Lord: Sequence Master

Chapter 257: Gluttony Trap and the Uncrowned Dragon King

After the Dragon God Battlefield concluded, all the pure-blood dragons received their Lord's Rings.

Some rejoiced, while others lamented, as the size of their respective territories varied greatly. Those dissatisfied had no choice but to work harder: birthing more dragon offspring, converting more dependents, and painstakingly cultivating them to Sequence 4. For pure-blood dragons, this process was arduous and required at least several centuries of accumulation.

Bidding farewell to the other pure-blood dragons, Rosen activated his Lord's Ring and teleported away.

When the transmission ended, he arrived at his territory.

Through the Lord's Ring, he could perceive the size of his domain directly: a vast expanse spanning one million miles, filled with diverse terrain and landscapes.

If dissatisfied, he could use the ring to reshape the territory's geography, but such modifications came at an immense cost, far exceeding the consumption of a divine domain. Thus, Rosen had no intention of undertaking large-scale changes.

Instead, he focused on the central region of his territory, reversing gravity to raise a series of floating islands—each spanning a hundred miles—into the sky. Below them, he formed a newly created lake.

The floating islands were arranged in a pyramid-like formation, each layer building upon the one below. At the apex, a vast lake encircled by cliffs a hundred miles high was constructed. At the lake's bottom, Rosen placed a Sequence 2 water dragon's dragon crystal and established a magical array to absorb moisture from a radius of ten thousand miles.

When the lake overflowed, the water would cascade down the cliffs in sloping waterfalls, forming a layered descent resembling the Milky Way, before finally flowing into the lake at ground level. The water vapor from these waterfalls intertwined, forming rainbows around the floating islands.

Rosen solidified teleportation gates across the islands, then returned to the apex lake's center to create a ten-mile-wide floating platform where he constructed a dragon castle.

His vast territory housed countless exotic species fostered by the dragon race.

These alien creatures would soon become his dependents.

Transforming into his bronze dragon form, Rosen began surveying his land, surrounded by the miraculous cloud, which spanned a radius of 7,800 meters. As he moved, the cloud occasionally shed golden rain.

This rain was the disguised and transformed blood of the bronze dragon he had impersonated, using the power of the Ancient God. Any creatures exposed to it gradually became his dependents. By converting all the billions of beings across his million-mile territory, Rosen set the foundation for his domain's growth.

For years, Rosen worked tirelessly, finally transforming every living being within his land into his dependents.

Under the leadership of the dragonblooded naga, the dependents began constructing cities, cultivating supernatural plants, and breeding extraordinary creatures, maximizing the potential of the territory. In less than a decade, the domain shifted from being a burden to becoming profitable.

With the land now stable, Rosen could look forward to a continuous flow of wealth.

Over the next hundred years, the number of his faithful followers was expected to multiply severalfold. The elite among them would be retained to enrich the territory, while the less capable would be sold off as slaves.

As the dependents grew stronger and more talented, the faith they provided to the dragonlord would naturally grow as well.

"This would never have been possible in the human world," Rosen thought to himself. "In a land where resources are scarce, where could I have found a million miles of unclaimed territory?"

Relaxing on the castle's tower, sipping red tea and basking in the sun, Rosen enjoyed his moment of respite. With everything settled, it was time to focus on more pressing matters.

Apart from controlling the territory, the Lord's Ring also facilitated communication and trade with other dragon lords. Within the confines of the Dragon Realm, the ring surpassed the Main God Hall in utility. Rosen quickly reached out to the pure-blood dragons he had met at Dragon God Mountain.

Rosen's desire to establish connections was matched by the eagerness of others to befriend him.

After all, many dragons had their eyes on his metallic slimes.

The Sequence 4 metallic slimes were renowned for their unparalleled defensive capabilities. While acquiring thousands was impractical, owning a few dozen to protect their most valued dragon offspring and dependents was seen as an incredible bargain. Within half a month, Rosen had already sold numerous metallic slimes.

Of course, these sales weren't for just anyone.

Using the influence he gained through these deals, Rosen successfully established contact with the fire dragon clan.

Despite the Fire Dragon Clan being only a mid-tier dragon lineage with relatively modest innate abilities, they enjoyed the direct patronage of the Solar Dragon God.

