Inside the Mysterious Study Room, Rosen had been fixated on the development of the Nightmare on Elm Street virtual realm for two sleepless days and nights. Alchemical potions kept him awake and alert as he meticulously guided the realm to maturity. Over this time, Rosen tapped into the psychic link of the Grey Rat People twice more, spreading the "keys" to his realm. The second attempt succeeded smoothly, but during the third, the Grey Rat leader traced the psychic connection back to Rosen.

Narrowly escaping to his Mysterious Study Room, Rosen avoided being overwhelmed by the Grey Rats. Now, elite Grey Rats patrolled outside, waiting for any sign of his return. Leaving the Mysterious Study Room meant certain capture.

As the virtual realm absorbed the last souls from the Grey Rats, Nightmare on Elm Street began transitioning from a virtual realm into a fully materialized spiritual realm. Once again, Rosen faced a critical choice: should he merge the new realm into the Spiritual World, or further integrate it into the Hunter x Hunter world?

Rosen chose the latter, understanding that, for now, his Sequence 9 power was insufficient to properly exploit a Sequence 7 realm within the broader Spiritual World. Integrating it into Hunter x Hunter would give him more immediate control and utility.

With that decision, a bolt of golden lightning shot from the Main God Computer and struck the Hunter x Hunter manga on Rosen's shelf. Soon, a new section of the Hunter x Hunter world map appeared on the computer's desktop. This time, Rosen unlocked Yorknew City, a major commercial hub in the Hunter world, famous for its annual auction. The city's population swelled to five million during the event, a vast resource pool for Rosen to tap into.

Yorknew City was the ideal choice. Unlike the sparsely populated Greed Island, the sheer density of people in Yorknew presented endless possibilities. The population would allow Rosen to spread virtual realms on a large scale, using the same techniques he had employed with the Grey Rats.

Hours later, the Nightmare on Elm Street realm finished integrating with Hunter x Hunter, and a mysterious new street—Elm Street—appeared at the outskirts of Yorknew City. Deep beneath the city, a newly formed underground network housed tens of thousands of Grey Rats, though they couldn't leave the city. If they did, they would fall into a dream world controlled by Freddy Krueger.

Freddy now governed this underground dream realm, possessing powers that allowed him to manipulate dreams—teleportation, shapeshifting, controlling gravity, and altering reality at will. However, Rosen had restricted Freddy's powers to Elm Street and the underground area. Freddy couldn't roam beyond those limits unless Rosen personally lifted the restrictions.

During the integration, Rosen unlocked two additional privileges. First, he could now teleport freely between Masadora and Yorknew City. Second, he could establish a new identity within Yorknew, similar to how he had created a player identity in Greed Island.

His new identity would allow him to influence tens of thousands of people within Yorknew City. Rosen could choose to become the head of a corporation, lead a criminal organization, or take on the role of Mayor of Yorknew City, controlling part of the city's wealth and populace.

Rosen explored his options and discovered that each identity offered distinct advantages. As Mayor, he would be deeply entrenched in Yorknew's political and economic spheres, balancing power and influence. If he became a crime lord, he would likely clash with the Ten Dons, the criminal overlords of Yorknew, which would complicate things. However, being Mayor allowed Rosen to wield both wealth and authority while avoiding direct confrontation with the city's true rulers, at least for now.

Rosen chose to become Mayor of Yorknew City, instantly transforming into the elected official on the top floor of Yorknew's tallest skyscraper. From his office, he surveyed the bustling metropolis below. Shadow Beasts, elite Nen users loyal to the Ten Dons, were stationed within the building. Their role was to guard the mayor, though they were also tasked with monitoring him.

Although Rosen could issue commands to the Shadow Beasts as mayor, they were ultimately under the control of the Ten Dons. To fully secure his hold over Yorknew, Rosen would need to find a way to win over the Shadow Beasts and, in time, build his own powerful faction. Only then could he truly rival the Ten Dons and take control of the city for himself.

In the meantime, Yorknew would serve as his base of operations. The massive flow of goods and people through the city's auction houses would provide Rosen with a steady stream of resources. Eventually, he could expand his influence further, using Yorknew as a foundation to extend his reach throughout the Hunter x Hunter world.

As Mayor, Rosen also gained access to a unique Nen ability that replicated many of Freddy's powers, such as controlling dreams and manipulating reality. The strength of these powers depended on Rosen's own Nen aura, giving him a potent new weapon to wield.

For now, Rosen would consolidate his position and expand his influence. The Ten Dons might have been the true rulers of Yorknew for centuries, but that would only last until Rosen was ready to replace them.
