Lord of the Time: I Can Reincarnate Infinitely

Chapter 465: 465: 10%

Witnessing Caleb's raw power, the Ufotans were astounded. "With such strength, this Earthling, this... Adam, is beyond what we've encountered!" another officer exclaimed. "This is strength that belongs in the top tiers of the Extraordinary Realm, and he's just a high school student!"

The Ufotans quickly left the gym, buzzing with the need to report their findings to their superiors. "To lift 500,000 pounds... that's not just strong, that's a level of power that could alter the balance of any conflict, any challenge he faces. He could probably lift large structures, easily toss vehicles, or create shockwaves with the force of his strikes."

Back in the gym, Caleb racked the weights, smirking to himself. He knew the Ufotans were watching, and he found their astonishment amusing. 'If they think that's something, they have no idea it's just 10% of what I can really do,' he thought, amused by their reaction and the secret of his true strength.

The Ufotans, meanwhile, relayed their observations with a mix of excitement and apprehension. "We must inform the council immediately," they agreed. "An Earthling with the physical prowess to bench press, squat, and deadlift 227,000 kilograms as if it were nothing is a significant asset... or a formidable threat."

Unbeknownst to them, Caleb's display in the gym was just a glimpse of his capabilities, a hint of the power he wielded and a teaser of the potential he held back, saving his full strength for when it would truly matter in the Universe Ascendancy Games

Word about the Ufotan's death in the gym spread like wildfire across the spaceship, and with it, tales of Caleb's freakish strength. Everyone was buzzing about how he easily managed weights that proved fatal for a Ufotan.

Even Caleb's own team, who had witnessed his capabilities first-hand, were taken aback by the aftermath. "Man, we knew captain was strong, but this is next level," Leo remarked, eyes wide, as they gathered in their common area. "Killing someone with the weight he just warmed up with? That's insane."

Mia nodded in agreement, her face a mix of respect and concern. "It's one thing to see him spar with us, but the reality of his power... it's daunting. That Ufotan officer wasn't weak, and yet..."

The Ufotans' attitude towards the Earthlings, and especially towards Caleb, shifted dramatically. Where there was once condescension, now there was a marked respect, bordering on reverence. They started addressing Caleb with honorifics, "Lord Adam" being the most common, a sign of their acknowledgment of his superior strength.

Caleb, finding the sudden change amusing and slightly annoying, shrugged off the formalities. "Cut the 'Lord' crap, will ya? It's just Adam."

During a meeting, one of Earth's officers noticed Caleb's discomfort with the newfound respect. "Strength is a universal language, boyyaa," he said, clapping a hand on his shoulder. "Here or anywhere else, it commands respect. They saw what you can do, and it's only natural they'd reevaluate their stance."

Caleb grunted, not fully comfortable with the attention but understanding the point. "Yeah, I get it. Still feels weird, though. I'm not here to be anyone's lord or savior. I just want to win the damn games and get back home."

After hearing all the buzz, the Earth Team got super curious about Caleb's real strength. "C'mon, Adam, give us a show. We wanna see what you can really do," Leo urged, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Caleb, half annoyed, half amused, led them back to the gym. "Alright, you wanna see a show? I'll give you a fucking show," he grumbled, heading straight to the weightlifting area.

He set every machine and weight to its max of 500,000 pounds. Starting with the bench press, he lay down, gripped the bar firmly, and lifted it with ease, his arms extending smoothly. "It's all about control," he explained, re-racking the bar. "Every muscle, every movement, it's controlled power, not just raw force."

Next, he moved to the squat rack, the bar bending slightly under the immense weight. Caleb squatted deeply, his form perfect, thighs parallel to the ground before pushing back up. "Balance and strength, that's the key here," he said, standing up as if the weight was nothing.

At the deadlift station, Caleb gripped the bar, his back straight, and lifted the weight smoothly off the ground, his legs and back working in harmony. "This one's about core strength, pulling from the ground up," he explained, setting the bar down with a clang.

For lateral raises, he picked up the dumbbells set at 500,000 pounds, lifting them with a fluid motion, his deltoids flexing impressively. "This is for the shoulders, stability, and control, not just lifting the weight."

After the demonstration, Caleb turned to his team, serious now. "Don't fucking try this weight, guys. You saw what happened to that Ufotan. Don't wanna scrape anyone off the floor."

Curious, the team members tried lifting, but even the strongest, Leo, could only manage around 90,000 pounds, his muscles straining with the effort. The others, like Mia and Ethan, managed between 70,000 and 80,000 pounds, impressive but nowhere near Caleb's level.

"It's not just about lifting the heaviest shit," Caleb said, watching them. "It's about knowing your limits and pushing them safely. Use your strengths, train smart, and build up to it. No rush, no foolish risks."

...

In their quarters, after the gym session, Leo, looking thoughtful and a bit troubled, turned to Caleb. "Hey, I've been thinking... about that Ufotan who died trying to lift your weight. Does that kinda make it your fault, indirectly? I mean, he did it because he saw you do it first."

Caleb, who was wiping down his sweat with a towel, stopped and sighed deeply. "Shit, Leo, you're gonna hit me with the heavy stuff now?" Experience new stories on My Virtual Library Empire

He tossed the towel aside and sat down, facing Leo squarely. "Look, I get why you'd think that, but here's the deal: everyone's responsible for their own actions. I lifted that weight because I knew I could. That Ufotan, he made a choice to try it too, not knowing his limits."

Caleb's expression turned serious. "It's like driving a car; just because you see someone speeding doesn't mean you do it too. You gotta know what you're capable of, what your limits are. That Ufotan didn't, and it cost him. It's tragic, yeah, but it ain't on me."

Leo nodded slowly, absorbing Caleb's words. "I guess you're right. It's about personal responsibility. Still, it's a harsh lesson to learn."

Caleb stood up, clapping Leo on the shoulder. "Yeah, it is. But it's also a reminder for us, especially now with the games coming up. We need to know our strengths and weaknesses, push ourselves but not recklessly. We're not here to show off; we're here to win, and to do that, we gotta be smart about it."