The Solar Dragon God's true form was a Stellar Dragon, the only one of its kind in the entire Dragon Realm. This was no ordinary dragon—it had been born when a former Fire Dragon King devoured a True God-level Solar Divine Core. The core incinerated the king's physical body into ash, but its dragon soul merged with the Solar Divine Core, resulting in the birth of this mutated elemental dragon species.

Naturally, the Fire Dragon Clan's status skyrocketed as they became the Stellar Dragon's vassals.

This gave them access to treasures that even many high-tier dragon clans couldn't dream of obtaining.

Rosen spent a Sequence 2-grade cloud just to purchase a World Stone from the current Fire Dragon King's only son.

After obtaining the World Stone, Rosen wasted no time heading to the World Tree.

World Stones are rare artifacts that can only be created in independent worlds. The defining characteristic of such worlds is that they do not draw energy from the Main World but instead draw from the unknown void beyond.

Even True Gods cannot achieve this, and only a select few Great True Gods may possess such power.

Worlds like the Dragon Realm and the Abyss are examples of such independent worlds, and there are only a handful of them in the entire Main World.

The World Stone naturally contained World Authority, though the authority varied in strength. For example, World Stones from the Abyss contain far greater authority than those of the Dragon Realm. Apart from the three fundamental authorities of Time, Space, and Elements, different World Stones also encompass varying amounts of additional authorities.

Rosen buried the World Stone at the heart of the World Tree, using the tree's powers to erase any trace of the Dragon Realm's imprint within it.

Once the erasure was complete, he could use it to perfectly enhance his trap-related skills.

Rosen spent five years beneath the World Tree, continuously refining the World Stone with his own mastery of World Authority. Over time, he stripped away the Dragon Realm's residual influence, reshaping the World Stone to align with his essence.

On the day the refinement was finally complete, Rosen eagerly merged the World Stone into his innate transcendent skill, Trap Space, which was made of supernatural essence.

He then integrated his three Trap Creation skills into the Trap Space.

The fusion process took two full years. By the end, Rosen had forcibly combined the four skills into one, with the help of the World Stone.

[Trap World: Gains a trap world containing Trap Authority.]

[Divine Authority Trait: Rune Stones—Naturally generates rune stones imbued with various skill runes.]

[Divine Authority Trait: Rune Traps—Rune stones can be directly converted into rune traps.]

[Divine Authority Trait: Rune Fusion—Different rune stones can be stacked and merged.]

Originally one of Rosen's weakest skills, the perfectly enhanced Trap World was now among his strongest abilities.

The Trap World's unique nature as an innate skill gave it not only authority but also extensions of that authority.

Divine Authority Traits are typically expressed in one of two forms: the direct control of divine authority, where the user determines how to wield its power, or as extensions that represent a portion of Sequence 3-level authority, effectively enhancing the utility of divine authority.

Most skills fall into one category or the other, but having both forms is extraordinarily rare.

Rosen activated the Trap World with a thought, entering a unique realm born from his sea of consciousness.

The space wasn't large, with a diameter of only 78 meters.

The area was suffused with World Authority and spiritual energy. As Rosen transferred a significant number of spiritual crystals into the Trap World, countless rune stones began manifesting out of thin air. Each one was about the size of a thumb and resembled finely cut diamonds.

Every rune stone contained a naturally inscribed Trap Rune, born from Trap Authority.

Rosen picked up a rune stone, noting that he could infuse it with any skill he possessed, thereby transforming it into a Rune Trap.

To test the limits of these rune stones, he immediately chose the most challenging route.

He selected seven rune stones and infused them with seven different skills.

First was his unique field skill, World Domain, followed by Xiaolongnü's Anti-Magic Sphere, Dimensional Art, Five-Dimensional Painting, and Glory Seal, and lastly Void Shadow Realm and Mind Control.

After infusing the seven skills into their respective rune stones, Rosen began merging them into a single rune stone.

The success rate for such an ambitious fusion was incredibly low.

Even with the help of Miracle Synthesis, the odds were far from guaranteed. It took numerous failed attempts before Rosen finally succeeded.

When he activated the resulting rune stone to create a Rune Trap, even he was shocked by the final product.

The art of dimensions could perfectly combine different spiritual paintings.

Rosen stepped into the range of the rune trap and immediately began painting with fifth-dimensional techniques. He painted the Stomach of Gluttony, rendering its stomach walls three-dimensionally within the trap space formed by the runes. Over several years, he completed a total of 87 depictions of the Stomach of Gluttony.

