Chapter 49: 2.2: Regrets

"I swear to God, last Saturday was the most confusing night I ever had in my life..." says Seth.

"Yeah, it's been a long time since we were having fun and get together. Can't believe we all got wasted so bad..." says Kitty.

The seniors currently hang out at the student council's office while packing things to move to the new room at the third floor. The room that they reside now is a mobile room for the orientation. As the end of the program approaching, they are ready to empty the room.

"I still couldn't digest what happened after we had a drink..." Lauring sighs.

"You're too drunk to even open your eyes!" Kitty smacks Lauring's shoulder with a piece of cardboard.

"Did you manage to reach your room?" asks Seth. Lauring nods her head heavily.

"Consider yourself lucky. At least, you were in your room, not end up in someone's else room!"

Kitty's words pierce deep inside some people in that room. Kim chokes on his drink. While Zee suddenly turns his sight away, avoiding eyes contact from everyone.

"You drink like a baby, Kim!" Seth passes him a tissue box. The man glares at him, eyes squints like a cat that hunts for a mouse.

Kim's face turns red like he has a fever when he recalled the incident that happened to him that night. He can't help but feeling sick. How he wish he could bury himself into the ground and never reborn again!

Kim sighed in pain. Those movement and voices bothered him a lot. His head still in pain. It felt like someone had drilled his skull all the way to his brain. Not to mentioned his back. All of his body aching like he got hit by a truck last night.

But, he had to wake up now. He remembered promising a girl for a date. That cute Pan Asian girl that he met yesterday morning at the cafe. She must be waiting for him.

And for that, Kim opened his eyes.

Right at the moment, he wasn't feeling like himself anymore.

"Morning, senior..."

Never for once, Kim wakes up in a real terror. Yes, he has a good number in his one-night stand record, but he never wakes up the next morning, feeling so horrified.

Like that very morning.

Instead of yelping or screaming, Kim shuffled away from the man but end up fell from the bed.

"Senior, are you okay?" Han jumped down from the bed to check on Kim, but the man refused the touch made by the junior.

"Get off your hands from me!"

"I just wanna-"

"What happened last night? Did we-"

Han shuts himself. He mustered his will to tell the truth. But, no words coming from his mouth after he saw how terrified Kim was at the moment.

"I'm... Sorry... Senior Kim..."

Kim's eyes enlarge. He hastily stood up and started collecting his clothes on the floor. He wimped in pain a bit but he tried to fight the feeling.

"Stop. What are you doing?" Han asked.

"What do you think? I need to get the hell out from here!" Kim donned his pants in hurry. Han quickly stopped him.

"What are you doing?! Let me go!"

"You need to calm down, now..."

"How can I ease myself? Look at our state now!"

"Does it feel awkward for you?"

"Of course it is!"

Kim's reply made Han frowned. But, he still refused to let the man go.

"You never had a one-night stand?"

Kim pulled his hand from Han and continued wearing his clothes. Watching Kim almost ready to leave, Han grabbed him into his embrace from back.

"What are you doing, sutt?"

"You can't leave now..."

"Ai shia, let me go!"

"You better listen to me, or you'll be in a deep trouble!"

Kim pushed Han away from him.

"Wake up in this room with you is already a trouble for me. What's more anyway?" he asked.

Watching Kim staring at him in pain made Han felt heartbroken. He realized what he did was a wrong move. At first, he only wanna teased Kim. But right now, it's not even funny anymore.

"Listen, if you come out from this room just like that, you'll meet my moms right away. They're downstairs, preparing for breakfast," said Han.

That's when Kim stopped moving.

"Mo..ms?"

Han sighed, his finger softly fixed Kim's curtain bangs. Then, he slowly let his hand slid on Kim's shoulder, brushed off some threads and hair strains. He stared deep into that man, whom he has a crush.

"We were too drunk. I brought you back to my house instead of the dorm because I couldn't even drive. I asked the driver to pick up us last night," Han explained.

Kim stuttered. He wanted to ask something to Han but he bit his tongue. As much as it, he wanted to know. But, he was too scared because he knew, curiosity kills the cat.

"Did we..." Kim shut himself again. His feelings kind of mixed right now. Han's head hanging low now.

Last Night...

"You made it on purpose, did you?" Kim grabs Han by his collar. The younger smirks as he softly grabs the senior's hand and pulls it down.

"So, you think you can get close to Pan? I don't think so, Senior Kim," Han replies.

"What's with you and her, huh? Are you her boyfriend?" Kim asks Han with a harsh tone.

Instead of answering his senior, Han steps forward a bit so he can hover over Kim. They have a similar height, so their nose almost touch each other.

"If I told you that I wanna pursue her, do you have a problem with that? " asks Han. His voice becomes monotone and deep.

"Yes. Because I wanna pursue her as well!" Kim dares to fight Han. There is no way he'll back off from the fight. He's a senior, how can he lose to a junior!

"Then... I have no choice..." Han pulls Kim into his embrace and kisses his lips hard. He takes out his phone and clicks a picture. Kim realizes Han's action and immediately pushes the younger away.

"Ai sutt! What are you doing?!"

"Lowering your chance," Han smirks at Kim. He shows him the picture.

