Lord: Sequence Master

Chapter 38: Divine Territory

"I didn't expect my Divine Territory to successfully manifest with the help of divinity," Rosen muttered, his heart racing as he surveyed his domain from a god's-eye perspective.

The mysterious crystal plants Rosen had used hadn't just healed the wounds in his chest but also enhanced his physical agility. However, these changes seemed insignificant compared to the monumental transformation in his Divine Territory.

The newly formed Divine Territory spanned a 900-meter radius, with its size directly tied to his spiritual strength. Now that his spirit had manifested a personal Sequence Tree, his spiritual strength had increased from 8 to 9. Based on this ratio, the maximum size of his Divine Territory while still in Sequence 9 could reach a 1,200-meter diameter.

Within this territory, Rosen could reshape reality at will—summon storms, create objects from thin air, and mold the landscape as he desired. With a mere thought, the 900-meter territory transformed from a vast ocean into a desert. Inside this domain, Rosen wielded godlike control.

While the size of his Divine Territory would be difficult to expand, its quality could continuously improve. For instance, by introducing soil rich with spiritual energy, Rosen could strengthen his domain, potentially developing unique territory traits such as producing rare minerals or accelerating plant growth.

Currently, his Divine Territory came with five key traits:

Divine Territory: Sequence 9

Territory Size: 900 meters radius

Territory Traits: Divine Lordship, Glory Vault, Divine Copying, Fountain of Life, Sequence Seed

The Divine Lordship trait granted Rosen full control over his territory. Any lifeform spending extended periods within the Divine Territory would slowly assimilate into it. Even if they left, Rosen's influence would persist. This trait formed the foundation of the Noble Sequence's power, widely regarded as the most dominant of the Civilization Sequences.

Glory Vault, derived from his Glory Vault skill crystal, allowed Rosen to nurture his noble bloodline and ease future advancements within the Noble Sequence. It could also capture valuable items from the spiritual realm, although Rosen hadn't yet fully realized its benefits.

Divine Copying, linked to his Painter Sequence, granted the ability to copy one trait from another domain of equal or lower rank. While currently lacking practical use, Rosen saw its future potential.

Fountain of Life, stemming from the Hunter Sequence, provided significant value. All life forms in the Divine Territory could undergo a transformation, unlocking their latent potential by releasing life energy through spiritual pores, converting it into aura (Nen).

Many sequences had subsidiary sequences, with the Noble Sequence being the most prominent. The Hunter Sequence, for example, had Extraordinary Magical Pets as a subsidiary, while the Gourmet Sequence featured Chefs. Subsidiary sequences were powerful additions to the major sequences, creating synergies between various abilities and followers.

The final trait, Sequence Seed, also originated from the Noble Sequence. This trait allowed Rosen to embed a subsidiary sequence within his Divine Territory, enabling him to produce a unique Divine Army under certain conditions.

While creatures assimilated into the Divine Territory could leave, the Divine Army, born directly from his domain, would remain forever bound to him. Their strength would grow as his Divine Territory expanded and improved.

The strength of this Divine Army would directly influence the military power of Rosen's future Noble Dominion.

The subsidiary sequence couldn't belong to the human Nine Major Sequences, but Rosen possessed the Shadow Cat Sequence, which spanned from Sequence 9 to Sequence 2. Without hesitation, he fused the Shadow Cat Sequence into the Sequence Seed.

However, to produce Shadow Cat troops, his Divine Territory would require elixirs from the Shadow Cat Sequence, as well as living creatures capable of bearing those elixirs.

Only a short while ago, Rosen had considered himself quite wealthy, having amassed extraordinary resources from this realm valued at approximately 50,000 units of spiritual crystals. But now, when compared to the potential of his Divine Territory, his fortune seemed woefully inadequate.

With a sigh, Rosen withdrew from his Divine Territory, his Godslayer Crossbow hovering beside him as he prepared for his next move.

His goal was simple: extract every last bit of value from the Forest of Death Spiritual Realm.

The Sacred Statue of the Cat God acted as the core of this entire realm. By channeling its divinity into his Divine Territory, Rosen had already destabilized the realm's rules. If he didn't exploit its resources to the fullest, the realm would soon collapse, potentially within a few months.

Thanks to the Main God Computer and his Divine Territory's link to the Cat God's divinity, Rosen now had complete insight into the realm's workings. Plants and animals that had once been hidden from him now appeared clear and comprehensible, while the extraordinary creatures of the forest no longer dared to attack him. Wherever Rosen ventured, the forest was stripped of its resources, resembling a scorched land in his wake.

Rosen harvested every spiritual resource he could find, transferring them into his Divine Territory for future use.

Along the way, he collected materials needed for crafting Shadow Cat elixirs. However, rather than depleting these resources, he transplanted them into his Divine Territory, ensuring they could grow and develop sustainably. This ensured that his domain could become self-sufficient, producing elixirs up to Sequence 7.

Thirty days later, Rosen offered the corpse of a Needle-Eye Squirrel to his Divine Territory.

He had harvested over a third of the realm's spiritual resources, leaving it largely barren. While he desired to extract more, with the Black Shark Pirates likely returning to reopen the realm in a few days, it was time to leave.

Rosen concealed the aura of his Divine Territory, instantly triggering a powerful rejection from the realm itself. Without waiting for the spiritual realm's entrance to open, the entire realm expelled him, flinging him out into the ocean.

As he fell into the sea, Rosen crushed the Drift Spell Card, enveloping himself in a nen shield that carried him toward Black Stone Port. However, this time, Rosen deliberately dispelled the shield while still about 10 miles from the port, allowing himself to fall from the sky.

He didn't want to fly directly into Black Stone Port, as it could draw unwanted attention from the Black Shark Pirates.

Rosen's plan was simple: take the train out of Black Stone Port, then hire academy-certified instructors for both the Painter Sequence and Hunter Sequence. He wanted to gain formal knowledge and master the fundamental principles he had missed. Without this solid foundation, any future mistakes could become nearly impossible to fix later on.
