed away my fears and I noticed the group of people behind him, they were worn out and seemed extremely tired, I looked at the one behind it all, the captain of the wolf fangs, as he had told us, he had been treated these people without the slightest remorse even now he did not seem to regret it, I wished that at that very moment, I could slice off his head but we would lack evidence to pin the one behind it.
We all went back to the city, after laying Aldin to rest and leaving him with Vera as we went back to work, I had a huge bone to pick with him.
"You better answer honestly the first time," I said as we went to question Brook, as he had said.
