--- Chapter 46 ---

After killing the general-level demon and cleaning Ebisu Town from any possible contamination, Tenma and four others vanished into the night.

Yet not long after they were gone, a group of demon slayers and other supernatural-related factions arrived at Ebisu Town and discovered a massive crater.

They couldn't help but feel a shiver down their poor spine because if the explosion that caused this crater happened in other populated areas, they couldn't imagine the casualties.

"Self-destruct..." said a purple-haired man with an odachi on his back.

"If the demons spread their numbers in the big city and launched self-destructs simultaneously. It would be hell for all humanity."

"General-level demons are so terrifying!" Everyone in the area murmured to themselves.

A masked demon slayer shook his head and commented, "Not all demons could self-destruct. Even among the upper level, such an ability is rare."

"This general-level demon has defied the law of nature after slaughtering too many lives, which caused 'bad' karma to accumulate extremely. Don't you guys notice there aren't living people in the surrounding area?"

"The nearby villages are quiet and dark. We wouldn't have come to this rural area if the general-level demon didn't reveal its breath."

Someone suddenly snorted, "It's easy for your Demon Slayer Corp. We don't have a tool to detect a demon's breath. If you, demon slayer, could be more aggressive, this wouldn't happen."

The masked demon slayer glanced at the person, who wore a tailor-made white uniform with the "Emperor" character on the left shoulder.

"Ah, I thought who it was, so it's someone from the Imperial Guard." The demon slayer responded with a chuckle. "Who would have thought the dogs of the imperial family would bark at my demon slayer corps blindly."

"You, who only know how to stay in one place, wouldn't know how demons operate."

"Being aggressive is useless. You don't even know how dangerous the lower and upper moons are. They could kill a thousand of you by simply existing."

"You! How dare you disrespect the imperial power!" The white-clothed man roared at the masked demon slayer. He was one inch away from pulling out his revolver.

Swoosh!

The masked demon slayer suddenly pulled a sharp katana that was one millimeter away from slicing the white-clothed man's stiff neck.

"I dare you to do it." A voice full of a smile comes from behind the mask.

"Which one do you think is faster? My sword or your gun?"

The atmosphere instantly becomes tense.

Everyone stared at the masked demon slayer in amazement and broke into cold sweats because threatening an imperial guard like this was a domineering act.

After all, the "Imperial Guard" is under the current Emperor.

However, calling them dogs isn't wrong in this context.

The white-clothed officer paled when sensing cold, sharpness on his neck and stared at the masked demon slayer in disbelief.

Never in the imperial guard's wildest thought this guy would dare to make a move.

The purple-haired man sighed, "Let him go, brother. It's not worth a hassle."

"Even though everyone here knows about supernatural forces, they only know the tip of the iceberg."

"Not to mention the lower and upper moons... They don't know the danger of the demon king."

The masked demon slayer sheathed his sword and left, "You're right. In this chaotic era, people would rather blame others than solve the problem."

"Unfortunately, this is the world we live in..." After saying that, the masked demon slayer vanished into thin air and left some fluttering dust.

The purple-haired man sighed and glanced at a white-clothed officer with a pitiful look, "You are really unlucky, brother. Out of all the people in Japan, you offend one of the Hashira."

"Although the Demon Slayer Corp has been lowkey all these years, their mark in the history is still lingering."

"Five hundred years ago, a legendary swordsman could beat the whole of Japan if he wanted to, but he decided not to and focused on slaughtering demons his whole life."

"Since then, the Demon Slayer Corp has had its ups and downs."

"Even then, they are forced to be reckoned with."

"That brother before, I'm sure everyone knows who he was, considering there is only one person who uses such a mask in that organization."

Everyone swallowed their saliva hard and cast a pitying look at the imperial guard, who had an 'extremely' horror on his face as if someone just murdered his whole family.

"Well, I'm out. See you guys again if I have a chance in the future." The purple-haired man waved his hand, similarly disappearing into the darkness.

Even though the purple-haired man has gone, everyone still stares into the distance where the masked demon slayer is gone. The "clues" he had given allowed them to guess the identity of the masked demon slayer.

"A masked demon slayer..."

"A man in his late twenties..."

"Swift swordsmanship."

"As fast as the rolling wind..."

"There is no mistake. That masked man is one of the Hashira, Shadow Hashira, Jin Kagemaru."

...

...

Meanwhile, far away from Ebisu Town, five people sat comfortably around a warm campfire and roasted river fish.

Tenma leaned on a big rock, covering himself with a comfortable buck's hide and drinking herbal tea to calm his nerves.

"Are you sure you're okay?" asked a teary-eyed girl. "Why don't I massage your legs?"

Tenma rolled his eyes, "You have been asking that question sixty-nine times now."

"Aren't you tired?"

"Nope!" Mitsuri replied with a bright smile.

"Uugh, so bright..." Eri covered her face as if she just met her nemesis, the morning sun.

"Are you sure she didn't have superpower?" Kanao, who was beside Shinobu, couldn't help but ask.

After all, someone couldn't be this shining in the night. Mitsuri is literally brighter than the campfire.

Shinobu's mouth twitched uncomfortably, "Not that I know of..."

Shinobu knew Mitsuri possessed an abnormal physique; her muscles were much denser than a normal human, allowing her to possess superhuman strength despite having a 'lithe' figure.

Honestly, Shinobu was jealous of such a physique. To have an abnormal physical power to bulldoze everything on your path sounds like a dream to her.

Of course, Shinobu's current physical strength is not weaker than those of "Demon Slayer's Pillars" who trained for decades.

Shinobu has taken various medicines to enhance her physical training while rigorously refining her Tao to the utmost limit over the past few years.

While many people only know about Shinobu's poison that could kill commander-level demons, her fighting capabilities aren't weak.

However, Shinobu couldn't compare to Mitsuri, who was born with a "special physique" and trained herself from a young age.

It is the difference between talents.

Mitsuri pouted, "I insist! You must be tired and need to relax your muscles."

Tenma was speechless. This girl is so stubborn.

Yet, for some reason, Tenma can't refuse those stubborn eyes.

So, under the envious stares of three other girls, Tenma stretched his legs and lined them before Mitsuri, who beamed in joy.

"Hehehe~! I will show you my massage skills!"

Mitsuri gently reached for Tenma's quad and was surprised by its flesh sturdiness. It was even more monstrous than hers!

'Such amazing muscles. Is He even human?' Mitsuri was unknowingly charmed.

As Mitsuri began to massage Tenma, the latter helplessly sighed because the grip of this girl was not weak by any means.

An iron pipe would get crushed by this grip,

Thankfully, Tenma was physically strong. Any other person would get folded instantly.

Mitsuri is indeed the "Strongest" Bubbliest Girl.