"Delete the photo! Now!"

"I'm gonna keep it until I feel like the coast is clear. Until then..." Han leans his lips closer to Kim's ear. "Practice your kissing skills. You suck!" Han gives Kim a snarky look.

Kim can't hide his frustration anymore.

"What did you say?!" the senior grabs Han on his shoulder.

"You. Suck! Kissing you feels like kissing a dead fish," Han mocks Kim.

Kim can't take the insult anymore. He pulls Han towards him, gaps his lips, and kisses the boy hard. He nibbles Han's down lip, making the boy grunt.

"Feels like a dead fish now?" Kim asks Han after he pulls away.

"I don't know. Should we try again?" Han smirks at the senior.

***

"Yep. That's what happened... Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about this..."

"That doesn't matter! But, I just wanna know if we... Slept.."

Even that word felt like a sharp dagger slicing his heart.

Instead of answering the question, Han stared at Kim with a pitiful expression.

"I'm leaving..."

"Senior, wait! Please don't barge out like that. My mom will put a suspicious on us. If we act normal, she won't say anything. Please... I'm doing this for you," Han begged. Kim grimaced in frustration.

Finally, after taking accounts on many possibilities, Kim agreed to come down with Han in a normal way. He felt like shit but he is not a rude person. Han looked enlightened, making Kim felt even more frustrated.

But, he still playing along.

They descend the stairs and walk together towards the dining table. From far, he could see two ladies enjoy their breakfast in peace. Immediately, he recognized one of them.

"Dean... Anananda?"

A lady with a black bob hair lifted her head and look at him.

"Ao, Kim?"

"Ma'am... Is this your house?" Kim asked.

"Yeah. I live here. So, you two... Friends?" Rae put her coffee mug on the table. The other lady, with a grey hair, quickly moved from her seat so Kim and Han can sit next to each other.

"Han? Oh, he is my... Junior..." Kim sat down politely, facing the lady with the gray hair.

"Ah... That's good! If my son gives you a hard time, just let me know, okay?" Rae smiled.

"Son?" Kim glared at Han. The boy made a poker face, picked up the dishes for him.

"Ao, he didn't tell you about it?"

Kim shook his head.

"Son, you kept the secret again! Are you ashamed of us, huh?" the lady in the gray hair jokingly scolded Han.

"He always keep his identify from everyone. Maybe he doesn't wanna feel the pressure. Being a son to a Dean and a lecturer, people keep expecting more from him. So, don't take it too hard, okay?" said Rae.

Kim softly nodded.

"Oh, by the way, this is my fiancee, Thyme Wong," Rae introduced the lady to Kim. He gestured a wai to the lady.

"I'm happy to meet Han's friends. Ever since he enroll at InterTech, he met a lot of good people. Last time, we met those two girls; Yara and Pan. Today, it's you,"

Thyme greeted Kim with a bright expression. Kim can only flashed a fake grin, deep down inside, he truly want to die.

"Senior Kim is among the best student in my faculty. He's a nice senior, too..." Han glared at him with a smile.

I don't know if that's a compliment or a sarcasm! Kim can only smile.

"I hope you can guide Han properly. This crazy boy always cause trouble at school when he was a teenager. I can see he's changing a lot after enroll in InterTech," said Rae.

Kim and Han exchange look, then quickly look away when they realize what just happened last night.

Breakfast ended just like that, with some more conversation that never implant into Kim's brain. The only thing that he cared more was how to get away from the house.

Lucky for him, Han seemed to sense his awkwardness in front of his mothers, so he asked a permission to send Kim home.

The journey back home was easy breezy but it was a bit tense. Both Kim and Han shut themselves, focusing on different things. Maybe the estranged feeling still there.

"Thank you..." Kim was about to get out from the car before Han grabbed his forearm.

"Senior..."

"I don't wanna talk about it,"

"Okay. But, you have to be responsible for what you did to me..."

Kim frowned and sighed. He turned his head, facing Han who was staring at him with his puppy eyes.

"I won't hold anything until you tell me the truth. You are lying to me, I know your nature so damn well," Kim refused.

Han's eyes drop down, looking at his hand that stopped Kim from leaving his car. He took a moment before staring back at him.

"It was my first time. I never done it before. Moreover, I... I..."

"Just fucking spill it!"

"I was the bottom!"

Kim grimaced in pain. Looking at innocent Han, he cursed himself so bad.

"It's my first time, senior..."

"I don't know..."

"You're evil!"

"I am? Obviously it was you who took advantage on me!"

"If it's true, why am I the bottom?!"

Kim almost smashed the window.

"You sneaky little brat!"

"If you refuse, I'll tell everyone about us!"

"Are you blackmailing me?"

Han nodded.

"Fine! I will take responsible for that! But, we will never gonna be a thing, ever! Understand?!"

Han immediately smiled like a fool. He softly carressed Kim's head, patting his hair as if Kim is his child.

"Thank you, Senior Kim. So, from now on, we will take care of each other. Promise?" Han stick out his pinky.

Kim reluctantly entwined his pinky with Han. They boy looked enlightened after that. Kim couldn't stand the feeling anymore. He quickly got off the car and dashed towards his dorm building.
