Chapter 153: Suspicious Nancy
Even if you're a virgin, unless some big boss specifically wants to take your virginity and is willing to pay a high price for a girl with a certain birth date, the going rate is really only around 1,000 or 2,000 dollars.
She wasn't shameless enough to ask for such a high price. Moreover, her relationship with Luis had been warming up lately, and she didn't want to ruin her image in his eyes.
Even if it was a romantic relationship, it was better to make it long-term rather than constantly switching partners like Ojhaka...
As she was speaking, Ojhaka walked in, and the heavyset man was no longer beside her.
She glanced at how the three of them were sitting. Luis was on one side, and the two girls were sitting together on the other.
She immediately sneered. "Yes, there are set meals outside. Let's just leave quickly after eating."
After saying that, she took the middle seat.
When paying the bill, she looked at them with contempt. Although the fat man had left impatiently, she firmly believed Luis was just pretending to be rich.
The biggest feature of this restaurant was its self-service grill and seafood bar. If you didn't have much money, you could sit outside, order a couple of dishes for $15 or $20, and leave. Normally, the cost of eating there wasn't high.
"Hello, I saw some lobsters when I walked in, right?"
Luis stopped the two girls and waved to call the manager over.
The manager chuckled and said, "Yes, but the lobster and prime cuts aren't part of the all-you-can-eat buffet."
The implication was clear. Although the buffet here was famous, if you really had money, you would still order the premium seafood separately instead of just eating the set meals.
Luis walked to the front of the tank and looked at the lively lobsters, king crab legs, and striped bass swimming inside.
He said, "These are the ones I want."
"Okay, sir, let me first explain the market price of the bass—"
Luis handed over his card and said unhappily, "Did I ask you the price?"
"I'm sorry, sir. I'll arrange it for you right away."
"Bring me everything in this tank," Luis said firmly.
Ojhaka was close enough to hear the manager swipe the card and hand it back. "Sir, the wild striped bass weighs four pounds, total price $320. With the discount, we'll include two bowls of lobster bisque for free."
"You're not trying to switch it for some cheaper fish, are you?"
"Of course not, sir. This is the real thing."
The $40 buffet versus the $1,000 seafood feast for three people — the difference was obvious.
Ojhaka didn't even take a few bites before slamming the door and leaving with a dark face. Leah and Avery were laughing so hard they nearly choked.
But Leah also felt a little distressed. She had spent a huge amount for her.
If her second sister or mother found out, they'd probably kill her.
When Leah got home, she ran back to her room like a thief. She'd already decided that if her mother or second sister asked, she would say it was a knockoff.
That afternoon, Nancy took Lily to a spa and salon. It had to be said that when it came to pampering, it was the elder sister who led the way. Now, under her influence, Lily had begun to think that women should dress up for themselves. In the past, she would never have been willing to spend the money.
Anyway, so many nice things were bought, and the two girls were smiling happily. Their laughter could be heard downstairs.
"Brother-in-law, my eldest sister asked us to go downstairs to wash our hair and do a facial mask."
Before Luis could think of anything mischievous, Leah ran out with Avery.
Luis smiled helplessly and played on the computer the whole afternoon. In the evening, Lily didn't dare drive, so she took a taxi to send them back to school. Luis was puzzled but couldn't do anything.
"Why did you buy such an expensive bag for Leah?"
Nancy came back first and said sternly, "She's still a student. If her mother knew, she'd scold you to death."
"It's just a replica."
Luis naturally cooperated with the lie.
Nancy's face hardened. "You can fool Lily, but you can't fool me. This is the latest model of a designer girl's bag. I've been seeing it in my friends' posts. Counterfeits haven't even hit the market yet."
"Besides, I saw the invoice."
Nancy's eyes flashed as she asked sharply, "Even if Lily doesn't know the value of other things, I do. Those crystal hair ties and jewelry aren't cheap."
Facing her questioning, Luis rolled his eyes. "Sister, I'm buying things for your sister. It's not that serious, right?"
"You haven't bought anything this expensive for Lily, so why would you buy one for her little sister? And why does Avery have one too?"
Nancy narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth. "Are you planning something bad?"
Ever since she'd crossed a certain line with Luis, their relationship had been tangled and confusing.
Nancy didn't know why she was so angry. Was she angry that her brother-in-law was spoiling her sister? Or was she simply jealous?
The more Nancy thought about it, the sadder she became. It would be one thing if only her sister had the bag — but why Avery too?
Faced with her aggressive questioning, Luis smiled faintly. "Big sister, you guessed it right. I'm just bribing you. I'm just being attentive."
"It's not easy to do anything with my sister-in-law, so I'll do it with Avery. She's young, beautiful, and I like her curves, so I plan to seduce her."
"Really."
Nancy sneered. "You're doing this to Lily right after she got pregnant? Are you kidding?"
"You can go ask her."
Luis said with a smile, "Sister, don't worry about this. You've made an invaluable contribution as well."
Nancy felt a pang of guilt. Luis handed her his phone and said, "If Lily knew, do you think she'd be angry?"
After reading the chat history between the couple, Nancy was stunned. She looked at Luis from time to time, even wondering if she was hallucinating.
