Love in the virtual air

As I stood before crazy boss, who had requested my presence in his office, I couldn't help but feel a sense of fear and anxiety wash over me. The air was filled with tension, and I could feel my heart racing awaiting my judgement.

As I waited for him to begin, I felt a sudden discomfort as water sweat soaked through my shirt. Crazy boss seemingly oblivious to my distress, sat down in his comfy office chair, crossing one leg over the other. He motioned his hands signalling me to take a seat.

"Good morning, sir" I greeted trying my best not to stutter. He stared at me for a while before opening his mouth to speak.

"Morning, Xiao Wei. How've you been. I hope you enjoyed your work break!" He rhetorically questioned. It seems weird because of the fact he's acting so nice and it sends shivers down my spine.

"U-um, sir, it's Xiao Yue and thank you for the work break" I smiled awkwardly since he was also doing the same. Just get to the point!

"Ok! I'll get to the point. As we all know, you're dating Jiang Guangyu, congrats on that. So…are you willing to convince him about the proposal. I know it's quite impolite but we have to grasp this chance, you're team 1 only hope." He pleaded.

"I think you got it all wrong, sir. We are not dating!" I denied. How could I date someone like jiang Guangyu, a mere photo can't prove anything.

"No need to cover it up. We all saw the video" I furrowed my eyebrows to what he said signalling 'what video' so he brought out his phone from his blazer pocket and showed it to me.

It thought it was all okay until I saw jiang guangyu. At that time, I had fainted. He confessed that we were actually together. My eyes widened as they met crazy boss eyes. "No! it's not true, it's a lie. We are not in that kind of relationship, okay? I'll straighten everything out with him, tomorrow".

"Break up with him and you'll question your existence" Crazy boss threatened. He says it like I'm actually with Jiang Guangyu. We're not dating, why should we break up?

"No, I can't be his girlfriend. I'm already taken. And I can't play with someone's feeling just for the sake of work. Sorry, but we have to hand this over to team 2" I sighed.

"Fine! I guess I have to do this. If he doesn't accept our proposal, you are fired! We only have 72 hours to shoot advert".

No way! Is he threatening me with my work. I'll rather get fired than cheat on Qin Liang. I stormed out of his office and stomped my feet on the floor when I got to my desk. Now that I think of it, why does my desk have to be next to the crazy boss. I could feel his stares as I sat and turned my chair.

After a while, I had finished the work I had to do and I felt a little sick so I thought of asking crazy boss if I could leave. I was about knocking on his office door when memories of what happened in the morning replayed in my head. 'I'd rather die than enter his office' I muttered as I went back to my desk. The headache got unbearable but I tried to motivate myself to wait a little more, it's just 5 hours till we all can leave, I can do this.

"Xiao Yue, you don't look so good" One of my colleagues asked due to the fact I was sweating so much. "Are you okay?" she asked as I did not reply her first statement.

"Yh I am, just feeling a bit tired" I lied. She looked so worried but left after giving me a little tap on the back. What exactly is wrong with my body. I felt a little dizzy and immediately my eyes shut.

I woke up to the sound of rumbling keys. It was as if the door was being locked. I immediately jolted up from my seat and looked at the wall clock. Oh, no! it's late already, how long did I sleep? All my colleagues and crazy boss had already gone off work. How could they just leave me here? Am I invincible, they'll have at least woken me up, Such heartless humans. On the other hand, the janitors had locked the door and was about leaving with the keys, so I ran to the door. "Excuse me! miss…miss" I shouted but to no avail. It felt like she couldn't hear me.

Now I'm stuck here all alone, without food. I can't stay here for the night, I have to meet with, I have to meet with Jiang guangyu tomorrow. The only good thing is that my headache has gone. I must find a way out.

I decided to walk around to see if I could find anything, maybe a secret passage like in movies or a tunnel at least. I entered crazy boss office when I came across a book shelf I had never seen, maybe it's because crazy boss does not let us snoop around his office. A book shelf, a-ah! I've seen in many movies where a book shelf leads to some kind of secrete passage or tunnels. I can try my luck. I slightly gave the book shelf a little push and to my surprise, there was a room. It looked like a gaming room.

There was a long desk with laptops on it, there was also gaming suits and a big television in front of the long desk. I was so fascinated but what I didn't really understand was the button that says 'don't push'. I came closer to have a good look at it, then there was a sudden urge to push it. I was about to do so when I heard a sound. I quickly hid behind the desk and stretched out my head a little. There was no one so I assumed I was just seeing things.

I left the room immediately and decided not to pry into crazy boss private life. I couldn't stop thinking of possible conclusions to what I saw in that room. Anyways, I guess I'll have to spend the night here.
