LoveNexus Corp: Wellbeing Agent

Chapter 2: And the Salary?

I am very happy with the reception of this story. Even though the first chapter was just communication to describe the setting of this world.

I also received several suggestions of Mamonos in interesting positions and occupations. I would like to give a shout out to SmittySmotty (archiveofourown), he made a list and the one that caught my attention right away was: Policewoman - Amazon or Hellhound. I hadn't thought of military Monster Girls and that gives a lot of fuel for smut-! I mean story... that's it, fuel for story.

LoveNexus Corp. – Where Innovation and Love meet!

"Let's start with the basics, Mr. Cruz," announced the melodious voice of the blonde sitting on the other side of the table.

The person interviewing Kleber Cruz was a beautiful woman with blonde hair tied in a tight bun, not a single strand out of place, while her blue eyes sparkled and stared at the young man sitting in front of her.

"What do you know about LoveNexus Corp?" asked the interviewer.

Without having any idea of the answer, Kleber sank into the chair, his shoulders slumped, his eyes blank. His hastily shaved beard and unkempt hair, tamed by an excessive amount of gel, spoke more than a thousand words about the moment he was at in his life. Until recently, his world was confined to the four walls of his room, the light from the monitor, his only contact with the outside world, and cheap instant food. Days merged into nights, and nights into days, as he drowned in a spiral of unemployment and loneliness.

"I just know it's a big company…" Kleber murmured, responding loud enough for the beautiful woman sitting on the other side of the table to hear. "It works in several areas and… is in several countries."

Strangely, the twenty-two-year-old's vague and uncertain answer put a smile on the interviewer's face, as if she reveled in his insecurity.

"You are correct, but you are missing vital information," the blonde commented, resting her elbows on the table, making her large breasts stand out even more in Kleber's view. "We are the largest and only company in the world that hires Mamonos. In fact, 90% of our employees are Monster girls."

"Mamonos… Monster girls?" Kleber repeated, confused.

The blonde arched an eyebrow, her blue eyes shining with a mixture of surprise and amusement.

"Don't you know what a Monster Girl is?" she asked, tilting her head, her golden hair cascading over her shoulders.

"No... not really. I was... I was unwell for a few months and was isolated." Kleber looked away, his face flushing. "I didn't follow the news."

"I understand," the woman replied, crossing her arms over her chest, her long, well-groomed nails drumming on her biceps. "Then allow me to clarify," she concluded, standing up.

The interviewer's elegant fingers, adorned with silver rings, moved slightly, as if testing the air around them. For a moment, everything was still. Then a subtle shadow spread across her feet, growing and wavering, as if the ground itself would suck in the light.

The shadow snaked, swallowing the light around the interviewer. Kleber, eyes wide, stumbled backward, the chair falling with a thud. His heart pounded in his chest, pumping adrenaline. Sweat dripped down his forehead.

It was as if his body was preparing him to run.

"W-what's going on?" Kleber stammered in a trembling voice.

Darkness enveloped the woman, covering her like a second skin. The blonde hair floated as if submerged, and the blue eyes shone, now with an intense violet tone. The transformation was grotesque and fascinating, each movement accompanied by a wet, viscous sound.

"Don't be afraid, Kleber," the voice echoed, now lower, deeper.

The shadow retreated, revealing the transformed figure.

Her hair, once platinum blonde, was now completely white. Her eyes, once blue, were now red. Such features would be enough to alarm Kleber, but her most aberrant features were the pair of black horns that sprouted from her head and the pair of wings and tail, both white, that seemed to emerge from her back.

The demonic beauty in front of Kleber smiled at the poor human's inability to even form a word.

"About a year ago, creatures from another dimension managed to establish contact with humans from this world. These beings live in a world where magic is a reality, they were interested in migrating here and were willing to pay dearly for it."

Swallowing hard, Kleber asked:

"Pay how?"

"Arcane knowledge, magical resources, and the reason that allows so many mamonos to cross the portal here… cheap labor."

Kleber's eyes widened at the statement.

"Did the governments of the world authorize an invasion in exchange for cheap labor?" Kleber questioned, astonished.

The creature in front of the human smiled, red eyes shining with a mixture of amusement and patience.

"Invasion?" she replied in a tone of false cruelty. "No, my dear, not like that."

