'Even though it might be interesting for them, I doubt it'll have the same effect on me, after all, I'm a dragon,' Star mumbled as she stared at the ceiling.

Soon she heard the door opening and quickly closed her eyes as Xavier stepped out of her room already wearing his pants.

"Are you pretending to be asleep?" Xavier asked as he walked towards one of her chairs and sat down.

"How could I sleep when she was planning to bring the house down with her screams? What is so enjoyable about what both of you were doing?" Star sneered.

"Before you conclude, maybe you should try it and see, you might like it." Xavier chuckled as he stood up and walked towards the bathroom.

"I'm positive I'm not going to like it. I should sleep," Star said as she lay back down.

Xavier stepped into the bathroom, taking his pants and underwear off he tossed a cleansing crystal into the bath before stepping in.

He sighed in relief as the water enveloped his body, washing away his sweat and stress. Xavier moved away from the bath before going completely under for some seconds and raising his head back up.

This was going to be his last bath here; he was going to take baths on the journey. After all, they were going to be traveling over a large body of water, and he just needed to take his clothes off and take a dip while Star flies around.

Xavier still couldn't shake the feeling that he had, in his head, that Avalon was already gone, though not everyone would be dead, but the kingdom would have been attacked and destroyed.

Even though the enemies were defeated that night, they would come back no doubt, and demons were working with beastkin.

Xavier had seen the map of the human continent, and it showed where demons were, and the only reason humans can't wipe them out completely is that it's almost impossible to enter their lands.

Both the land and the air were corrupted, making it impossible to fight anyone in those conditions, and since demons usually stay in their own, no one bothered and just mounted defenses.

Xavier had no idea how demons got beastkin to the continent. It was probably done by the demon queen, and beastkin hate humans, so it was a no-brainer. Both decided to work together.

The beast continent Xavier was currently in had three large kingdoms, the dragon mountain was at the center of the three kingdoms, and each of the kingdoms had a city, so Xavier wouldn't know which kingdom the beastkin were from.

If Avalon had indeed been destroyed, then it would be occupied by either demons or beastkin. Xavier knew he wasn't yet at the level he needed to be to face the demon queen, but he would be left with no choice.

But something else came to his mind, his family...he wouldn't want anything to happen to his mother or father.

But his father was a general and would face the war head-on; he had no idea what had happened, so he could only speculate.

Xavier leaned back in the bath, water sliding over his shoulders.

He had always known the demon Queen was the real threat, but he didn't know it would happen so soon, Xavier thought he would have to be the one to seek her out, but it happened the other way around.

Xavier rubbed his face with both hands. "I still need to get stronger…" he muttered to himself.

Strength was the only thing that mattered, but without it, he would be nothing more than prey in the eyes of demons.

The biggest problem would have to be the armies. Avalon wasn't attacked by a small group of demons; it was attacked by an army, and the attack was planned carefully, meaning the demon queen wasn't some idiot just out for blood.

Xavier let out another long sigh. Traveling across the continent was only the first step, but at least he had a powerful companion.

He sank under the water again, letting it drown out his thoughts for a moment. When he rose, droplets ran down his face, his facial expression coming back to a smile.

"If Avalon is gone, I'll take it back. If the demon queen is waiting, then I'll cut her down..."

Stepping out of the bath, Xavier dried himself quickly and put on his underwear, along with his pants. He also needed sleep since they would leave very early.

He returned to the living room and glanced at Star. She was lying with her eyes closed, and this time it looked like she was asleep.

He didn't disturb her and simply stepped inside the bedroom where Mira was already asleep, he lay down staring at the ceiling, still in thought.

Sleep was slow to come, but it finally came as Xavier drifted off.

Xavier felt someone touching him, and his eyes fluttered open. In front of him was a female staring at him, but he was too sleepy and his brain couldn't process anything.

Xavier turned to the side to continue his sleep, but the hand hit him again, and he sat up Star was standing in front of him.

"It's almost morning, time to go," She spoke, and Xavier yawned as he stood up.

He was still sleepy as he stretched his body and walked outside the bedroom. He went towards the things Mira brought yesterday, as he still hadn't put them in his inventory.

She had already filled the water pouch with water, so Xavier opened his inventory, placing each of them inside while he was still sleepy.

After the water, he began placing the bread, but suddenly stopped, causing Star to wonder what had happened, and she stepped closer to see that Xavier had fallen asleep again.

'Wait, isn't this a good chance?' Star mumbled in her head as she tapped Xavier slightly, not enough to completely wake him up.

"Tell me the spell to free me from this chain" Star spoke.
