Chapter 15: Chapter 13: When the Confused One Gets Hit at Midnight
That night, Qin Qin entered the space.
Xiao Fong flew over and snuggled up to Qin Qin, who affectionately stroked Xiao Fong's feathers.
Walking towards the fruit trees thrown in that morning, she saw that the once slender branches had become lush with leaves, and the trees had grown thicker, marveling at the magic of the space.
"Xiao Fong, I want to plant these trees! It will be convenient to have fruit when we want it."
Xiao Fong, excited by this, flapped her wings, "Xiao Fong wants to eat, Xiao Fong wants to eat!"
With a wave of her wings, the trees lifted into the air, and the next moment, as if with their own consciousness, they each found a suitable spot to take root and settle down.
Qin Qin's lips twitched slightly; this little phoenix was truly impressive.
Xiao Fong, pleased with her craftsmanship, satisfactorily flapped her wings, "Master, we will be able to eat fruit soon."
Because of the spiritual energy, plants and animals in the space grew rapidly. The fruit trees would flower and bear fruit in just a few days, and when the time came, she would eat her fill.
Qin Qin nodded with a smile, "Alright, let's go train!"
After doing all this, it was time to start training. To become stronger, she had to be hard on herself.
"Okay!"
The two reached the open ground, and with a flap of her wings, Xiao Fong brought a tiger forth in front of Qin Qin.
Qin Qin watched warily, and the next moment, she leaped forward, charging at the tiger...
Two hours later, Qin Qin was so tired she collapsed on the ground, while the tiger across from her disappeared without a trace.
"Master, you are so awesome!" The Qin Qin of yesterday had struggled against the tiger, but today, she managed a narrow victory, although she didn't have it easy either.
Qin Qin rose with difficulty, her whole body aching terribly.
"I need to wash up!"
Qin Qin headed straight for the Spirit Creek Pool.
An hour later, Qin Qin lay in bed, ready to rest.
Between sleep and wakefulness, she heard faint sounds by her ears. She opened her eyes sharply, her gaze piercing toward the window.
Twenty meters away from the window, behind a large tree, three shady men peeked out towards the direction of Qin Qin's home.
"Lao Er, are you sure it's here?" the redhead hooligan whispered to the blond hooligan.
The blond hooligan nodded urgently, "Of course, I've already inquired clearly, there's only this one disabled person in Guanyin Town."
"That's great!" the redhead hooligan nodded, gestured to another hooligan with black hair behind him, "Lao San, you go scout it out, forget it, let's all go together. We must take good care of those two, father and daughter, today. They actually dared to defy us, courting death!"
The black-haired hooligan raised an evil smile, "Boss,
"Cut the crap! Hurry up and go!"
The three men emerged from behind the tree, and seeing that the surroundings were dark and quiet, they confidently ran towards the position of Qin Qin's home.
The redhead hooligan looked at the locked door in front of him and asked the blond hooligan to open it. The blond hooligan nodded, took a slender wire from his pocket, and was about to pick the lock, but a turning noise came from inside the door.
The next moment, the door was opened by someone from the inside, and a delicate figure appeared in front of the three men, looking at them coldly.
The three of them hadn't expected to be discovered, their first instinct was to run, but they stopped in their tracks once they saw who it was.
The red-haired hooligan raised a smile looking at Qin Qin emerging from the house, "So it's you?! Little beauty, did you know we were coming and specially came to keep us company? You're really something."
The blond hooligan and the black-haired hooligan laughed softly, their smiles carrying ill intentions.
"Something, huh? Heh, you'll see just how 'something' I am in a bit." In the darkness, a dark hue flitted across Qin Qin's black pupils, chilling to the bone.
"This place isn't convenient, how about we find a quiet spot?"
Hearing Qin Qin's obliging response, the three hooligans eagerly nodded in agreement.
Qin Qin led the way down a narrow path, and although the three hooligans wondered at the girl's courage, they followed her, convinced in their minds that the girl had no tricks up her sleeve.
About ten minutes later, Qin Qin stopped at a secluded spot, to the left, a pitch-black bamboo grove looming ominously, and to the right, a pond only left with silt after the water had been drawn and the fish collected.
The three hooligans stopped and looked at each other with a hint of fear in their eyes as they surveyed their surroundings, which were gloomy and ominous. A gust of wind stirred the bamboo leaves, rustling softly and sending shivers down one's spine.
"You... you, don't think you can scare us by bringing us here. We're not easily frightened, I'll have you know," the blond hooligan mustered his courage to proclaim.
After the blond hooligan spoke up, the red-haired hooligan and the black-haired hooligan quickly echoed his sentiment.
In the darkness, the corners of Qin Qin's lips lifted, "Oh, is that so? It remains to be seen just how 'big' your courage is."
"Hmph, don't try to scare us. We didn't grow up being frightened. If you simply submit to us today, we might consider letting your useless old dad go. But if you anger us today, the consequences won't be something you can bear," the red-haired hooligan sneered, walking toward Qin Qin. He was sure such an innocent girl would be easily frightened. They had done this kind of thing more than once, and were seasoned in it.
"Useless? Fantastic!"
Her voice, dark and cold, echoed in the darkness. In the next moment, before the red-haired hooligan could react, he was savagely kicked to the ground, howling in agony.
The blond hooligan and black-haired hooligan stared in disbelief at their companion writhing on the ground, and after what felt like forever, they rushed up to help him up, "Boss, are you alright?!"
The red-haired hooligan felt an intense pain in his stomach; though the girl seemed frail, she packed quite a punch. The pain was so severe he still hadn't recovered.
"Have some respect! Second, grab her for me! If I don't take her down today, I swear I'll give up my name."
The furious red-haired hooligan barked at the blond hooligan, clutching his belly and leaning on the black-haired hooligan, his eyes ferociously fixed on Qin Qin not far away.
Containing his excitement, the blond hooligan rubbed his hands together with a lecherous smile, approaching Qin Qin, "Just give in quietly, or you'll suffer the consequences."
The blond hooligan's hand reached out towards Qin Qin; he assumed she would meekly surrender. Instead, he heard the snapping sound of bones breaking in his hand.
"Ah... my hand, it's broken, it's broken!"
In the darkness, the scene was not very clear, yet it was enough to send the red-haired and black-haired hooligans retreating in terror, all because of that terrifying scream.
"You... you..."
Who exactly was this woman? Had they provoked some God of Death?
Soft footsteps sounded in the darkness, moving towards the two men, as a delicate silhouette gradually appeared before them.
The black-haired hooligan, terrified, immediately fell to his knees, desperately begging for mercy, "Please, spare me! I was wrong, I won't dare again! My lady, I beg you, let me go. I swear I'll never do this again!"
The red-haired hooligan glared at the black-haired hooligan with contempt in the darkness. The next instant, he swung his fist towards Qin Qin without any warning, unable to believe the woman could be that formidable.
"Ah... my hand, it hurts! Let go, I won't dare again!"