The creature moved, white wings adjusting gently to her back. Every movement was fluid, almost hypnotic.

"Human governments understood the opportunity they were offered. A world where magic is real, where powerful creatures can be allies... or enemies." She paused, her red eyes fixed on Kleber. "They chose to make a deal. In exchange for gaining the resources I talked about, some mamonos gained permission to cross the portal and come to this world, as long as we follow certain rules."

Kleber frowned, his mind racing.

"Rules? What kind of rules?"

Once again, the seductive being smiled, this time showing more of her white teeth contrasting with her red lips.

"Simple rules like don't cause unnecessary harm, respect human laws," she paused, her eyes shining, "and, of course, provide labor by working for LoveNexus Corp."

Rising slowly from the ground, Kleber began to have many doubts about this 'treaty.'

"But if they are from another world… they don't have a government that represents them. Who is responsible for them? Who punishes them if they do something wrong?"

The interviewer's smile, once seductive, now became threatening. The red lips curled up, revealing sharp white teeth. The red eyes glowed with an intensity that made Kleber take a step back, his heart pounding in his chest.

"You ask who is responsible, Mr. Cruz?" Her voice echoed, deep and melodious, each word charged with power. "The answer is simple. The mamono who established the first contact, the same one who created and manages the portals with her magical power. The most powerful being to cross the portal into this world. A lilim, daughter of the Mamono Lord herself."

Kleber swallowed, eyes wide.

"This lilim controls all the mamonos in this world."

"Control? What do you mean?" Kleber asked.

"Each of the mamonos who work for LoveNexus Corp has magical runes engraved into their flesh and soul," she paused, her red eyes fixed on Kleber, "runes that connect them to the lilim. She knows their exact location, and can command them. And rest assured that she can punish them."

The room seemed to grow cold, the tension palpable. Kleber felt a shiver run down his spine, sweat running down his forehead.

"But... why would they accept this deal? How could the mamonos submit to this?"

The interviewer smiled, a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

"Of their own free will, Mr. Cruz." Her voice went back to being soft, almost sweet. "In return, they gained the opportunity to live in this world, to work, to integrate, and obtain what they most desire..."

The interviewer raised her hand, interrupting the barrage of questions forming in Kleber's head, and then pointed to the fallen chair.

"Please sit down," she said, her voice firm but gentle. "We still have an interview to complete."

Kleber blinked, his mind still reeling from the revelations, but he did as instructed and lifted the chair to sit in it.

"Excellent," she said, her red eyes fixed on Kleber. "Now, let's continue."

With a wave of her hand, a purple mist materialized, shooting toward the drawer of a nearby cabinet. Like a semi-liquid tendril, the smoke picked up a folder and brought it to the white-haired woman.

The interviewer opened the folder, her red eyes quickly scanning the contents.

"Now, in regards to the position you applied for," she said, her voice firm. "Wellbeing, the vague language in the ad was intentional. We need someone who can... 'interact' with the mamonos."

Kleber frowned, confusion on his face.

"Interact? What do you mean?"

The interviewer closed the folder, her eyes fixed on Kleber.

"Mamonos need mana, Kleber. Mana they obtain from men in many different ways, consuming their semen being the most effective."

The silence in the room was almost palpable, broken only by the distant sound of voices and footsteps in the hallway. Kleber blinked, his mind slowly processing the information.

"Semen? Are you saying that...?"

"Yes, Kleber," the interviewer interrupted, her voice soft but firm. "Mamonos need human semen to survive. At the moment, we keep them in small doses that we buy from sperm banks, which they consume orally."

"Is that why they're paying so well for donations?" he questioned in surprise.

" It looks like someone has been making donations in the last few months. " The demon woman said, humming to him.

Kleber's face immediately turned red with embarrassment.

"Far from me, Mr. Cruz. In fact, I am grateful for your assistance in providing such a delicacy." She punctuates the sentence by licking her lips as she stares at him intensely. "But unfortunately, this solution is not the most efficient... and that is where you come in."

Kleber swallowed, his face flushing.

"Me? But... how?"

The interviewer smiled, a smile that mixed fun and patience.

"You would be responsible for ensuring that the mamonos receive the mana they need. This will involve... physical interactions."

Kleber's gaze wandered around the room, as if looking for a way out.

