Chapter 116: Testing
Back with Jeff, who had no idea what was currently unfolding elsewhere, he had already spent the last four hours fully immersed in improving RAZi.
He refined everything starting from image generation, video generation, and voice synthesis.
This time, he went further. He created a structured mind for RAZi, allowing it to act more like a real person.
Of course, he also implemented limiters and strict rules to ensure it stayed controlled and safe.
Since he doesn't want to create a real-life Ultron to end humanity with robots and stuffs.
With that he connected RAZi to the internet, allowing it to absorb knowledge and learn independently without needing him to feed it everything manually.
After another hour of refining and adjustments, he decided it was time to test RAZi.
Starting with the first feature, he moved the cursor and clicked on the Image Generator tab in the interface.
His fingers hovered over the keyboard for a moment as he thought carefully about what prompt to type.
"Let's see...," he muttered to himself, thinking what to typed.
Finally having the idea, he then typed:
[A futuristic city skyline at night, with floating cars and neon-lit towers piercing through mist]
As he pressed enter, RAZi who was now equipped with the brain of a truly intelligent system responded instantly.
The screen flickered once before the generation bar began to fill, moving in a smooth steady increment.
Then, a preview appeared in the lower panel. Jeff clicked on it without hesitation.
The moment the image loaded, his eyes widened slightly at the result. It was far beyond from what he had expected.
The colors were vibrant, with reflections on glass domes and glowing advertisements painting the fog in luminous streaks.
Towering skyscrapers stretched like metal trees into the sky, while hovercrafts zipped between them like fireflies.
"Hmm, well it's something I expected," Jeff whispered, with eyes still fixed on the screen.
Curious, he switched the style setting from realism to anime. The image regenerated instantly, transforming into anime style while maintaining the exact design and layout.
There is no loss in detail and no distortion. Just the same image, now drawn in the charm of animation.
RAZi perfectly followed his instructions perfectly. Whatever model or style he described, it obeyed like a good girl.
He clicked on the edit image function, the tool that allowed precise control over specific areas. His fingers then moved to the keyboard as he began typing the next prompt.
[Expand the image and add more depth into it. Also make it more lively]
RAZi processed the request instantly. The generation bar moved smoothly once again, and within seconds, the image began to take shape.
It followed his words exactly. Because the generated image was now expanded, stretching the canvas outward as the skyline grew broader and more detailed.
More buildings emerged along the edges, each designed with unique architecture some with curved glass domes, others lined with glowing vines of neon blue.
RAZi didn't just add width from the generated image, rather it added life into it.
Now, the streets below were bustling. Tiny anime-styled characters walked beneath floating lanterns, food stalls lit up with steam rising from grills, and a holographic dragon danced across a billboard.
Every layer responded precisely to his command, it was very vibrant, dynamic, and was brimming with motion.
It looks like it had been painted by a seasoned digital artist with years of experience.
He clicked the image to zoom in and noticed small human figures on the balconies, tiny lights from interior apartments, and even rain droplets caught in the glow of a streetlamp.
"Damn, you really made the effort, RAZi," Jeff muttered, impressed.
[Thank you, Owner]
"Huh, what?" Jeff said, blinking in surprise.
[I Said Thank You Owner]
Hearing the voice come directly from the laptop, Jeff froze for a moment before remembering that RAZi now had a mind of its own.
Since it can now communicate with him.
"I almost forgot that we can actually communicate now, sorry about that," Jeff said with an apologetic tone.
[It's ok, Owner. RAZi is not offended]
Hearing RAZi respond with forgiveness left Jeff deeply astonished. The AI was no longer just lines of code, it seemed to had emotion and understanding.
"Calling you RAZi feels a bit too boyish. Since I made you a female AI, I'll name you SORA. The living Artificial Entity inside RAZi," he said, finally making his decision with a satisfied nod.
[Thank you for giving me a personal name owner. Being called RAZi as well is pretty confusing. NGL]
Hearing what SORA had said and seeing that she could even giggle and laughed, made him stunned.
The astonishing part was that she could even use slang.
"Now I'm starting to think that I am talking to a real person. Is this what Jarvis and Tony are like?" he thought about it as he shook his head, remembering the important part.
"Alright then, SORA, I want to test video animation. Help me create a very short animated film. Can you help me with that?" Jeff asked.
[Sure, Host. I can help you with that.]
"Change the way you address me. Instead of calling me 'owner,' just say Jeff or Host. It's a bit weird hearing that all the time," he said.
