Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 139: Was Your Wife Cheated?

In the evening, Luis was woken up by a phone call and answered it somewhat puzzled.

"Luis, I dont have time to have dinner with you tonight. I have a case and need to go to the capital. You live in City Garden, right? I will be there soon. Treat me to a cup of coffee."

"Okay, Master's Wife."

Luis didn't dare delay. He immediately put on his clothes and ran downstairs.

At the Starbucks downstairs, Luis's eyes lit up when Winslet walked in.

A gray suit skirt outlined her mature and charming curves, and her beautiful legs under the short skirt were wrapped in black stockings and stepped into mid-heels, full of temptation. Just her figure alone attracted all men's attention as soon as she appeared.

Winslet wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, her hair naturally tied up, giving her a dignified charm. She wasn't a peerless beauty, but she was definitely a beautiful young woman.

"Little Luis has become so handsome."

Winslet was also stunned when she saw Luis, but she smiled after sitting down.

"Not at all, Master's Wife is the most stunning and charming. I hardly dare recognize you."

Luis's words weren't just flattery. Although he had contact with his master's wife when he was apprenticed to Fatty, Winslet was busy studying for exams at the time.

She wore men's clothes every day. To say she looked unkempt might be a bit exaggerated, but she definitely didn't wear makeup and was somewhat disheveled.

Back then, she wore black-framed glasses with lenses as thick as the bottom of a beer bottle, slightly twisted. Although it was obvious she had good features, she looked like a nerdy bookworm gone mad.

And now Winslet had transformed. With a little makeup, she had become a Legally Blonde. With a short skirt, black stockings, and gold-rimmed glasses, she was full of charm.

"So you're saying I was ugly before? Do you suspect I had plastic surgery?"

Winslet looked displeased.

"My master's wife is naturally beautiful. How could she possibly need plastic surgery?"

Luis joked, "I was just thinking how someone like my master could possibly deserve you. Other people's ancestral graves emit smoke, but his family's grave must have exploded."

Winslet's smile stiffened slightly, as if she didn't want to mention Fatty.

After taking a sip of coffee, she said softly, "You little brat, you definitely wouldn't think of me if nothing was wrong. Tell me, what difficulties have you run into?"

"As long as you don't borrow money, our mother-son relationship will remain strong."

Luis knew she was very busy today, so he didn't beat around the bush and explained his sister-in-law's situation. Actually, Chloe's situation was similar, so there was no need to go into too much detail.

"That's it? I know about Nova Media. Another lawyer has taken on the case."

Winslet crossed her legs, sipped her coffee, and said with a disdainful smile, "The so-called lawyer in their company is just a junior lawyer who just got his license. There are problems with how the contract was drafted."

"If you run into someone stubborn, just hire a lawyer to fight them. It'll drag on endlessly, and they won't end up paying a dime."

Luis's eyes lit up when he heard this: "So this lawsuit isn't difficult at all?"

Winslet laughed and said, "What do you think? I can just find an assistant to beat him half to death. He can only scare those who know nothing."

"A lawyer's letter is just a piece of trash. I can't guarantee I'll win if I sue you. There are always so many bizarre lawsuits I can't even begin to describe them all."

"Master's Wife, do you mean that if you step in, this matter can be resolved?"

"It's not a big deal. Generally, a junior lawyer would be willing to take it. There's no need for me to get involved."

Winslet asked with concern, "Was your wife cheated? If so, I will step in personally, and we can sue to annoy them."

"No, no, it's my sister-in-law and a friend of mine."

"Well, well... you kid."

Winslet narrowed her eyes and said with an ambiguous smile, "I admire your maturity at such a young age the most. You're even steadier than your master and never meddle in other people's business."

"Forget about my sister-in-law, there's another woman. Be honest, what's the relationship?"

Seeing her smile like that, Luis didn't feel comfortable hiding it, so he scratched his head and said, "There's some emotional involvement."

"My precious son has grown up, gotten married, and even has a lover. He's learned bad things too."

Winslet frowned slightly at first, seeming very dissatisfied with Luis's behavior. After all, she knew Luis was married and was acquainted with Lily.

Winslet also admired Lily very much, saying she was a model of marrying a virtuous wife. She kept praising Luis for his luck, saying even as a live-in son-in-law, having such a wife was a blessing.

Luis noticed she was a bit upset and immediately said timidly, "Master's wife, I wouldn't want to deceive anyone else, but especially not you. Please don't be angry, alright?"

Hearing this, Winslet's expression softened considerably. Upon closer thought, it made sense—mainly, she was just surprised that Luis had admitted everything so readily.

Her husband's apprentice wasn't related to her by blood, yet he had always shown her immense respect. Whenever there was a holiday, if he had time, he would definitely bring gifts to visit; if not, he would at least call.

Thinking this, Winslet's tone returned to its gentle warmth: "I just didn't expect you, you little rascal, to be so charming."

"Not really!"

Luis scratched his head sheepishly and said, "It's mainly because Master's Wife asked—I didn't dare lie!"

"You're a sensible boy after all."

Winslet checked the time, thought for a moment, and said, "Alright, tonight, bring them and the contract to my office and explain the situation clearly to my assistant."

"Keep a copy of the contract. I'll handle the specifics."

"Then don't worry about this lawsuit anymore. These kinds of nuisance lawsuits are just about who can outlast whom. Once the documents are organized, I'll send him a lawyer's letter first."

Winslet let out a cold, authoritative laugh: "Whether the court will even accept such a sham contract is another matter. Who does he think he's trying to intimidate?"