"Physical interactions? You mean... sex?"

The interviewer nodded, her red eyes glowing.

"Exactly, Kleber. Sex is the most efficient way to transfer mana. And, as a Wellbeing Agent, you will be essential in ensuring that the mamonos remain healthy and productive."

Kleber slumped in his chair, his shoulders drooping.

"But... I don't know if I can do this. I've never... never done anything like that."

The interviewer leaned forward, her eyes softening.

"We understand your concerns, Kleber. But in return, you will receive a very generous salary, housing while you work with us, health insurance, and flexible hours."

Kleber's fear and uncertainty took a backseat as curiosity and greed blossomed in his mind.

"How much is the salary?"

A victorious smile spread across the interviewer's face, who responded by humming.

" Forty-five hundred dollars ."

Kleber's eyes immediately widened.

"Per m-month?" Kleber asked, stuttering.

"Week," replied the white-haired woman, smiling predatorily.

LoveNexus Corp. – Where Innovation and Love meet!

Kleber followed the interviewer through the labyrinthine corridors of the enormous building, his mind still reeling from the revelations of the interview. The building was an architectural marvel, with glass walls offering panoramic views of the city below. The setting sun painted the sky in shades of orange and pink, reflecting off the distant skyscrapers.

The interviewer walked with firm steps, her white wings folded elegantly behind her back. Kleber tried to keep up with the rhythm, his eyes wandering over the luxurious details of the environment. The marble floors sparkled in the soft light of the pendant chandeliers, and the walls were adorned with works of modern art.

"Here we are," she announced, stopping before a black wooden door reinforced with silver plates bearing symbols the young human did not understand. With a gentle touch, the door slid silently, revealing a modern apartment that could easily be mistaken for a luxury hotel room.

Kleber entered, eyes wide. The apartment was spacious, with minimalist decor that exudes elegance. The living room had a white leather sofa, a glass coffee table, and a flat-screen TV hanging on the wall. The kitchen was equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, and a dark wood dining table completed the space.

"This will be your apartment, Kleber," the interviewer explained, her voice soft. "Everything you need is here. Fully furnished, the refrigerator is stocked, and you have access to all the building's services via the smartphone you provide."

Kleber walked to the window, looking out at the stunning view of the city. The sky was now a blanket of stars, the lights of the buildings twinkling like jewels.

"It's... amazing," he murmured, his voice low.

The interviewer smiled, her red eyes shining.

"We're glad you like it. Now, you must be tired. Rest well, Mr. Cruz. Tomorrow will be a busy day."

With that, she turned to leave the apartment.

"Wait!" Kleber exclaimed, stopping the woman. "I j-just wanted to say thank you for everything… and for this chance."

Smiling, the beautiful woman approached, sliding across the floor as if she were floating towards the human.

"Thank me, by doing your best, cutie."

Embarrassed by the compliment, Kleber swallowed hard and asked his last question.

"Could you tell me your name?"

The interviewer laughed loudly, the sound echoing throughout the apartment. Kleber took a step back, surprised by the reaction.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Cruz," she said, still laughing. "How rude of me, I didn't even introduce myself properly."

She took a step back, her eyes shining with an intensity that made Kleber break out in a cold sweat. With a snap of her fingers, black flames enveloped her body, consuming the suit she wore within seconds. Kleber watched, mouth open, as the flames danced around her without hurting her. When the flames died down, they revealed an elegant black dress with red details, which hugged her curves perfectly.

"I am Lady Yzhilde, Rune Mistress," she announced, her voice soft but firm. "The lilim CEO of LoveNexus Corp."

Kleber blinked, trying to process the sudden transformation. The dress highlighted Yzhilde's ethereal beauty, the white wings contrasting with the dark fabric.

Yzhilde raised her hand, her index finger glowing with pink flames. Kleber stepped back, eyes wide, but she moved forward, determined. With a gentle touch, she pressed her finger against his chest, drawing a rune on his skin that looked like a heart with a padlock. The heat from the flames didn't burn, but Kleber felt a pulsating energy spread throughout his body.

"What... what is this?" he asked, his voice shaking, looking at the glowing rune on his chest.

Yzhilde smiled, her red eyes shining with a mixture of satisfaction and tenderness.