He then used the art of dimensions to convert these depictions into points and lines. Afterward, he reassembled these points and lines into the form of the Stomach of Gluttony, fusing all 87 fifth-dimensional paintings into one using dimensional techniques.

This was not the end. The art of dimensions could turn spiritual paintings into points and lines for a secondary painting process, while fifth-dimensional techniques could construct ninefold spatial layers. Over decades, Rosen meticulously created nine layers of 87 stacked fifth-dimensional depictions of the Stomach of Gluttony.

Each painting was a Sequence 3 spiritual masterpiece, and stacking 87 of them created an internal world within nine layers of artwork.

After completing this step, Rosen used the Mark of Glory to incorporate divine authorities such as sealing, guarding, and glory into all the spiritual paintings of the Stomach of Gluttony, further enhancing its overall power.

Finally, he added powers such as the Anti-Magic Sphere, Void Shadow Realm, Mind Control, and World Domain, making the trap's fearsome power immeasurable.

In the True Realm of the Old Gods, Rosen temporarily handed over control of the Sequence 1 Dragon Puppet to Daisy.

At the moment, he couldn't fully control the Dragon Puppet. However, Daisy, who had already reached Sequence 3, had no trouble handling it. Psychologists specialized in puppet manipulation, so Daisy could at least unleash 80% of the Dragon Puppet's combat power.

"Are you sure you want to play it this way?" Daisy couldn't help but ask.

"I didn't spend these decades for nothing," Rosen said seriously with a nod.

Daisy stopped hesitating and controlled the Dragon Puppet to soar into the sky, unfolding its Time Domain.

As the Dragon Puppet dived down, Rosen held a rune stone in his hand, which flickered faintly before intercepting the Dragon Puppet.

The rune stone transformed into a rune trap, disappearing from sight as it activated due to the effects of the Void Shadow Realm.

The size of the rune trap depended on Rosen's spiritual strength. When fully deployed, it covered a radius of 8,700 meters.

As soon as the Dragon Puppet entered the range of the trap, the World Domain unfolded, clashing with the Dragon Puppet's Time Domain. Surprisingly, the Sequence 1 Time Domain didn't instantly crush the World Domain created by the trap.

However, Sequence 1's domain abilities were still stronger. The World Domain soon began to collapse. Before its destruction, it managed to tear a small rift in the Time Domain.

Rosen seized the opportunity. As the rune trap deactivated, the Void Shadow Realm carried the rune stone into the Dragon Puppet's shadow.

The rune trap then reactivated, this time overlaying the World Domain with the Void Shadow Realm. Using the shadow as a conduit, the trap bypassed the outer Time Domain and pulled the Dragon Puppet into its core.

The Dragon Puppet was dragged into the Stomach of Gluttony, a space constructed from overlapping spiritual paintings.

With 87 Sequence 3 spiritual paintings stacked together, the resulting Stomach of Gluttony was unimaginably powerful.

Yet, even this couldn't fully restrain a Sequence 1 entity. The Dragon Puppet used Time Dissolution to destroy the Stomach of Gluttony—but destroying one layer wasn't enough. There were still eight more, and each layer was composed of 87 stacked paintings.

Unless all nine layers of the Stomach of Gluttony were destroyed simultaneously, the Dragon Puppet couldn't break free of the rune trap.

While the trap couldn't harm the Dragon Puppet, it could indefinitely contain it. Even during its strongest outburst, the Dragon Puppet only managed to tear through six layers of the Stomach of Gluttony. However, due to the ninefold recursive structure of fifth-dimensional art, any damage done was immediately repaired.

This was the power of a Sequence 1 entity; if it were a Sequence 2 being, few would have lasted long inside the trap.

What appeared to be a simple rune trap was actually a combination of abilities from the Hunter Sequence and the Painter Sequence.

"This rune trap will be called the Gluttony Rune Stone and Gluttony Trap from now on," Rosen said, too lazy to come up with a more elaborate name and simply naming it after its core, the Stomach of Gluttony.

Daisy tried every possible method but couldn't rescue the Dragon Puppet. Only then did Rosen release the Dragon Puppet from the Gluttony Trap.