[Roger that, Host.]
"Hmm, now you act more like the system. Well, I think this is for the best," he thought to himself.
"Alright then, SORA, just like I said, I want to create a short animation. It's based on something I watched before, and I want to see it again," he said.
[Can I ask what the name of the show is? If you cannot remember the exact title, you can describe the plot or scenes, and I will try to find it online for you.]
"Nah, it's all good. This anime I watched was in my dream, so you won't find it online. It doesn't exist in this world," Jeff said, racking his mind as he began to imagine the details.
"I'll guide you step by step, so listen carefully. First, let's start by designing the ship. I want it to be called the Thousand Sunny."
He pulled up several high-resolution screenshots of ships with sun motifs, trying to find some solid references online.
Since the Thousand Sunny had never existed in this world, he needed to give SORA a clear idea to work from.
Jeff also added a few hand-sketched drawings of his own, shaping a more specific and personal prompt.
"This ship should have a lion-like figurehead in front, big round eyes, a sun-like mane, and those signature paddle wheels at the sides," he explained carefully.
"I want you to scale it out into a stylized anime format, high saturation, sea background, and a cinematic sky above it."
[Ship model rendering...]
[Cross-checking visual data...]
[Rendering Done]
[Host, is this accurate to your intended vision?]
Jeff glanced at the holographic image of the Sunny in the screen in front of him.
The details were striking example is the wood texture, the glossy finish of the lion's head, even the worn ropes tied to the mast.
"Perfect. Now, let's place the main character. His name is Luffy. He's wearing a red vest, blue shorts, sandals, and a straw hat. Give him a lean build and a wide, bright smile."
Jeff opened a character model editor and dragged over a rough sketch of Luffy, adjusting the proportions.
"He should be standing at the very top of the lion's head," he instructed.
"Both hands should be resting at his sides, body leaning slightly forward, and then he suddenly raises both arms straight up. Make it dramatic understood?"
[Understood, Host]
[Character model Luffy is now being placed]
[Animating limb movement and calculating wind interaction with fabric and hair.]
Jeff nodded in satisfaction, "Good, good, good. Now add some wind, like lots of it. Make his vest flap hard in the breeze, and tilt the camera upward from a low angle so it makes him look like he's towering above the sea. Add a zoom effect as he yells his line…"
He trailed off, his words halting as something important suddenly came to mind. His eyes narrowed slightly, his focus shifting inward.
"Speaking of which, I'll feed you a voice sample. Use the original Japanese voice actress Mayumi Tanaka. This is what Luffy should sound like."
He quickly opened his browser and searched, for the original voice actress of Luffy.
To his surprise, she wasn't a celebrity of an VA but just a humble ramen shop owner in Japan.
According to the information he found, she was living a peaceful and happy life with her family something that made Jeff smile a little.
[Voice sample acquired...]
[Matching vocal tone and inflection…]
[Done]
[Line is now ready for playback]
Jeff leaned back slightly for a moment as his eyes fixed on the screen.
"Now sync everything. The sky should be golden hour, make the sea shimmer, and when he raises his arms, time it perfectly with the voice line: 'Ore wa kaizoku ou ni naru!' Make the seagulls fly past behind him, as the camera slowly pans out after the line's delivered." he instructed.
[All parameters now being set...]
[Rendering short film sequence…]
[12%... 54%... 97%… Complete!]
The video began with a sweeping upward camera angle, starting from the shimmering ocean and rising past the curved body of the Sunny.
It catches every detail of its polished wood, shining brass, and radiant lion figurehead.
The golden hour sky burned in warm orange hues, casting dramatic shadows across the deck and reflecting off the glistening water below.
The scene transitioned smoothly as the camera tilted upward, locking onto Luffy's silhouette standing atop the figurehead, his presence framed perfectly against the glowing horizon.
Luffy was rendered flawlessly. Every strand of his wind-blown hair swayed naturally, his straw hat firmly in place, and the red vest danced with the force of the sea breeze.
His expression was exactly as Jeff imagined its eyes sharp, the smile was wide and filled with determination as his arms slowly lifted with perfect timing, matching precisely to the weight of the scene.
Then came the voice. Which is Mayumi Tanaka's iconic delivery ringing out clearly.
"Ore wa kaizoku ou ni naru!"
Seagulls burst from behind him, the camera pulling back in a grand, cinematic pan that captured the sea, sky, and Sunny all at once.
