Chapter 56: 2.9: Let's Clear Some Air
"Even an angel couldn't stand your temper," says Lin. She carefully changes the cotton gauze on Kim's hand while gazing at her little brother. Although she's a bit disappointed and disapprove on Kim's treatment towards Han, she's still aware that he is not in a good condition.
"I never ask for help, phi..."
"Everyone helps you because we care. Han helps you because he cares about you," Lin replies. She can see Kim's eyes waver as he turns his head away, looking outside the sliding door that connects the room with the balcony.
"That's why, I don't want him to help me..."
"Nong, look at me..." Lin taps Kim's hand softly, making her little brother puts his focus on her. "Han is a nice boy. No one ever cares about you like him. For all these years, all of your friends; except Seth and those student council members, they were nothing but a trash! Did you realize that? Or, should I mention some names to clear your mind?" asks Lin, tilting her head and stares at Kim with her judging eyes.
"I know. Even I treat them like a trash sometimes. So, what's the difference with Han anyway?"
"Han never treats you like that. He devours all his time and effort to take care of you. Even mae likes him! Por even asked me, where did you meet this boy, he's such a sweet boy!"
Kim blinks his eyes, looking at Lin while trying to hold his tears. He knows, Han has been treating him and cares a lot about him. Since he got hospitalized, until he got discharged, the boy never leaves his side. He always supports him, nurture him with love. And never ask for anything in return. Even though Kim is aware of Han's feeling to him, the boy never begs him to accept those.
He has been sincere since day one.
"Because he is a nice boy, I can't let him waste his time and effort for me..." Kim, again shifting his sight away from Lin, as his voice rattles in his chest. "I never treat him right. I push him away. I don't think he deserves someone like me to be love."
Lin sighs. As she studies Kim, deep inside her heart, she feels like this little young man has been in a intersection of life. Afraid, confused, anger and devastation.
"Kim, you're my nong. No one knows you better than me and Yim. You're not a bad person to the bone," Lin non-chalantly replies to Kim. She drags Kim's face so he can face her.
"If you keep your feelings to yourself, even until the world ends, no one will ever know. You might live in a daze and confuse for the rest of your life. It's torturous, right?" Lin softly talks to Kim, caressing his hand in between words.
The boy stares at Lin, a brink of tears appear in his eyes. He looks at his sister, as the girl softly smile at him. Lin is a tough and savage girl, but when it comes to her siblings, she will give her all, as long as they are happy.
There's nothing wrong in Kim's life for him to be afraid of the judging society. He has parents who always support and love him, siblings who always make him happy, friends who always around unconditionally; like Seth.
And, a man who is willing to die for him like Han.
"I can't understand the feeling, phi. In some part, I feel this is wrong. Out of norm. But, at the same time, it's too strong for me to reject it," Kim shuts his eyes tight.
"Han comes like a typhoon, wrecking everything that I think I already know about love. I guess, it's more than what I know all these times," Kim slowly peels off his feelings at Lin. After that, no words coming from him.
"Maybe if you open your heart, or your mind, you'll find your answer. I never ask you to take a leap, anyway..." Lin turns around. She takes a phone on the side table and hands it to Kim. "At least, you should clear some air. Your mind is fogging right now..."

Han slowly hangs out his left hand from inside the car as he reads the text from Kim one more time.
"I'll wait for you at the parking..."
"No need to. My dorm is just across the building–"
"You should go home," says Daou. "It's been two weeks since you visit your mothers."
"I need to clear everything with Senior Kim. If this is the end, I wanna make sure we end it in a good way," Han replies calmly. He stares at Daou and unconsciously frowns.
"You should clear things with P'Inn, too. Don't let everything hang, just like that. I know this is just another banter between you two. So, don't let it drag too long," Han pats Daou on his shoulder. His friend just stares at him, no words coming out of him.
Looks like Han already know what's inside his mind. There's no need for him to talk about it. Perhaps, it's too normal for him and his boyfriend to fight. At least, for Han.

Han holds the knob and turns it aroud so the door will open from the outside. He walks carefully into the dorm, as he eyes waver around, looking for a present of anyone in the house.
"Senior..."
"Why are you late?" Kim turns his head while sitting on the bed, frowning his brows.
"Daou took me for dinner. The restaurant is quite far from here," says Han. He takes his seat next to Kim. Both of them look outside the window.
"I did saw you screwed a girl from my room," says Han. He sneers as his head shaking from left to right in a constant rhythm.
"I know. That's why I put out a show. I know you can see me, even with the curtain close," Kim's reply causing a smile forms on Han's face.
"You can sign up for OnlyFans, you know..." says Han.
Both of them chuckle as they continue looking at the scenery in front of them. Slowly, Kim's hand is looking for something to grab.
Or, perhaps, someone's hand to grab.
As his hand wonders subtly, Han softly grabs the hand and pins it onto the soft bed. His eyes might still glue on the scenery, but he knows Kim's hand is brushing his skin softly.
"Reject me if you want, senior. But, I wish only for a thing..." Han blinks his eyes. Tears rolling from his eyes as he turns his head and watches Kim. The man hangs his head low, looking at his laps.
"At least, let me be your friend, senior. I don't mind, as long as I can be by your side."
Kim gets more overwhelmed by Han's words. He doesn't realizes when tears rolling from his eyes as he lifts his head and lock gaze with Han.
"So, you decide to leave?" that's the only words Kim can utters.
"I hate to see you in pain, senior. Emotional pain is worst than a thousand punch on someone's body. I rather get punch, anyway..."
For that, Kim balls his fist and punch Han right onto his shoulder. The junior winces as he sneers while grabbing his shoulder.
"Senior Kim-!"
"Ai sutt! Who ask you to leave?!"
Han blinks his eyes in disbelief. Kim sneers as he clamps both of his hand onto both of Han's cheeks, and gives the man a deathly stare.
"If you ever leave me again, I'mma punch you until you die. Got it?" Kim gives a stern warning to Han. The boy nods, slowly draws a smile onto his face as soon as he realizes Kim's decision. He's dying to hug the senior, but that will hurt so bad for him. So, instead of a hug, Han softly caresses Kim's cheek.
The night ends with them entwine their heart in peace. For Han, it's a good news as he can pursues Kim openly by now. And for Kim, well, future is uncertain, so he decided, for once, he just want to follow his heart.
As simple as that.