"This rune is different from the others that the Monster Girls have. I have no power over you. This rune will protect you from the corruption of the mamonos' mana."

Kleber frowned, trying to understand.

"Corruption? But I thought... that mamonos were..."

"Mamonos are creatures of desire and pleasure, Kleber," Yzhilde interrupted, her voice soft but firm. "But their mana can corrupt humans, making them a perfect Incubus husband… or an Alp."

"Alp?" Kleber questioned, curious.

"You would basically turn into a beautiful girl, hungry for-.."

"OK!" Kleber exclaimed, raising his hands, silencing her. "Thank you for the protection."

Yzhilde smiled, her red eyes shining with a mixture of satisfaction and tenderness.

"Remember that early tomorrow, you begin your new life."

Kleber tilted his head curiously while Yzhilde took a step back, her white wings opening slightly.

"You will also meet your guardians. They will be responsible for your safety and well-being here at LoveNexus Corp."

LoveNexus Corp. – Where Innovation and Love meet!

Kleber stared at his own reflection in the bathroom mirror, the toothbrush paused between his lips. His eyes, tired and empty, reflected the pain he still carried. The last few months had been a blur of loneliness and despair, each day merging into the next in unbearable monotony.

Water ran down the sink, the constant sound echoing through the silent bathroom. He spat out the toothpaste, watching the white foam disappear down the drain.

Now that he had calmed down after the interview, the negative feelings had once again spread within his mind.

"It's not fair…" muttered Kleber in a tearful tone.

The loss still hurt, an open wound that refused to heal. The love of his life, the person who had been his safe haven, was gone. And with her, a part of Kleber also died.

He turned off the tap, the sudden silence weighing on his shoulders. Turning around, he took off his clothes and went to take a hot shower before bed.

The job he just got was more than a chance to recover his drained finances. It's an opportunity to start over, to find a purpose again. The money would be a help, of course, but more than that, it was the possibility of rediscovering oneself, of finding a new reason to move forward.

"I can do it," he said to himself, placing his forehead against the wall.

Kleber closed his eyes, letting the hot water from the shower wash away the day's exhaustion. Steam rose, fogging the tiles, creating a cocoon of heat that isolated the outside world. Tense muscles began to relax, mind wandering to painful memories and fragile hopes.

While Kleber was distracted, lost in his thoughts, a metallic sound echoed through the bathroom. The bathtub tap, which had been closed until then, began to turn on its own. The crunch of metal on metal broke the silence, an ominous warning that Kleber missed.

The water from the shower masked the sound, but the faucet continued to move, as if an invisible hand was controlling it. When it finally stopped, a viscous red liquid began to flow slowly down the pipe, spreading across the white bathtub, contrasting grotesquely with the purity of the environment.

The liquid flowed, filling the bathtub with a substance that pulsed. It behaved as if it were alive, stacking on the corner so as not to get close to Kleber's feet, who was still oblivious to the horror that was unfolding right behind him.

The red liquid began to move, rippling as if it had a mind of its own. Shapes formed themselves on the surface, twisting and growing upward.

Kleber's breathing, slow and deep, was the only sound that filled the room, besides the constant dripping of water. The shadow on the wall grew, lengthening, gaining more defined shapes. The substance in the bathtub began to rise, gaining volume, its silhouette taking on a feminine humanoid shape, but one that did not belong to anything human.

A shiver ran down Kleber's spine, a primal warning that brought him out of his trance. He opened his eyes, his heart racing. Something was wrong. He felt it in his bones, but he couldn't identify what.

The steam from the shower made it difficult to see, but he noticed the shadow on the wall. A sudden fear invaded him, a dread that froze his veins. He turned off the shower, the sound of the water stopping abruptly. The silence that followed was heavy, oppressive.

He turned around slowly, eyes wide, heart pounding in his chest. The bathtub was filled with a red, pulsating liquid, a moving, breathing mass. And on the wall, the shadow continued to grow, more and more threatening.

"Eeeh...?" Kleber's voice cracked, fear stealing his words.

The shadow moved, sliding along the wall, getting closer. Kleber backed away, his feet slipping on the wet floor. Panic took over, but he couldn't look away from the grotesque shape rising from the bathtub.

"Hiiiiiiiii," the creature said in a sweet and happy voice.