Good things came in pairs. Rosen had spent decades creating a rune trap capable of restraining a Sequence 1 entity. During these years, he also fully digested the Dragonblood Sacred Fruit he consumed in Dragon God Mountain. Now, it was time to see what benefits transforming back into his Old God body would bring.

Rosen released the bronze dragon form he had maintained for decades and returned to his original form.

The original 59% awakening of Rosen's Old God bloodline was directly increased to 65% this time, thanks to the enhancement of the Dragonblood Sacred Fruit.

Crossing the 60% threshold allowed him to gain another additional skill from the Old God Sequence. Since this skill was a natural extension of his Old God body, it did not occupy a skill slot for transcendent source energy.

This time, Rosen planned to master the auxiliary skill Flesh Avatar, which was an extension of the Old God body.

Mastering it posed no difficulty at all, as the awakening of his bloodline made it a natural progression. Rosen released a cluster of Old God blood from his Old God Heart Aperture. This blood instantly generated flesh and quickly shaped itself into a living replica of him, standing right before his eyes. Apart from lacking a soul and spirituality, the Flesh Avatar even replicated a sea of consciousness.

When Rosen first inherited this technique, he hadn't understood the value of the Flesh Avatar. After all, an avatar made purely of flesh and lacking spirituality seemed like nothing more than an empty shell.

However, after Ferren advanced to Sequence 3, Rosen finally realized the terrifying potential of the Flesh Avatar.

Rosen activated the Hunter's God-Eye, and over twenty Sequence 6 to Sequence 4 bronze dragons appeared in his vision.

These bronze dragons ranged in age from just a few years old to several centuries old. Using data transmission, Rosen accessed a portion of the arcane weave covering the Dragon Realm and directly teleported to the lair of a newborn Sequence 6 bronze dragon. At the time, the young dragon was sound asleep.

Rosen used Ashen Veil and Mind Control to seize the spiritual core of the young dragon. He then released the freshly crafted Flesh Avatar and collected a drop of the young dragon's origin blood.

The Flesh Avatar quickly transformed into the form of the young dragon. Then, using the Stomach of Gluttony, it devoured the young dragon's body. Finally, the dragon's separated soul, dragon crystal, and spiritual core were all integrated into the Flesh Avatar, now in the form of the young dragon's body. The entire process was seamless and flawless.

Even in its dying moments, this young dragon would never know that the body it used for years wasn't its own.

Over the next three days, Rosen replaced the bodies of all bronze dragons below Sequence 3 using this method.

With a single thought, Rosen could now take over these bronze dragon bodies. Any painstaking efforts they made to strengthen their transcendent bloodline or advance in Sequence level would ultimately benefit him.

If I replaced all the new generation dragons, I might one day indirectly control the entire dragon race.

However, considering the potential consequences, Rosen decided to spare the female dragons. He reversed time to return the original bodies of a few bronze dragon females.

Rosen didn't continue replacing dragons on a large scale, as crafting Flesh Avatars consumed the power of his Old God body.

If not for the Old God Heart Aperture, every Flesh Avatar he created would have weakened his Old God body. Now, with the Old God blood in the Heart Aperture running low, Rosen ordered all his subordinates in his territory to take action.

Some were tasked with hunting dragon beasts in teams, while others traveled to the territories of other dragon lords to purchase dragon beasts.

Dragon beasts were all transcendent beings. While few possessed true intelligence, their spirituality and physical strength were significant, making them the best materials for replenishing Old God blood.

Led by Li Shiqing, the gourmet hunters worked tirelessly, day and night, turning all dragon beasts sent to the dragon castle into spiritual delicacies to feed the Gluttonous Mind Beasts.

Rosen continued his replacement plan. His target was to replace the bodies of 60% of the pure-blood male dragons below Sequence 3 in the Dragon Realm.

He chose to spare the remaining 40% because some dragons, like elemental dragons, crystal dragons, and mountain dragons, were not flesh-based beings. With no flesh bodies, replacing them wasn't even an option.

Even so, Rosen had already distributed thousands of Flesh Avatars.

Once these pure-blood giant dragons matured, Rosen's Old God body would effectively gain thousands of additional "ornaments."

Over 90% of these dragons would likely reach the demigod level. When the time came, retrieving these Flesh Avatars would bring unimaginable transformation to his Old God body.

However, Rosen knew he couldn't recall them all at once. If the dragons discovered what he had done, it would trigger a relentless pursuit from two True Gods that would never end.
