Chapter 177 Question
Xavier's eyes fluttered open and he sat up stretching his body, he was still tired even after the nap but most importantly he was hungry.
The bedroom was empty as he was the only one inside but he could hear voices in the living room and he stood up and exited the room.
Mira and Star were the ones talking but there was one other person in the living room and Xavier who was just waking up didn't remember he wasn't wearing the illusion mask.
The moment he walked in and saw her then all three of them turned towards him and he froze, now he remembered he wasn't in any disguise.
"Xavier, meet Skyler my friend... she's blind" Mira spoke and Xavier turned towards her.
"You don't have to introduce me like that, I can see quite well" Skyler spoke as she stood up and stretched her hand towards Xavier.
"Hi, I'm Skyler" She spoke as Xavier took her hands.
She was a rabbit beast just like the one he saw when he first arrived at this village, but she was truly blind but uses her nose and increase keen sense to move around.
"I'm Xavier, how are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm fine, Mira told me you came from the next village, I've already wanted to go there but my mother doesn't want me to go alone, I love the bakery there, they serve a type of sweet bread" She replied.
Star turned towards Xavier and from her face he knew she had spent all the time talking when she didn't want to.
Then Xavier stomach grumbled and Mira immediately stood up and handed him the meal she bought, it was still a lot warm and without waiting Xavier sat down and began eating.
The rich smell of roasted meat and veggies filled his nose, making him realize just how empty his stomach had been.
Skyler smiled faintly, tilting her head as if she could hear the sound of him chewing. "You must be really hungry."
"I am," Xavier said between bite.
"That's how hard dungeons are" Skyler replied.
Mira sat back down, her hands folded neatly in her lap. "I told her about our trip, though I left out the dangerous parts and her part" Mira said pointing to Star.
"Good," Xavier muttered, swallowing before speaking again. "No need to scare her."
Skyler laughed softly. "I might be blind, but I'm not fragile. I can take care of myself, you know and I've been in a dungeon before, it's not that scary and I can fight"
"You went into a training dungeon that has been cleared multiple times, though that alone is a good sign" Mira chuckled.
'Can we leave now, she already got all you need and filled the water stuff with water, you have that space you use, stuff it and lets leave right now' Star spoke in Xavier's head and he turned towards her.
'What made you so angry, it's just talking...do you like fighting that much, you can go inside to rest'
'It's not just talking, she came while I was sleeping and I woke up but didn't move, and Mira was talking about having sex with you, disgusting'
'Really, how were you born then?'
'Dragons are unique creatures, we were created not given birth to, although there are males and females, it's just like that'
'But you do have a hole right, I've seen it when you took off your clothes, is that for show?'
'So that's what you were staring at, and yes it's just for show, I've never used it and I never will, also no dragon have ever used theirs as dragons do not have urges like humans or other creatures' Star replied.
'Saying you never will is kind of short sighted don't you think, I can control you to right now if I want, and there's nothing you can do about it'
A smirk formed on Xavier's face as Star turned towards him, she didn't say anything else and just looked at him, but Xavier wasn't planning to do that, he was planning to use the control over her to have sex with her.
Even though he was horny, Mira was right her and he was already planning to do the deed this night.
Skyler and Mira were still talking to themselves and from their conversation Xavier knew there had been friends for a long time, after eating he kept the plates and stood up.
"I'll be outside" Xavier spoke as he went towards the back.
Xavier stood outside, the cool night wind brushing against his face.
The sky was clear, dotted with bright stars that looked almost close enough to touch. The air smelled fresh, carrying the scent of trees and faint smoke.
He leaned against the wooden fence, arms folded, just letting the silence of the night sink in, by this time tomorrow he would be on his way.
The dungeon had been noisy, filled with echoes and roars, but here it was calm. Only the rustling of leaves and the soft chirp of insects filled the air.
Xavier took a deep breath as his mind went back to the god of death, and dor a second he wondered what if the god of death had taken him as his champion.
A few minutes passed before he heard the door creak. Star stepped out, her hair glowing faintly in the moonlight. She didn't say anything at first, just stood near him, letting the wind play with her hair.
"You should rest, you'll be busy from tomorrow" Xavier said.
"I don't feel like resting and I can fly without stopping for a week at a time" Star spoke before turning to look at Xavier who was staring into the sky.
"Why are you staring at me like that is there something on your mind?" Xavier asked her.
"Are you a bad person?" Star asked.
"What's with that question, I thought dragons could sense things like that, can't you tell?" Xavier replied.
"I'm asking you?"
