Lord of Cosmos

Chapter 145: The Truth Is Heavy

Everyone agreed, and Minora went into her wooden house for a few minutes and then returned with a small crystal tied to a chain. She gave it to Yassin and said, "It is your mother's crystal, and with it, you will be able to use the power of the stream of life that flows from within the Crystal of Life. And then your power in using the elements of nature will increase."

Yassin held the crystal, and tears streamed from his eyes as he remembered his poor mother and everything that had befallen him, his family, and his people. Then he wore it.

After a few hours, the resistance prepared its best men and headed through the forest to the city, which was still in the grip of the Enix. Minora insisted on going with them to save her husband and find her son. After hours of walking through the forests, the resistance reached the city limits. They found some commotion from the people of Atlantis, who had taken advantage of the absence of most of the soldiers and rebelled. But the Enix had inflicted heavy casualties and beatings on them with their clubs until they retreated. But the cup had overflowed, and the Astra rose up in an attempt to free themselves before the rest of the forces returned. Yassin and those with him were optimistic about this and saw that their mission would be easier. Yassin raised his hand in a ready position, then signaled for them to charge without prior planning, as the situation did not require making plans at all. The resistance charged, cutting its way through the trees, their cries rising. The Astra's joy increased, and their enthusiasm and courage grew, so they pushed the Enix back, and they clashed with them, beating them and taking their weapons. Meanwhile, some of the Enix headed toward the resistance and began to fire at them. Yassin, who was leading them, pointed with his hand, and the air rushed toward the bullets and cut them into small pieces. Jarin directed the roots from under the ground to wrap around the Enix, pull them by their feet, and take their weapons from them. The Enix retreated, having been scattered a little. Lightning fell from the sky at Minora's command and continued to strike them and the ground around them. Meanwhile, Minora charged toward them, her heart burning like boiling volcanoes, as she shot electricity from her hand at them and dodged their shots. Elianu jumped into the air and landed on the ground with his hands, and the ground shook from under him, sending earthquakes to them until the ground was shaken from under their feet, and some of them lost their balance and fell. And the rest of the resistance was attacking them with firearms and nature abilities, if any. Meanwhile, the rest of the people of Atlantis were pushing them and charging all over the city, attacking the camps and military barracks, freeing those in the prisons, and taking the weapons and using them against them.

Yassin advanced and charged toward the Enix. With his left hand, he made the eyes of the earth erupt from under the ground and strike the Enix's ranks. Then, the water formed into the shapes of large snakes and attacked the army, drowning it. Jarin looked at him with amazement and said, "How can you control more than one element with such fluency?"

"My father and my grandfather, Minoth, offered to give us a power we could not imagine in exchange for joining him," Yassin said, shouting so that Jarin could hear him. "We agreed at first to learn the secret of his power, and we discovered that my father, Gaia, had discovered the secret of the Crystal of Life and was able to use its power in his service to provide him with an endless supply of energy that enabled him to control many of the elements of nature because of the nature of the Crystal of Life, which controls the nature of our planet. So he performed this secret on us, which there is no time to talk about now, and gave us a huge amount of energy. But to ensure that we would not turn against him, he only gave us half of what he actually had. After that, my grandfather and I refused to join him, and we fled with the rest of the family from the palace, and what happened, happened. Gaia is invincible with this crystal in his possession."

Yassin used the air at his feet and jumped high into the air, flying like a bird toward them, the wind carrying him. After that, he landed among them and unleashed a whirlwind of wind around him, which carried the Enix and threw them away. Then he clenched his fists together and fired a volley of fire at them, which consumed them and burned them to a crisp.

The revolution ignited everywhere, and many victims fell on both sides. The Enix knew that their end was near, so they began to withdraw one after another from the occupied territories and ran to catch up with Margoth and his men.

One of the commanders in the rebellious city called Margoth, panting, "Sir, they are coming from everywhere. We will not be able to stand against all this, and we need support."

"Leave them alone and withdraw. We don't need them anymore. The final battle is about to begin, and with it, everything will end. Also, the Astra will be an important factor in this battle, and that is why we tortured them severely by order of Gladious. This was to instill in them the spirit of fighting, resistance, and planning so that they would be well prepared for the final war."

"Your command is obeyed, my lord."

The commander ordered all the soldiers to withdraw and join Margoth's forces. They withdrew from this hell and left the battlefield. The Astra cheered with joy and jubilation, not believing that this hell was finally over and its time had passed.

