Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 175 Outside

Star strode forward as the golems turned their attention to her. Xavier didn't even instruct her; she just did, and Xavier stood back.

This would be a walk in the park for her since he had seen her strength even in her human form.

Five golems stomped forward, their heavy feet shaking the ground slightly. Their stone bodies were huge, and Xavier and Star could see where their Mana was concentrated.

Star stepped in front, her hair brushing her shoulders as she glanced back at Xavier.

Xavier gave a short nod. "Don't drag it out."

Flames sparked around Star's hands, then burst into a wave as she walked forward completely igniting her hands.

"Do you need to transform to kill a couple of weak golems? And you didn't take off your clothes?" Xavier asked but Star was already in front of the first one.

The first golem raised its arm to smash down, but Star leapt, fire exploding from her feet.

She landed on its chest and swung her fist, her palms burning straight through stone as her punch shattered the golem's crystal. The golem cracked and flames spread around its body until it collapsed into pieces.

The other four closed in, swinging slow but powerful arms. Star didn't even need to try; she slipped between their strikes and turned around and stretched her hands.

Flame burst outward, wrapping around the next golem. Its body burned, cracks splitting wide until it crumbled.

Mira watched quietly, her lips parted slightly. To her, magic was something strange; today was the first time she had experienced it, and she was just amazed.

The third golem lunged, but Star pointed at it, a sharp stream of fire bursting from her hand. It drilled straight through its chest, leaving a hole as the body fell apart.

"Ohh, I didn't know she could cast spells, I mean, she's a flame-breathing dragon, of course, she can cast spells," Xavier muttered.

The last two came at once. Star didn't dodge this time. She let them get close, then stomped her foot.

Flames erupted in a ring around her, shooting out streaks of fireballs as both golems burned at the same time.

They couldn't even get an attack in before the fire melted through their joints. They dropped to the ground, broken and steaming.

Star dusted her hands as her flames faded down to small embers around her skin and finally died out.

"I had no idea you could cast spells" Xavier spoke as he and Mira walked forward.

"I'm a flame dragon, I can do anything with flames" Star replied.

The three of them continued further and once again met another group of golems. This was the first wave, and after this, they would exit the dungeon.

Xavier took the lead in his time and destroyed all of the golems without breaking a sweat. They were smaller but faster, still, there was no problem for him.

Finally, they exited the duneon, pushing the leaves covering it aside, and stepped outside.

The bright light hit Xavier's face, causing him to face away as the sun was still high in the sky, the light filtered through tall trees that surrounded the forest.

Star stretched her body as she stepped outside. This was her first time out since she died in the real world. If it wasn't for the thing on her neck, she would have transformed immediately and flown away, but she couldn't.

Even though she acted like she was fine, talking, fighting, and acting like nothing was wrong, she was pained deep down. A dragon like her was a slave to a human; it was unheard of.

Even though she wasn't a really powerful dragon, there was no way Xavier would be able to get her to be his slave if she hadn't died already.

If they had met in the outside world and Star wasn't able to win, she would have had the option to fly away, but down there, there was none.

Mira was in front this time since she was more familiar with the forest and Xavier turned around to see Star looking upward.

"Are you thinking of flying away?" Xavier asked.

"Why would I, even if I do, it's not like I can just up and leave...also, if we hadn't fought that duel, how do you think you'll hold me in the outside world?" Star asked.

"I had an elaborate plan that I'm not going to disturb you with, but I saw an opportunity and I took it. If you had remained calm, it wouldn't have happened," Xavier replied.

"So you took advantage of my anger and proposed the duel knowing fully well you'd win," Star said, her voice low, eyes still fixed on the sky above the trees.

Xavier didn't deny it. He walked beside her, his boots crunching over fallen leaves.

"You're right. From the way you spoke, I knew your temper would blind you. And I knew if you lost down there, I could do something like this," Xavier muttered, pointing to her neck.

Star let out a small laugh, but there was no joy in it. "Clever for a human. Cruel too."

"Cruel?" Xavier glanced at her.

"I gave you a choice. You wanted to fight, so we fought. You lost. That's not cruelty, it's just clever, and what if you had won"

Star's flames flickered faintly in her palms, but she quickly clenched her fists, killing the fire.

"You didn't have a plan, if it was outside even if you overpower me, I'll just fly away"

"Maybe," Xavier admitted, his voice calm. "But you didn't. You're here. And whether you hate me or not, you'll stay until I decide otherwise."

Star finally lowered her gaze, her lips pressed tight. "One day, Xavier… if I break free, I'll remind you that dragons don't serve humans."

Xavier smirked faintly but didn't argue. "I'll look forward to that, but for now we have things to do, we'll leave first thing in the morning"
