Love in the virtual air

It seemed awkward as I sat in front of a man in a romantic restaurant. it looked like we both did not put much effort in our dressing. I'm still wondering why he put on a nose mask and a black cap.

"u-um, do you mind taking off the nose mask?" I awkwardly asked breaking the silence. He shook his head before crossing his legs.

"Let's get down to business. Why did you want to meet me" He asked curiously like he had no time to spare.

"Ok…I want to apologize for my rude behaviour and thank you for paying the hospital bills and saving me from crazy boss" I apologized. It frightened me a little when he chuckled. Do I look like a fool or what?

"Crazy boss, uh?" he joked and I could feel there was a smirk plastered on his face. "Is that all?"

"Yes…I mean no. I would really appreciate if you could take off the mask" I sincerely pleaded but he shook his head. I really want to see the face of my saviour and know who he is because he talks like he's one of those higher up, it'll really be disappointing if he isn't. So, I kept on pleading. I even went as far as trying to pull it off myself.

"Fine, but only this once. Promise you wouldn't shout or tell anyone about your encounter with me." he finally agreed so I nodded as I moved closer to get a better view. He gently took off the mask as I watched intently. My jaw dropped and my eyes widened, he is…he is…his name couldn't come out of my mouth due to the surprise but I forced it.

"The heir to the jiang gaming industry, Jiang…" before I could finish, he cupped my mouth using his hands and dragged me to a corner.

It was still so surprising as Jiang guangyu whispered words I couldn't quite understand because I wasn't listening. I just stared blankly as I recalled all what I've done and said about him. I was called back to reality when he snapped his fingers which made me flinch.

I pinched myself to see if it was a dream as I stood in the same spot but it wasn't, it was real. I just met with the heir to the jiang gaming industry, his father had always been my model. However, Jiang guangyu produces songs, it has been rumoured that he might not take on the legacy of his father and jiang gaming industry may fall when his father dies. I hailed a taxi as soon as I got out of the restaurant. throughout the ride, I only thought of jiang guangyu before I got a message from Qin Liang.

Qin Liang: it's okay, I didn't also stay for a long time. Sorry for replying late. Anyways, how are you?

Me: I'm okay; just feeling a bit shocked and stressed

Me: Yh, I'll love to but I can't right now because I'm still processing everything.

Me: Yh thank you, just need time to think.

Me: Ok…bye!

I turned off my phone as I arrived at my home. Qin Liang seems like a busy person. He's no more like he was when we started dating.

"Do it now" a lady's voice echoed. She stood in a very dark and cranky place; the only source of light was from sunlight that shone through the small and tight windows. Bags of sand, rice and flour surrounded her. It looked really hard to breath in a place like that but she stood there perfectly fine. A man was by her side, he looked like he was in his late thirties, his body were full with blisters and scars like he had been beaten every day, he held a phone in his hands and immediately a click sound could be heard as he clicked on something on his phone.

After a while the lady let out a loud laugh and the man joined in. "Now let's watch the action unfold. The stage is set, let the consequences begin".