Everyone went to treat the wounded and to get everyone out of the prisons. And despite the sadness that had cast a shadow over them because of their dead and wounded, they celebrated all day.

As for Minora, she went to the prison and looked for Omar until she found him sitting in a special cell, exhaustion showing on his body from the effects of torture and lack of food. She opened the cell, hugged him tightly, and began to cry. Omar raised his hand with difficulty and hugged her, muttering with difficulty, "Minora... is that you?"

"Yes, my dear, it's me. We did it and liberated the land, you won't believe this."

Omar felt a happiness that was evident amidst his pain and wounds. His eyes teared up, and he said, "And what about our son?"

Minora did not want to tell him what had happened while he was in this state, so as not to increase his sorrow. She lied to him, saying, "He is fine, but he is at the resistance headquarters. I will send someone to bring him."

"That's good. I was afraid they had found you two. Thank God."

"You are fine now. Everything will go back to the way it was."

Minora lifted him onto her shoulder and walked with him. She asked one of the Astra to help her, and he agreed to her request. They carried him until they reached a simple hospital where the wounded were being treated.

The suffering of the people of Atlantis with the Enix was over, but there was still Gaia, who had caused all this from the beginning. And they knew very well that he would be the fiercest enemy, with his merciless machines and the inexhaustible Crystal of Life.

[26]

Ares headed on his modern motorcycle through the ruined New Atlantis after he had said goodbye to Sairi and Ivanov and asked them to look for the rest of the specimens and comrades to repel this great attack that Gaia had launched on the humans to completely eliminate their existence. Ares headed toward the shelters in the west to meet the president and to learn from him the truth of what Gaia had told them before they had escaped from the city of the machines in the aircraft and came here.

After an hour, Ares reached the large camp that housed the refugees. It was surrounded by walls, tanks, cannons, and soldiers. Ares knew that his entry would not be easy, but an idea came to him that might enable him to easily access the president's headquarters. He changed his shape to the form of the old general and went to the gate. The soldiers raised their weapons at him and asked him to identify himself. He told them his name. They were surprised by the general's arrival on a motorcycle in this strange way. One of the soldiers said to him, "Sir, why did you come alone on this motorcycle?"

"The matter is important, my son, and the human race may become extinct if I do not tell the president this information. That is why I came quickly in this strange way to tell him about this information myself."

The soldiers looked at each other with apprehension and allowed him to enter. They led him through the camps, which were filled with thousands of hungry and frightened people. Ares looked at them with pity as he walked through the camps and saw the deplorable state of the people. Their faces were covered in filth from the lack of bathing, and some of them were emaciated from the lack of food. Misery was evident on the faces of the children as they sat in silence and exchanged curious glances with him. After a few minutes, Ares got into an SUV with some soldiers, and they drove him until they reached a large tent inside one of the camps. Ares got out of the car and went to the gate with the soldiers until he entered the tent, which was not much different from the other tents except that it was larger and was surrounded by the smell of filth and death. Ares went to the president and found him sitting in a chair behind his desk, exhausted and frail, and fatigue was evident on him. Ares looked at him, stared at him, and his eyes widened in astonishment.

"I know you! You are the head of the CITRA space agency! I have seen your pictures many times before."

Khaled, the head of CITRA, said as he looked at Ares with a weary, tired look, "Of course you know me, General. What's wrong with you today?"

Ares felt a great foolishness for what he had done. He forced a smile and said, "Get your soldiers out of here. The matter is secret and urgent."

Khaled arched his eyebrows and looked at him for a moment, then said, gesturing with his hands, "Leave us alone."

The soldiers left and closed the door. Ares returned to his normal African form, with his dark skin and cunning features. Khaled stood up from his chair in terror and was about to scream for his soldiers, but Ares raised his pistol at him. "If you say a word, your life will end."

Sweat poured from Khaled's forehead, and he said, the words choking in his throat, "Who are you? And how did your appearance change like that?"

"I am one of the results of your games with us, Mr. President! And now I will tell you something, and you must answer me honestly, because the fate of all humanity depends on your answers."

Khaled nodded his head in fear and sat in his chair. Ares told him everything he had been through until he got here and told him what Gaia had told them about his conflict with his brother and Gladious.

Khaled trembled at what he heard and said, with darkness, turmoil, and ambiguity in his soul, "My God, the situation is worse than I imagined."

Ares leaned his body toward the president and roared, "And now, tell me the truth."
